Throughout the past 5 years, I've been seeing O‘ahu slowly transform from a beautifully flawed and genuine place with tons of personality into a sanitized, sterile concrete jungle.
So many local businesses that have been around for decades are shutting down due to rising costs. Meanwhile, big chain stores take their place. Not only that, but all the farmland and natural spaces on the island are getting paved over and replaced with "affordable" housing that I doubt any actual locals would be able to afford.
I didn't want to make this solely a post where I lament and complain about gentrification, so I'm wondering if there's anything good that can be done to combat gentrification, even if it's just a little bit...
Overall, the movie is a 3/10 for me.
- Gangle. Should. Not. Have. Abstracted.
- Jax's redemption arc felt undeserved. As the circus was crumbling into the void, Jax just suddenly had a change of heart when Pomni caught him.
- The circus is just... fixed instantly thanks to Kinger's sacrifice? Why?
- Pomni is a fucking Mary-Sue and has no right to become the new ringmaster. I bet that if it weren't for the circus being deleted at the end, she would've repeated all of Caine's mistakes.
- The fucking dance party towards the end
- Having the episode end with the computer suddenly being unplugged and everyone getting deleted was just way too cruel and stupid to do. All of that character development was just thrown away for shock value.
Anyways, this episode was terrible and anyone who likes it should step on a Lego.
According to an anonymous source, amusement park ride based on Glitch Production's hit web series "The Amazing Digital Circus" is in development.
The ride will be manufactured by Sally Dark Rides. Riders will board "Wacky Wagons" created by the eccentric AI character named Caine and shoot their way through a colorful assortment of Midway-style games. However, the ride will also have a dark, unsettling twist that hasn't been revealed yet.
Both Sally Dark Rides and Glitch Productions have yet to officially announce the ride.

I visited the Yamnuska Wolfdog Sanctuary recently and it was a really beautiful experience! The wolfdogs were so fluffy, happy, and chill.
As a fan of the Balto movies and Wolfwalkers, this was a dream come true!
I would definitely go here again someday! If only plane tickets weren't so expensive...
I saw this in my feed. Apparently, there's this thing called the "Fever Effect" in which autistic tendencies lessen when an autistic person gets a fever.
I call bullshit because when I do get a fever, I'm clearly still autistic. My sensory issues and special interest still exist when I have a fever.
That being said, I want to hear if any of you either experience this "fever effect" or don't.
Over the past 2 years, I've been hearing about several incidents in which groups of people (usually local teens) beat up random individuals.
As an autistic young adult, I feel like I might be seen as a potential target by one of these groups. In fact, I had a close call last year involving a teen on the Bus. Thankfully, that incident didn't end in violence (only some stupid threats of violence). However, I fear that I might become a victim in the future.
I'm wondering if Oʻahu (or the islands in general) has always been this way or if this is a more recent phenomenon that I didn't notice while growing up here.
I'm scared not only for my safety, but also for the local youth who might become victims of violence or even join in on it.
