What is Steak Shack marinade?

Aloha! sorry my English is not best. I visited Waikiki last year and very much enjoy Steak Shack meat and rice. I was wondering if you know how they marinade (?) the meat to give it the flavor? I thank you for any help!

What adhd med was successful for you and what symptoms did it treat best?

I am in the process of trying out adhd meds. I am on the first med, which is Ritalin IR 10mg. I don’t have much to say about it. most of the side effects are when I am off of it and it’s mostly mood swings. really what I’m look for is something to shut my brain off. it’s always chattering, catastrophizing, obsessing. Im an adult in a profession where oddly enough focus isn’t really required. I just want to be ”normal” .

a couple of my family members told me they’ve had great success with Vyvanse so I’m going to try that next.

anyhow just curious what your med success story is!

How to improve tuning stability?

I have a Telecaster Player series and the thing cannot stay in tune to save its life. Conversely, I have a Vintera II RW Tele and I could use that to shovel my driveway and come back inside and it would be in perfect tune.

I’ve never gotten into the gear side of guitars or mods, but this one is driving me insane. any help is appreciated!

Propane grill keeps catching fire

I have a propane grill and it seems like anytime I cook something with a decent amount of fat or basically any oil it catches fire. no matter how high or low the heat is. The grill has been cleaned and I spent about a 1/4 tank of propane scorchign it on high. The only thing I can think of is the weber heat shield things seem to be the main culprit.

anybody run into this issue?

People who went from Lexpro to Ritalin; what was your experience like?

doc wants me to try Ritalin to treat my adhd instead of Lexapro and treating the anxiety. while I will remain on the Lexapro for the time being, I’m curious what the experience was for those of you who did the same?

I tried Ritalin when I was like 12 and remember it made me feel like a robot. However as a 40+ person, that sounds like a dream. Although I dont expect the same results this time

thanks in advance for any help!

Has this summer been less humid?

I am a transplant and mid-to-late summer here has always been my kryptonite because of the damn humidity. However this year I have had this incredible sensation of being able to breathe and not feel like I was being suffocated and I think it is because the humidity has been fairly light. Does anyone else feel like this or did I finally acclimate to the climate?

Has there ever been a book that has brought you peace in your life? As in; something you carried with you after you read it?

I’ve been going through it and need to learn how to find peace, forgive and love others

please no man’s search for meaning or YA.

Panicking when out of breath and on the bottom

*sorry English isn’t my first language.*

25 year old newish blue belt here with a weird problem. over last year I have noticed more and more I am panicking when on bottom and breathing heavier than normal. I start to imagine suffocating and it’s like my panic brain takes over. I’ll do anything to get out of that position and pretty much give up.

if we start on bottom from beginning I am fine. but once I have picked up breathing it seems to kick in.

i think people in my gym are starting to notice and im very embarrassed. has anyone had this issue and how did you solve it? thank you

edit: thank you all for these amazing replies I just woke up to!! If I don’t respnd directly know that I appreciate greatly. I feel much hope today

Made pickled hard boiled eggs but forgot to let it sit out and come to room temp before putting fridge

I followed the infamous r/pickling hot and spicey brined eggs recipe. it says:

“Pack the eggs and stuff in the jar. Layer it so there is
plenty of everything everywhere.
Bring brine to a boil. Immediately shut down and let
it cool for 15-20 mins. Then fill the jug with the
still hot brine, leave 1/2 inch headspace. Cap it tight
and let it sit on the counter over night. In the morning
put the jug in the fridge and let it sit for a minimum of
four weeks for best flavor. Then enjoy.“

I let the brine cool for 20 mins after boiling. however I then poured into the jar and closed it and put it in the fridge.

this is my first time pickling anything. should I take them out and about or can I continue on the pickle path?

Question about pickling/brines (specially the spicy hard boiled egg brine) and jars

if I wanted to make this subreddits infamous hot spicy hard boiled egg brine do I need to use the jars with that Balls brand style lid or can I use this jar I have here? I saw the eggs have to sit for 2-4 weeks and I didn’t know if this would be airtight enough to keep the eggs safe.

Good restaurants in western/northern Fredrick county?

I’ve eaten pretty much all of DTF, central and eastern frederick. But you don’t really hear about the other parts of the county very much. Curious if there are some good spots in the northern or western portion of our beautiful county?

What other meds can I ask my psychiatrist about instead of Lexapro?

maybe been off and on Lexapro for a handful of years now and I am just tired of the fatigue and stoicism. I had issues with anxiety and panic attacks and used this to curb them, which it did, but just dulled a lot of other things.

I would like to trade Lexapro for something else. I’m curious what else is out there so I can bring it up with my doc.

People who couldn’t jive with lexapro’s fatigue and lack of motivation; What worked for you?

I’ve been off and on Lexapro for panic for about 8 years now. I’m just now realizing that it sucks the life out of me and also makes me very fatigued.

i have an appointment with my psych soon, but i want to have an idea in the direction i want to go in.

i honestly don’t know if i even need it for the panic anymore, personally. Maybe just something to take the edge off.

thanks for any help!

Any “must-eats” in Center City? I’ll be at the Canopy hotel.

I’ll be staying in your lovely city for work next week and want to make the most of it. I’m good with pretty much anything. I'm coming in from HI so if there are any east coast staples there that would be nice too. Mahalo!
