What's been your experience of using decomposed granite for an outdoor firepit area?

I love the raw look of this and am considering using deco in place of paving for an outdoor firepit and seating area. Have you been pleased with using this in terms of looks, durability, drainage and anything else worth considering?

Which pavers do you think would work best for this space?

Please help me decide between the darker Basalt Flamed Top Random Shape Stepping Stone (900mm) or the Organic Sandstone Steppers (600mm). I prefer the look of the darker option. I also imagine they are less likely to stain compared to the sandstone, but as we live in Australia, the heat could make the dark colour unusable. Using 5mm riverstone gravel inbetween

Ground size for turf cutter hire vs manual turf removal

I'm halfway through removing 40 sqm of sodden clay filled buffalo lawn and my back is hating me. Im committed to finishing as my technique keeps improving but when i include tip runs, it'll be two full days of hard labour.

Those who do this regularly, what size job is the tipping point where its worth the time and cost of hiring a turf cutter instead of manual removal?

How long did you spend at a gym before switching, cancelling or just no longer going?

Ive been a member at a good quality one for 24 months and there might be 5 people here who I recognise from before I joined.

SaunaPod Upgrade

Played around in the shed over the weekend and built this bench seat after a couple of iterations with some old wood. i was using the small camping chair that came with it.

Its transformed my sauna pod as you can feel the steam coming through, its big enough to spread yourself out and stretch, and I even had my wife and I in there turning it into a couple's sauna. I want to make the next one from cedar so it smells like a traditional one. I rubbed eucalyptus oil all over this one which smelt pretty epic too.

Have any of you done anything similar?

I also see there's a fair bit of SaunaPod hate on here. I have a welders blanket on the roof and its usually too hot for me to last more than 20mins, I love it.

Can you give our Zim boys some solid support tomorrow?

Boys, Springbok As are going to bring some serious heat tomorrow, but we're building from a base of very lean club structure and politics that make SA look like world standard compliance.

Next year is our first world cup since 1987 and we've taken aome serious scalps on the way; Namibia, Kenya, Morocco, UAE, South Korea.

Those of us north of the Limpopo support the Boks with all our might whenever those jerseys come out so can we at least get some good support from you all tomorrow towards your neighbours?

When buy timber from trade section, and goods from the main store....

Is it acceptable to pay for timber, stay parked in a bay and go finish buying other items in the store, or would you expect someone to leave and move to the main carpark first?

Will star jasmine survive on this north facing shed wall?

Ive just moved them from a shady spot and would love for them to cover this side of the shed that gets good sunlight. I'd extend the trellis too.Its pretty warm to the touch already so I can imagine summer would cook it, or are they really tough?

Do you plan to travel Interstate in the next month?

If you haven't booked yet, I have $1k Virgin Australia credit which needs to be used before 30 June and I'd be happy to offer this at a decent discount.

Too much water or thirsty?

These heliconias are looking unhappy for their first time ever. We got heaps of rain (80mm) last week so didnt give them anything more until yesterday (didnt check if the soil was moist first). They still look unhappy so I'm trying to figure out of they've had too much water or are still thirsty? I did put down a fair amount of dynamic lifter before the rains hit too so could that have been too strong for them? Never known any heliconias to hate too much watering so any help would be appreciated

Wheel Tables. Whats the point?

Can someone explain the point of these wheel tables? You're restricted to having it by your dirty wheel which could be covered in mud or possum guts.

With marginal more space and weight, you could carry around a fully portable table with legs?

What am I missing because they clearly have a market with offroaders?

What's been your experience attending a JT Foxx event?

I've been invited to an investor summit he's holding in Brisbane this week, but for some reason, my gut instinct tells me it's going to be a bunch of grifters trying to sell training programs and MLM schemes. Has anyone been, or know what he's like?

Those of you that feel you live in the best suburb in Brisbane, where are you and why do you feel that way?

Just been for a walk along the foreshore from Wynnum to Manly and back and this place feels like a hidden gem. Markets, lots of fit people training and 100s of cute doggos
