The main reason james looked so bad was mostly his inner monologue not because “he got hit twice”

He clarified like 3 times that he’ll die if Tom catch’s him while Tom made no such comment about james hits despite already having a giant bloody wound on his head that was drawn attention to before the fight even started

Base to base Tom seemingly has better ap flat out

He genuinely seems worlds apart battle iq wise he outsmarted him twice already.

Besides that number of hits doesn’t really matter in the context of this fight Tom only needs a few to finish the job in the first place maybe just one good one

That being said path James will obviously win next chapter but the number of hits doesn’t indicate much just wanted to clarify that
