Rate your preference for grades

I thought it would be interesting to see for which grades people like to substitute. Here is my list in order of best to worst. I prefer High, then Elementary, and finally Middle.

11 > 12 > 10 > 3 > 4 > 9 > 2 > 1 > K > 6 > 7> 8 > 5

Solo play, does platform matter?

Solo player here wanting to get the game. I have a Mac M5 with 24GB with Steam and a PS5. Both should run the game. Are mods enabled on PS5? How is controller support on PC? Do you think there are any other advantages or considerations for a solo player?

High risk leveling recommendations?

Hi, I am new to Coa and want to try high risk mode to see how it goes. I'm slow and not great a PVP as I tend to panic and just spam button mash. Can you recommend a class with fun leveling that can escape more often than others from ambush? Hopefully it's fairly straightforward and has good mobility too. Thanks!

Seasonal Specialist, how is it?

I got an offer as a seasonal specialist starting in August. Reading this group has me thinking I should just not bother. I do not have a sales background so I am not too excited about the idea of metrics. Does it really matter for the 6 months I will be working? I have another job offer that pays less but is much more chill. It also involves working with people but there is no sales aspect. This will just be a part time post retirement job for me.

Bought a GTS

Today I picked up a used 2018 GTS with 3800 miles. I named it Kermit! I want to black out some of the chrome and add crash bars. Otherwise just get to riding. I have been on motorcycles lately and am happy to be back to a scooter!

KTM 390 X in USA

Anyone here purchased the 2026 KTM 390 Adventure X in the USA? It seems like most of the reviews I have seen are the Indian version which looks like it has a different screen and cruise control. I think we get the poverty version here?

Comfortable, affordable, reliable bike

I have mostly ridden dual sports for the last 30 years but honestly I am ready to just get rid of my CRF300L and get something smooth and easy to ride for my short weekend trips. I never ride anything more technical than groomed gravel roads. I dont need to go much more than 70 on the highway but I want it to cruise comfortably at that speed. I dont ride more than a few hours at a time, usually less. I am thinking I probably want a twin cylinder for smoothness and cruising power, maybe a standard or a dual sport for comfort? I dont know much about cruisers, any options there? Maybe even a big scooter? My budget would only allow used in the $6000 range. Thanks!

Minimalist sleeve?

Can anyone recommend a thin sleeve for the 15 Air? No pockets or zippers, just something to protect the outside when in another bag.

14" MBP vs 15" MBA for primary computer, some gaming

As is typical, my price keeps creeping up as I try and add just a little bit more to my next laptop purchase.  Right now I am considering the following:

2026 MBA 15" 24GB/1TB $1549 (Amazon)

2025 MBP 14" 24GB/1TB $1699 (B&H)

My research shows the Air is lighter, thinner, has better Wifi and Bluetooth.  The MBP has more ports (same speed?), better screen, better speakers, active cooling.

My use case is web, streaming, and gaming (not AAA) with Crossover.  I want to get into some AI and rekindle my programming interest.  I am coming from an older Mini PC and its driving me nuts.

I never fly, I rarely travel other than by car.  I would mostly use this on the couch and could see eventually setting up a desk with another monitor.

Advice?

Thanks!

16 vs 24 vs 32GB

Hi, I am looking to replace my old Windows mini pc with a new M5 Macbook Air. I am probably going to get the 15, or maybe the 13 with the 10 core GPU. My main question is around gaming and RAM. I realize more is always better, but where is the break point for using CrossOver and running survival crafting games like Valheim, Grounded, Subnautica, etc. via Steam? Also, can you run an e-gpu via the Thunderbolt port?

Early retirement work

I retired a little early and am looking for a part time job less than 20 hours a week. Any post retirement or older workers here? How tiring is the front line work? Do you get breaks? How flexible is the schedule? How many hours per day or shift? Do you have much input on when you work? Thanks!

Testing the waters for free?

Hi, is there a way to create a web community/forum on a free host and then migrate it to a paid service when and if it takes off? Or are you better off just paying and hoping and canceling when and if it fails? I have an idea for a community, there seems to be a need and demand but I dont have a bunch of money to burn to test it out.

▲ 1 r/carmax

How typical is it for Carmax to give you a lower offer once you bring the car in assuming its within the 7 day mileage window and you didn't misrepresent anything? Do they just basically start over as if the online quote didn't exist or will they honor it, typically? I just want to mentally prepare after having to drive out there if I should expect a lower offer...
