CWAC, WRCNS, RCAFWD! All here to drink for you!

CWAC=Canadian Women's Army Corps?
WRCNS=Women's Royal Canadian Naval Service?
RCAFWD=Royal Canadian Air Force Women's Division?

Nay! Not this time around.

I'm embarrassed as a 'Burtan to say, I'm fairly sure Yank wine and booze never even left AB shelves... :/ Which is totally a Dani thing to do (or not do).

But I'm also proud to say, this red plate visits the Okanagan and only ever drinks BC wine here, there, everywhere.

I think it's the excitement only a free bear can feel, a free bear at the start of a long journey whose conclusion is uncertain. I hope I can make it across the border. I hope to see my friend and shake his paw. I hope Banff is as green as it has been in my dreams. I hope.

If she doesn't find you interesting, you could try being informative.

Do whatever you want with this information.

Although YMMV. Some of them may have floors that CAN collapse under the weight of a DIY Armoured Komatsu D355A. And make sure to engineer your way around a better cooling system!

None can defeat the man

Get it? There's no Undertaker behind AJ Styles Carney because he can't be defeated! lol .

I dunno. I had this chambered when the headline for that polling came out, but unloaded and put it back in the magazine. Here it is just 'cause.

Careful Mr. Prime Minister! Orange Man sees this, we'll get 10000000% higher Tariffs!

*Actually happened.

If you find the 47 minute CBC YT vid, it's at 7:52

TWO biographical movies about Canadian automotive legends coming out late this 2026? Yes!

previous use of format

Jay Baruchel's movie about Ken Carter.
And then, this Gilles Villeneuve biography?

2026 shaping up to be a great action packed year for gearhead films. haha.

Quick! Someone do a Walter Wolf movie!

"For CBC News in Brussels, I'm 'Robert Sterling' "

Or was it peter Franks? Hillary Bray? Arlington Beach perhaps?

Also... Holy shit! CBC don't fuck around no more... trading in their Shure SM58 for a Walther PPK.

I'm only excited for one superb and heroic movie about a Canadian who dared the odds.

The choice of Mark Critch is deliberate. I heard him during a CBC radio Interview (With Tom Power's Q? Maybe Elamin Abdelmahmoud's Commotion?) during the height of the Elbows Up campaign where he talked about how, on the one hand, he does feel good about all these American based celebrities speaking for Canada. But then, him being Mark Critch, had a few jabs about how at the same time, these celebs continue to live in the US, profit in the us, and contribute to 'Murican culture more than here [or something along those lines].

Millennial Village Square Patrons represent!!

Our pee molecules have likely intermingled and touched each other's skin, and that gives me a warm feeling.

The Calgary Stampede's Midway is in need of backup! A call for Carneys has been put out....

Thusly, Ottawa sent the Prime, numbah one, head honcho Carney.

Crisis averted. Western alienation fixed.

Jagged Little Pill was unstoppable! It was the soundtrack to my '95. To my '95 and my '96 actually.

Alanis is coming to Calgary, during the penultimate day of the Stampede!

Anyway, back in the Just for Laughs days during the height of Ironic, there was an Irish comedian who's main bit was analysing Ironic and listing off why none of it was in fact, ironic.

I subscribe to the thought that it is in fact, half ironic. I'm not the originator of this analysis, but it goes something like:

Man turned ninety eight, won lottery, dies next day = Ironic-ish. Basic premise of the lotto fantasy is to live happily ever after.

Death row pardon, two minutes two late = Pretty ironic, right?

Free ride after having paid = like the bad timing in death row pardon, somewhat ironic.

No smoking sign on cigarette break = In the pre-vaping days, this is ironic if the workplace still in fact calls it cigarette break. Just call it break break.

Things that are ok in the name of business: making deals with a genocidal state wiping out the Palestinians, making deals with another state that executes western employed journalists working internationally.

u/brokenringlands — 1 month ago

Yeah, don't lose your head making deals in that there place!

*actual words he said during the presscon in Saudi Arabia.

^(Although, there wasn't a pregnant pause, TBH. My ears just perked up when he said it. haha.)
