Why was ROP not able to be the pop culture juggernaut that HOTD ended up being?

I remember back in 2022 when both show were about to debut, the anticipation was pretty similar yet after 4 years and 2,3 seasons it seems like RoP ended up being more niche while HoTD is widely popular in the real world.

Yes HotD has GoT as backing but RoP has the massive LOTR movies as well. They’re both on similar sized streaming services and RoP even has a bigger budget.

Why did the sauce didn’t take?

Reaching for the sky with baby arms here but The Kryptonian tech looks a bit Brainiacy no?

Of course Brainiac has many origins with him being from Krypton one of the most popular one thanks to the animated series, and we do know that the animated series so far has had a strong influence in the DCU. Anyway i was just thinking how skull ship like Kara pod looked.

There’s no confirmation of his origin so far but i think that the Kryptonian one is a strong contender.
