Are there particular restaurants that are more entry level?

Never been in the industry. I want to see if I can find some kind of weekend gig or something. Are there particular restaurants that are more newbie friendly?

A girl was trying to get me a job at her place but I thought it was a bit too fancy. A bar and grill. I guess I see iHop and Dennys as more entry level? Does that sound true at all?

Xrays came back fine, now what?

I'm at a loss. I thought for sure they would show something. Considering how bad they've gotten. 2024, they were completely fine. Now it feels like there is so much slop in them and they crack a ton and sometimes don't align right when compressing or extending them. Sort of bind/hurt/feel terrible.

Was my 6th visit to this doctor. Only thing positive was the RF factor, just barely. I've been refereed to a pain specialist. Which idk why, because I'm not in pain. I just feel like absolute shit. I guess I'm going to see what they say?

I have a 2nd opinion Rheum next month.

I feel like I have all the symptoms of Lupus, RA, Sjogren's, or a lot of them in the least. But apparently I don't have any of the markers for any of that.

IHOP? Is this true?

Do they have some sort of different pay structure? Like $12hr base + tips?

Never been in the industry but have been able to talk a tiny bit with a cook and some waitresses. I’m very curious about getting a part time job to try something else.

Edit: central Texas. “Competitive pay of $12hr”

What are the chances of getting a part time job like this?

I’ve been curious about serving. Recently had a chat with a waitress. I’m wonder if it’s possible to get a part time job, after my full time job? Maybe start my shift around 5:30-6pm? It would also be my very first job in the industry. Then weekends?

I’ve thought about iHop, maybe chilies? Idk if there are places that are more entry level.

Do Pax ever make you feel shitty about yourself?

Had a couple take a ride. They seemed to be young and quite extroverted with confident voices. Talking about their jobs and their co workers. Medical. Making some 250-500k.

Mind you this is Austin Tx and I think I netted about $15hr on that ride.

Wanted to get out of the house and earn a little bit of money but just feel like shit instead.

Last year when I stopped rideshare, I had this pax that worked at an Amazon warehouse as some kind of team lead/coach. Said he was hourly and made $33hr + OT. Working behind a computer most of the day. Easy work.

Me questioning myself and my life. Any time I try and look into a different field, all the job listings pay crap. Require a stupid amount of skills.

Fuck the Police… Patrol Vehicles

2 halogen low beam sedans and then a Ford Explorer Patrol Vehicle. *worse in person but pretty damn accurate.

Just realized the Prius is obscenely loud.

I’ve got a 2010 Gen3. This weekend I’ve realized it’s obscenely loud. At 80mph you basically have to yell at people to understand them. Went for a ride in a 2018 Nissan Titan with a more aggressive AT tires and it was pretty damn quiet.

I’ve know for years that the engine is pretty loud. Would be sitting in a drive through and the engine turns on and it becomes one of those loud trucks with no muffler idling.

But damn is it loud at speed.

Also found out that when the oil door on the aero panel ripped off, it now causes random serious vibration at 75+mph.

What are the markers for Seronegative RA?

I'm so confused now. I'm not really sure what they are, but then the Doc started talking about the same blood work for regular RA when I tried to ask about Seronegative. Saying everything was negative. Are symptoms not a marker?

How do I push for treatment and what do I ask for?

I’m thinking about giving my doctor one last chance. I just don’t really know what to say to push for treatment and what treatments will be. Do I ask for the DMARDs or Biologics? I’m scared to take either.

Are we actually tapping at 30-50sfm?

I think the fastest I’ve ever tapped at is 600-800rpm on a 2-56 cut tap in some aluminum with a slit on the side of the hole.

I think I was doing 1/4-20 cut taps in aluminum at 400rpm. Ran a 2nd batch of parts and it was ripping the threads bad and the no go went.

Right now I’m trying to cut tap 10-32 and 1/4-20 in some 304 stainless. 0.600” full thread. Drilled through. Was doing a 0.3” peck.

Was going 6 and 7 sfm. Broke the 1/4-20. Now I’m running 5sfm on both. Was originally about 120rpm for both at 6&7.

As many around here, it's not going well with the doc and I'm not sure if I want to give them a 6th chance or wait 70~ more days for the 2nd doc.

I'm wondering how Seronegative RA is diagnosed and treated. I also wonder what the blood results mean? I'm barely positive 25(25) on RF IGA, but Sedimentation rate and C-Reactive are negative. I thought the doc was running the same tests, but apparently she's just running the Sedeiment and C-Rea only. I also have been dealing with about 30 different symptoms these last 1.5 years.

2010 Gen3 221k miles. I feel like the passenger side wiper is hitting on its way down and bouncing back up slightly.

Does it look and sound normal to you?

u/bigblackglock17 — 18 days ago

I’m wondering if anyone else experiences something like this and can help me figure out what to really call it.

Just sort of out of nowhere everything feels like shit. Not really bone wise but like my whole torso and throat. No fever or anything. But almost but not really at all feel like I could throw up. I just don’t know how to describe it.

It maybe last a couple of hours.

So it turns out that I can get another appointment with my Rheum in less than a week. Do I make one and not let her kick me out of the room before I get to say anything and avoid crashing out or wait 70+ days?

I’m thinking maybe she can get me on some kind of medication that people say takes multiple months to start working and by then the new doc can take over.

Thoughts?

Is that really how this is? Something like 8 months for a 2nd opinion. I just feel like as every week goes by, I’m getting worse and worse. Everything started going to shit in December 2024. Spent most of 2025 getting the run around of various specialist until I finally got to the rheumatologist. Who I visited 4-5 times in 8 ish months and was nothing but a waste of time and money and health.

Edit: I was looking at appointments. I can apparently get in tomorrow for one of the doctors, if I select follow up visit. But if it’s a new patient, it’s 2+ months. wtf.

Idk if it qualifies. But it seems like so many people are blown off by their Rheum around here.

I myself had a pretty shitty experience with mine multiple times. Still waiting for that 2nd opinion. Don’t know if it qualifies either.
