MMC falls in love with a sweet fairy FMC

Hello! I'm looking for more recommendations for this!

I've seen so many MMCs as fae and so on, but I'd love to read something where FMC is one. It would be funny if she could actually change her body size and fly around as a little fairy so that no one would hardly notice her. And then, there's MMC who finds her. But of course the plot may be different, though I would appreciate it if the FMC was a rather sweet and funny fairy.

I don't read dark fantasy/romance and don't like gore, so keep that in mind. Basically I want some sweet romance between a human guy and a cute fairy (both adults).

Are there any FMC who has OCD?

I mean, something that is actually part of her character and you can really see how she's struggling with it. And MMC who doesn't judge her for that.

I don't read dark romance / fantasy, or anything with too much gore. Spice is okay.

I heard Phantasma (?) has it, but I'm not sure if it's a good one for me. I wonder if there is anything else, or at least something very similar to OCD.

Nerdy, shy MMC and constantly flirting with him FMC

Credits to aitsuwu on X!

These arts basically show exactly the dynamic I want! Bonus points if FMC looks actually really sweet, but yep, she's bold. I have a few books noted, but couldn't really find anything with the fantasy academic setting and I realized that I'm craving it the most rn (something like Emily Wilde series or Love's Academic series where they are both professors). It would be perfect, but I don't know if there's any fantasy (or maybe historical-fantasy) rom-com with this dynamic?

REALLY innocent MMC, like he's so pure-minded, he can't take a hint (and FMC is the opposite)

I'm looking for something light, funny, cozy, lovely, etc. where MMC is the one here who's absolutely innocent about intimate stuff. This doesn't necessarily mean he can't have experience I guess? but he is completely incapable of taking hints from FMC. It would be funny if FMC even looked innocent and sweet (she can really love to dress perfectly, having hundreds of dresses in her closet or whatever else) but yes, she's bold and straightforward. Like they can stare at each other, smiling, no thoughts in MMC's mind and she suddenly says something SO intimate, and he is just blinking at her, blushing, or whatever, maybe thinking she's joking.

Huge plus if it's some academic setting (and MMC can talk hours about something they both love, despite FMC's impure thoughts haha) because I absolutely adore academic rivals trope in some urban fantasy or historical-fantasy! I really loved this in {Ornithologist's field guide to love by India Holton}.

I would really appreciate it if the characters were adults, please! As for spice, I think open door is okay? FMC can say really bold things, but it doesn't have to be extra spicy. Though I don't mind as long as it's well written.

As for trigger warnings I don't want to read anything with SA and gore. I don't read dark romance / dark fantasy. I also usually avoid love triangles. Thanks!

How to calm down when you feel like you can't breathe in hot weather

It's stuffy everywhere, whether inside or outside, it's night and I can't go to any store that has air conditioning, I don't know what to do because I don't want to wake anyone up, but it's so hard for me to breathe.

Edit: Thanks, I managed to calm down somehow

Has your pixel recently also had a higher temperature than normal?

I understand that up to 40 degrees is not overheating, but I've been using my Pixel 9a for the last few months and it's always been cool. I understand that it's hot in Europe right now, but I practically don't go outside during this time, so it's barely 25 degrees in my room. Whenever I turn it on, it becomes too hot to touch for me and I don't know if everyone has this problem or if I should take it to a service center.

Books like Avatar the last airbender but Katara ends up with Zuko?

I'm rewatching one of my favorite childhood animations and I remember always regretting that Katara wasn't with Zuko, because they had such perfect enemies to lovers potential! So I come to ask if any of you know anything similar with maybe adult characters and more focus on romance?

As for trigger warnings I don't want to read anything with SA and too much gore. I don't read dark romance / dark fantasy. I also usually avoid love triangles!

Your thoughts on special edition books. Is it worth it?

Lately I see a lot of my books getting a lot of different special editions and on the one hand I would really like to have them, because they're beautiful, but the price always makes me hesitate. But then again, some are only available only at a specific time and I won't be able to buy them later. How about you?

About homemade salt crystallization

I found a crystallization of salt that I made in school probably over 10+ years ago (the one with pouring water with salt into a jar and placing a pencil on it) and I'm wondering if something dangerous could have developed in that jar? It looks more or less the same as before, just crystallized salt everywhere.

Love's Academic series by India Holton

I'm reading {Ornithologist's field guide to love by India Holton} thanks to the recommendation here and I saw that it is part of a standalone series. Do the characters in the other two books also have such funny banter? I really like Beth and Devon's one, I know the second book is about a marriage of convenience and the third one is about best friends to lovers, but I wonder what kind of personality those characters have (like for example, Beth is shy and proper and Devon playful and flirty)? I want to know which one I want to read first after the current one, but also I just want to know if I like them too based on their dynamic

Cozy fantasy romance: MMC taking care of FMC's hair?

I saw it somewhere and now I want to find something with this! He could braid her hair, wash her hair, or comb her hair, or something like that. Like he can be sooo gentle with her, literally a cinnamon roll.

I don't want love triangles and generally prefer adult characters. Spice is okay if it's well written! Thanks!

MMC taking care of FMC's hair?

This is a kinda random trope to be honest, but I saw it somewhere and now I want to find something with this. He could braid her hair, wash her hair, or comb her hair, or something like that. I wouldn't mind if it was cozy! Like he can be sooo gentle with her, literally a cinnamon roll.

MMC who teases and flirt with FMC a lot, and she gets extra flustered

Hello! I'm new to historical romance, but I couldn't find many recommendations for what I was looking for in fantasy romance, so I thought I'd try something with a slightly different genre, maybe I'll find something.

I'm looking for more recommendations for this: bratty, always complaining about everything, easy to fluster FMC, but in a cute way. Like, she isn't seriously mean or something, I'd say spoiled princess-like (if she even is a princess I'd love it). Or she might be extra proper and shy about romantic gestures. And MMC who just loves seeing her blushing, teasing her all the time, doesn't really mind her complaining (he finds it rather amusing and cute), I want something with good banter and shameless flirting.

A big NO to: love triangles, cheating, some huge misunderstanding, completely red flag MMC (I don't mind him being slightly jealous/overprotective/possessive or something, but I don't want him to force her into anything. He's a tease, but he wouldn't say/do anything that would actually hurt her or make her seriously uncomfortable.)

I also prefer adult characters. Spice is okay if it's well written. As for trigger warnings, I don't want to read anything with SA. And I don't read anything dark.

I would also appreciate it if the romance played as important a part of the story as the rest (not a sub-plot), or the main characters between whom there is a romance were at least most of the time. But if you know something like that as a sub-plot, you can also recommend it, but I would be grateful if you inform me it's only a sub-plot.

Unfortunately, the closest thing I'm reading to historical fiction is Ornithologist's Field Guide to Love by India Holton and the characters are really close to what I want, but the plot is quite chaotic at times, so I'm still looking for recommendations.

I don't know if there is any more information needed, but I would be grateful for any recommendations

Someone recommended to me an {Ornithologist's field guide to love by India Holton} recently and I think I like the main characters but the more I read the plot is a little chaotic for me and I get lost easily so I don't know if I'll finish it yet. Also {Stay for Spell by Amy Coombe} was recommended to me, but I'm still looking for more recommendations!

Also I love the Emily Wilde series, but Emily isn't exactly the FMC I'm looking for. Although I liked the writing style and it's still one of my favorites series.

Thank you in advance!

Question about Ornithologist's Field Guide to Love by India Holton plot

I recently started reading it and at first I thought I liked it because I wanted to see the teasing MMC and proper and easily flustered FMC, but the plot seems a bit chaotic to me the more I read, and I don't know if it'll stay that way? Like, swiping between Beth being with Hippolyta and Devon the next, and so on? There are so many characters at once that I get a little lost 😭 Will Beth and Devon work together soon and the book will focus more on them, instead of just random encounters? I think Beth is really sweet, but Hippolyta annoys me a little 💔

It was already hard for me to find this dynamic in fantasy romance unfortunately, so I wouldn't like to give up easily with this one. I will be grateful for your answer!

Cozy fantasy romance with MMC who teases and flirt with FMC a lot, and she gets extra flustered

Bonus point if FMC is princess-like, maybe spoiled, she complained all the time, but MMC finds her adorable and can't help but flirt with her shamelessy. I don't want love triangles or cheating, though. He better be a green flag.

Someone recommended to me Ornithologist's field guide to love recently and I like it so far, but I need more.

I love the Emily Wilde series too, but Emily isn't exactly the FMC I'm looking for.

Bratty, spoiled, but endearing FMC x Patient, but teasing MMC • Fantasy Romance

Hello! I'm looking more recommendations for this, precisely— bratty, always complaining about everything, easy to fluster FMC, but in a cute way? Like, she isn't seriously mean or something, I'd say spoiled princess-like (if she even is a princess I'd love it). And MMC who just loves seeing her blushing, teasing her all the time, doesn't really mind her complaining (he finds it rather amusing and cute), I want something with good banter and shameless flirting.

I would be very grateful if it was a fantasy romance (with a dominant romantic part, so urban fantasy definitely leads the way, but high fantasy is great too)!

I don't read much contemporary romance because I avoid misunderstanding trope (tbh I probably have just a bad experience with contemporary romance—) and it doesn't sound that interesting to me in general, but! if there is something really nice out there that you think I should give a chance, you can mention it! Just generally I prefer fantasy here. And maybe I'm willing to try a historical romance.

Just absolutely not anything science fiction ❌

Also, a big NO to: love triangles, cheating, some huge and stupid misunderstanding, completely red flag MMC (I don't mind him being slightly jealous/overprotective/possessive or something, but I don't want him to force her into anything. He's a tease, but he wouldn't say/do anything that would actually hurt her or make her seriously uncomfortable.)

I also prefer adult characters!

Spice is okay if it's well written. As for trigger warnings, I don't want to read anything with SA. And I don't read dark romance / dark fantasy.

Thank you in advance!

About how some people react when you say you like reading romance

Not everyone reacts this way (which I'm grateful for) but have you ever admitted that you like reading romance and everyone either burst out laughing or criticized the entire genre? Like why do I feel like it's almost embarrassing to admit to liking romance with some people, when there's literally nothing wrong with it? Or even worse, when they say that romance books are not real books 💔 It's so frustrating.

Have any of you experienced this too?
