Can I use hand wraps in Wing Chun?

Can I use hand wraps in Wing Chun?

Due to chronic wrist pain from Boxing, Doctor has suggested I take up a more low-impact martial art.

I brought up Wing Chun but he said the bare handed nature of it might not be suitable for my condition.

Do you think I can get away with using handwraps for training? I know obviously in a self-defense scenario we’ll be bare handed, but I need to train for longevity.

Why did the cars in ProStreet have different front and rear rims?

Was it an aesthetic choice during that time period? Or it’s like a beater car

Looking to move out, which areas are good midpoint between Putrajaya and KL City Centre?

Basically the title, looking for areas with decent property prices (e.g not more than RM1.5k for whole unit rent) which are not more than 30 mins away from Putrajaya and KL.

I have a car, my partner relies on public transport. So it’s ok if it’s closer to KL than Putrajaya.

Is it worth getting more expensive handwraps? (pic unrelated)

Just curious whether there is a need to invest in more expensive handwraps e.g Twins, Fairtex

Or if the cheap ones from Everlast will do

Was Ian hooking up with Sarah too?

Something feels like he was having threeways with Nikki and Sarah, the Gattouz0 of the Obsession universe, if you will

What are some of the worst takes you’ve seen on this sub?

My one is when someone commented saying it’s ok to bring up an employee’s high-intensity hobbies in annual performance evaluation, because occasional injuries affect being present at work.

Why are China car drivers so bad?

China cars as in BYD, XPeng, Jaecoo etc (exclude Proton for the pedantic ones)

Seriously why do most of them have shit driving skills lol. Tailgating, speeding during rain, generally impatient and never gives way.

Wrist pain after throwing hook, what did I do wrong?

Recently got some new TopBoxer Alien gloves and love hitting the bags with them.

However I noticed with the lead hooks, I had sharp wrist pain on the base of my wrist, pinky side (see red circle).

What’s wrong with my technique? I never got this with Thai gloves despite inferior wrist support.

The gameplan if I was Bear

Tbh Bear missed out on a big opportunity during Boys’ night. Here’s what I would’ve done

Step 1: After Nikki freaks out and stabs herself, he should have insisted both Ian and Sarah to accompany them to the hospital.

Step 2: Nikki was being a danger to herself and others so she should have been sedated technically. Ian and Sarah could corroborate this. Assuming this happens, Bear can plan the next steps with Ian and Sarah.

Step 3: Rush to buy 2 OWW with Ian and Sarah. Sacrifice one OWW to prove that it works (wish for billion dollars I guess). After that, get Sarah to wish for everything to be back to normal.

Step 4: Everyone survives and is less traumatised but rich.

Honestly they’re both shit friends for not accompanying Bear to the hospital lol but that’s besides the point.

Why is internal audit seen as a bad career?

Just came across MPG’s post on hottest and coldest careers.

Curious on why internal audit is ranked as one of the least prospective careers. I always thought it was a good option compared to external audit.

What is Jo Nattawut’s style?

I’ve been watching some past ONE highlights for Jo Nattawut.

Why was he able to do so well against Tawanchai twice, but got finished by Superbon?

Never saw anyone break down his style before

My performance review was docked because I wasn’t involved in ‘extracurricular activities’. Is this normal?

I recently joined a new company, and I’m struggling to figure out whether this is just how some corporate cultures work or whether this is genuinely unhealthy.

The culture is very “positive” on the surface, but it feels like toxic positivity. If you’re not constantly praising every initiative, no matter how small, you’re quickly seen as being negative or not a team player. It feels like you’re expected to be enthusiastic about everything rather than give honest opinions.

The bigger issue came during my performance review. I met all of my work KPIs, but I was still marked down because of an unwritten expectation that everyone should actively participate in things like event management, volunteer activities, and other extracurricular initiatives.

The frustrating part is that none of these were part of my formal objectives. At the same time, our team is already stretched thin with our actual workload, so participating in these activities often means staying back after work or putting in extra hours just to keep up. I just wanna do good work, and then go home for the day.

Would you consider this a red flag, or is this just something I need to adapt to?

I’d appreciate hearing from people who’ve been through something similar, especially if you’ve found a way to handle it without burning yourself out.

Anyone ever just quit on the spot?

Going through it rn with an incompetent newly promoted boss. Wondering what would be the consequences if I ask for a team transfer or straight up quit?

I’ve been at this team for 5 years already and have worked well with other Managers.

Why does everyone feel more fake and performative nowadays?

Maybe I’m being a boomer, but when I was younger I remember people being more genuine, even if they were annoying af.

Why does everyone seem to be putting on a mask? Even at non-work settings

Why is a 9-6 no longer a true 9-6?

Seems like nowadays it’s an expectation to stay and work past contracted hours, and poor planning from bosses is somehow your fault.

Just a Monday morning rant lol
