First no answers to voice prompt then the buttons quit working. Less than a month old. I was hoping I'd get lucky and avoid any issues... charging them to full power now and see if that does anything. They were at 82% when they quit responding.
Bought used... immediately went to the range and put 150 rounds through it. Made it back alive...some cosmetic work to clean it up a bit is in the works but the overall shooting function was/is fantastic. Undecided about getting a TXG grip module now...but I think that is going to happen. I like the heavier weight of my brother's Legion but shot this pretty well as is today

It's Californicated so the mag disco sucks but the trigger feels good as is.

Optic, guide rod and V-Spec spring added... waiting to zero now.
Got my NDZ guide rod and spring to finish it off.

124g PMC. At one point I couldn't rack the slide back with a full magazine loaded...not sure what that was about...rounds were fully seated in the magazine...heat?
The solution was lock the slide back. Let it ride home and resume shooting.

The Burris FastFire E is, indeed, a large mailbox...it's ugly. But I wanted to see for myself. I know they make a quality product so I'm not too concerned with the performance...but here we go with project mailbox. Luckily, this is the back up so it's not like I'm stuck shooting like this if I don't like it (which the initial impression is "uuggghhh...fugly. with a capital "fug"...) but maybe it grows on me.
I know it's a mental/training thing and I can work through it but right now, I am a much more consistent shooter when using the Icarus...this is "tested" through my 4.0C slide versus my Alpha 4.0C slide in the Icarus. Both grips have Tyrant triggers...using the same magazine for runs with both set ups...might just be some sort of call from the universe to get another Icarus...
Or Icarus puts voodoo in its grips 🤣
