Do you have pet insurance as an employee?
I've been in vet med for about 9 years now and have seen the rising costs of care even with employee discounts. Do any vet employees here have pet insurance? Is it worth it even with your employee discounts? Do any pet insurance companies offer industry discounts? I'm getting a new puppy for the first time in a long time and just wondering if I should be considering it this time. My discounts are as follows...
- Free exams, bloodwork, X-rays
- 50% off ultrasounds and cardiology
- Medications/products at clinic cost
- Hill's, Royal Canin, and Purina Pro Plan vet portal discounts
- No payments up front, installments for however long unless employment ends. No interest. Minimum monthly due is $10 for whatever.
- We're only GP but do offer TPLOs and other orthopedics via traveling specialists. No other specialists on board.
Just picking everybody's brain about if it'd be worth it. Thinking about just getting Care credit instead.

What would you do differently if you could raise them all over again?
Hey, all. I'm getting a puppy in the very near future - my grown dog passed away very unexpectedly in December and im feeling a bit more ready to make the step. What I was wondering is what are some things I'd have done differently if I could start all over? Mine are practicing better recall and reinforcing positive and polite introductions, but I'd love to hear from others. I'm considering using a play pen and open crate this time around instead of just a crate.

Finally folded and got extensions again! so happy with them!
My previous experience with lashes a few years ago was kind of a disaster. Super uncomfortable, constant stabbing/poking feeling. This set is so light, comfortable, and it feels like they're not even there. Wish I had known this was how it's meant to be the whole time!

Just a quick review of my first rep purchase since it feels like forever since I ordered it! Order was originally placed April 15th, original order was seized, then the new one was sent out last week with an arrival date of 5/20.

I am completely OBSESSED! Everything is just the way I wanted it. The lock it came with did have some scratches on it despite being in packaging but im unconcerned with it personally. Overall just a really good experience despite my first order ever getting seized and this being the second shipping attempt! I'll post the wallet when im home, but I don't LOVE it. It's good enough, but the cut is strange/uneven, it was also from this factory and seller.

Any shelter recommendations for doggy day trips?
Hey, guys. My beloved 4 year old dog passed away in December. I'm not ready to adopt quite yet but the warmer weather has me missing my hiking and camping buddy. I'm hoping there's a shelter or rescue that may allow me to take a pup on a hike or day trips with me. I've called a few shelters and have had to leave a voicemail with no responses so far but I do get it's kind of an unusual request. If anybody has recommendations or leads for this please let me know!

Hi, all. First of all, I'm so sorry we're all here. My sweet 4 year old boy passed say unexpectedly and tragically in December - it's been soul crushing to say the least. This upcoming Sunday would have been his fifth Birthday. I'm curious how others have found themselves spending this day to memorialize their pets? We used to go to the dog park bar near me and he'd have a birthday party with all of his doggy friends. I don't think doing nothing will feel good? So hoping for some great ideas.
