I miss the bluntness and vulgarity of the manga. Also he looks pissed in the anime while in the manga he’s disregarding the news as dumb. Just a minor change I wasn’t a fan of. Still love that we get an anime though.

I wanna talk about it (manga only)

Hole.

It’s such a cool concept. From what I understand after several rereads it’s a pile of corpses infused with magic that bore a sinkhole and gained sentience. That sentience only existed off the pain, sorrow and hate of the victims so it only cared about killing sorcerers.

It raised the victims regularly, made rain that hurt them, that was what it knew to do for so long until it got a vessel.

Ai gave it a vessel and then a way into their world where it started to dissect sorcery. It always continued its goal and kept the weak sorcerers close because they were useful. I still am curious about some interactions, mainly when it gave Ton a burger, why act mildly selflessly and what did it do to keep their loyalty?

I think it was already godlike but got that status through the metamorphosis in the later chapters.

I love this manga for its themes of love and hate. Everyone is motivated by love EXCEPT the Hole imo which is justified but unnecessary. A lot of conflict is driven by hate, Kaiman hates the sorcerers for what they might have done to him. Fujita hates Kaiman for killing Matsumura, En hates the boss for killing his family. But most of that comes from love, in fact the only character with no love is Hole. That why it’s the antagonist

Thanks for reading this is just my interpretation of the manga, I never got to talk about it with anyone but I’d love to hear your thoughts.

I live with three others and want to cut how much they order out. What’s cost effective but appealing?

I live with 3 roommates, we’re all close and will cook for each other but split bills. Roommates A and B will eat whatever but C is a bit picky. I will admit not to an extreme but enough to say no to some recipes (stew, fish and veg. Basically any just protein and veg). I currently am unemployed and have a lot of free time so as long as I’m here I might as well help my roomies and cook cause I noticed they have a tendency to order takeout which isn’t good for wallet or arteries.

It’s a struggle though cause I’m the only one motivated to do this so I go out and buy for a good group dinner and get paid back weeks later. This leads my rent to be late and I feel terrible just trying to save my roommates from eating Jack in the box every meal.

I LIKE having a shared kitchen, I LIKE cooking, but I hate that it’s on my finances UNTIL they feel like they can pay for it. My roommates are working rn, I’m free, I WANT to feed them but I can’t do it on my own. Genuinely if finances allowed I’d save them from DoorDash full time. But I don’t have that money.

What can I do

I love Q Hayashida to death but I do have one thing I would change…

Aikawa would NOT have 0% fat. Those abs should be tucked away nicely in a cozy layer with the way he eats. Dude should be built like a weightlifter or XL mma fighter.
