I don’t think Ashley will ever be likable.

She keeps posting on social media and disabling comments. Honestly, I don’t think she will ever be likable. I think she’s really trying to change public opinion.

But actions have consequences. And your consequence is that you are a social pariah. I know Alix does her best to make their families get along but it doesn’t cancel out the fact that Ashley broke up a family. Same goes for TJ. Their reputation is forever tarnished, but TJ doesn’t pine and pine hoping that public opinion will sway. TJ is just as culpable and under patriarchy he doesn’t get enough heat.

Just my two cents.

Why is perfume so freaking expensive now?

Niche is like $400 a bottle for a 100 ml. Has it always been this expensive?!

How do you identify friends who do not have your best interest at heart?

Recently, I’ve noticed that people who I thought were my close friends harbor secret resentment or contempt towards me. I can tell because they will make underhanded comments that mock or belittle me. I told one of them I was applying for a job that would double my income, result in a promotion and allow me to get a new car (Audi). She goes “oh I guess we’re super fancy now aren’t we?” I wanted to introduce her to some friends and she goes “no I don’t want to meet them. We know how you’re bad at choosing friends.” I think my friends are wonderful and I am much more social than she is. There are also friends who make comments about my body or weight and the fact I don’t have a graduate degree.

What is up with people nowadays??

Friend’s birthday dinner scammer. Am I in the wrong?

My friend is not a very good planner and she has these extravagant birthdays where people are expected to pay for her. I skip out on these and tell her we will do something small for her after I got burned a few times.

In 2022, I celebrated her birthday with her and two friends. The bill was $350. I put down my card and the other two people refused. One of them is named Sam and one of them is named Ryan. They said they would pay me back and never did.

I was over both of them. Natalie, my friend, would invite me out with her two best friends Sam and Ryan. I refused and I did not tell her about what happened at her birthday.

This year (2026), she wanted to do a birthday. Ryan is no longer her friend. I never got payment from him. Sam still has not paid me back. She said give Sam another chance. She’s not like that.

So I go to dinner with her, her sister and Sam. The dinner reservation was at 9:45 pm, which is very late. It was poorly planned because Natalie made the reservation at the last minute. I ate beforehand and ordered a French onion soup, garlic bread and fries to share. I don’t drink so I just had water. Sam orders a filet mignon, wine, a drink, and a side. Each of the drinks were $20 — it was a nice establishment.

At the end of the night, Natalie’s sister put down her credit card. Sam reached to pay and goes “don’t worry let’s just split it three ways”.

Am I in the wrong for telling Natalie this morning it was unfair? I am so over this bitch. I barely know her and she’s managed to scam me out of $100 and now wants to scam me some more out of another $50. I am also so over Natalie. She defended Sam saying “she didn’t know”. Bitch please.

The blonde host chick is the worst during the reunion. Seriously not a girl’s girl.

This type of woman is dangerous. She excuses the stupid behavior of men. Doesn’t support other women. Doesn’t see the pain Harry causes other people. Stay far far away from women like this. Does she hope Harry will pick her or what? She’s like 45.

All my major exes ended up with my doppleganger.

It’s depressing to know how easily replaceable I am by someone who looks like me but is even better on paper than I am. Meanwhile I find it hard to even find someone who cared for me the way they did.

Is “to continue my legacy” a good enough reason from a man who wants children? Would you bear his children?

I am on the fence about children. I always ask men why they want children. It is always “to carry on my legacy”. I have never gotten a different answer in my life.

Are women really okay with this answer?

Does anyone know which bakery has the best chocolate chip cookies with the following characteristics?

The cookie is big and flat. Probably 5-6 inches in diameter. It’s chewy and melty. It’s the best chocolate chip cookie I’ve ever had. The one a friend brought to me a few years ago came in a pink box almost like a donut box. But it’s hard to tell which bakery it came from. Thanks!!

It’s been over 3 years…

I use to post here a lot when we first broke up. For an entire year I kept posting here. That account is deleted and long gone. But yes I still miss my ex every single day. It has not gotten any better. It’s just manageable. I assume I will be like this for the rest of my life. The feeling is akin to grief and regret. Just every day I think about him, wonder what he’s doing, hoping he’s happy, wishing he would reach out, etc. But I know he never will.

It is really scary how much time has passed, how much life I’ve lived and I am still stuck on him. Time has not healed me and I am so scared it never will.

A few weeks ago you took your dog to the vet. You didn’t know this but your vet is my good friend of 14 years. She told me she saw you. In my head, I convinced myself you moved out of the city and we were not longer living within miles of each other. It was really hard to know you’re still around.

I think the world of my friends, but some of them don’t think as highly of me. Has this been an issue for you when there are still benefits to the friendship?

Would love to hear how you navigate things like this from people with life experience. I’m in my 30s :)

How much do you stock up on product given how difficult it is to find good matches for our skin tone, especially when a product is discontinued?

MAC is reformulating Alone Time and I love that lipstick. How much should I buy? 🤪

AITAH for not wanting to split a check 5 ways instead of 6 because one guy threw up?

I have two friends who are a couple and they had a housewarming party. We drank and decided to go to dinner. One of the hosts, Harvey, drank one too many drinks.

The six of us went out to the restaurant. Sarah drives. It was myself, Jason & Harvey (the hosts), Dan, and Sarah and John (a couple). We order family style and all eat. Harvey taps out early and barely eats anything. His head is down. I am seated next to him and realize he is vomiting on himself, the booth and the floor.

Jason & Harvey go to the bathroom to clean up. Dan & I clean up the table and the booth. Sarah & John to grab the car so they can pick us up in front of the restaurant. Dan puts down his card to pay, and I pull out cash as an additional tip for the busboy.

We all pile into Sarah & John’s car on the way home. The car seats 5 but there are 6 people, so I am seated on the floor right between the legs of Harvey who smells like vomit and has a bag that he is puking in.

We get home, make sure Harvey is okay, and all go home. The next day, we check in to make sure Harvey is doing alright. He is embarrassed but we reassure him that it happens to the best of us. I remind everyone that Dan paid and we need to pay him for dinner.

Jason later messages us and asks if we can split the $180 bill (that includes tax and tip but not my cash tip) 5 ways instead of 6 ways because “Harvey barely ate”. The meal was essentially $30 per person, which is not expensive by any means.

AITAH for pushing back and saying we should split 6 ways? I didn’t even ask for my cash tip to the busboy to be compensated.
