It's alright. Just don't open the back panel.
My budget build for about $550.
Reused a whole bunch of parts and bought a bunch of used stuff.

My budget build for about $550.
Reused a whole bunch of parts and bought a bunch of used stuff.
7600x - used $100
Asus ROG strix b650 - free (needed an rma)
Apacer ddr5 5200 32gb - $70 (seller thought it was faulty)
EVGA RTX 3080 TI ftw3 hybrid - $350 used
2tb NVME western digital black sn850x - free (pulled from scrap pile)
1tb NVME pulled from previous pc
Antec HCP-1200 psu ( pulled from my 15 year old PC in storage)
Water-cooling setup: Swiftec D5, XSPC RX360, Heatkiller 3.0, Bitspower fittings - All pulled form 15 year old build as well.
A bunch of fans from old builds of mine
And a Corsair 540 air case - free from scrap pile.
With various bits I needed like new tubing or some basic wires, im still under $600.
I can't be the only one that remains paranoid about leaks for days after assembling a new system, right?
I have paper towels under every connection.
As much as I don't like hose barbs and hose clamps, I never thought about them leaking. I'm a little more paranoid about compression fittings with o-rings.
I posted a couple weeks ago about a water cooling setup that I pulled out of my old computer from 2011.
Swift tech D5 pump.
Xspc RX 350 radiator.
Gentle typhoon fans.
Heat killer 3.0 with modified brackets for AM5.
So far, so good.
It's running in the low '80s high '70s in OCCT stress test.
I haven't played any games yet, but I assume it's going to be pretty dang low in temperature.
I'm currently running a 7600x that I got for $100 locally.
I'll probably end up throwing a 7800 x3d in at some point. But for now I'm happy.
All right everybody, I finally built myself a computer after waiting way too many years.
I stripped all the water cooling out of my old PC, leak tested and replaced all the o-rings.
I'm about to waterCool my am5 system with this stuff.
I'm cheap, so I'm reusing as much as I can.
XSPC RX360
Heatkiller 3.0 with am2+ brackets I will drill for AM5.
Gentle typhoon fans
And a swiftech D5 pump.
Could I have ordered more?
Yes.
Should I have ordered more?
Probably.
Did I order more?
No
But
I might later.
First, I need to get sodium toxicity.
I scored a free tc-p65st50 (2012 65") to replace my tc-p50s2 (50" 2008)
I'm going to have to do something custom for the wall mount, it uses a weird 684mmx300mm mounting pattern.
For now it can cover the fireplace. 👌
English muffin, back bacon, American cheese, fried egg (wet yolk), and Hollandaise sauce.
I'm fat so I made two.
For this?? Hell nah.
Very meh. I bet it would be better with olives on top.

Somehow the photos make it look bigger than it is.
We have some seriously hot day is coming up.
I'm in a new apartment, and I can't have a window mounted unit anymore.

For now this is my lazy dual hose setup.
There's no way it's worse than not having two hoses.
I have the cheapest 3S speed controller and brushless motor (hoby fans)
the cheapest metal 52 t 48p spur gear.
Cheap Metal differentials
And basically nothing else is upgraded.

I think I'm going to put a 6s capable speed controller in this, and run 4S batteries
I finally retired My 1080 TI for an EVGA 3080 TI ftw3 ultra gaming hybrid (more words means more better right?)
I'm going to be building a new system in the next couple of months. But for now, this old hpz820 is going to power me through.
This computer is far from ideal for gaming, but it's been my workhorse for the last 9 years or so. But I have absolutely no way to mount this radiator. In the meantime, I might cut A hole on the side of the case and run the tubes out.
And for anybody curious, this z820 is a dual CPU (E5-2690 - 8 cores each)
96 GB of DDR3 1600, with some ludicrously large power supply.
It does shockingly well in modern games still.
I just built somebody a computer using:
7800x 3D
Asus b650 strix
9070 XT
Corsair rm750
32 GB of Corsair? Ram.
He would randomly get shut downs.
Like somebody held the power button.
After a ton of diagnosing, I swapped my 1080 TI into his computer and sent him home with it and he had no issues.
I'm completely unable to run Forza horizon 5, Forza horizon 4, and Halo infinite using his 9070.
Other games play all right, but have weird graphical anomalies.
So I had him replace the ASRock 9070xt , with a gigabyte card.
Same issues.
So I had him test with the built-in graphics. Same shutdown issues.
I now have both computers, and I'm still unable to play Forza horizon without full crashes, blue screens etc.
My computer is an ancient HP z820 server that works great with my 1080TI
I also tested with a 3080 FTW3 in both computers with no issues.
The issues seem to follow the AMD graphics. Whether it's his built-in graphics, or the 9070. And that's in two different computers.
Am I going insane, or are these AMD drivers absolute shit? Has anybody experienced anything similar?
I'm about ready to tell him to return this and get a 5070.
TLDR: new build shits off using built in (7800x3d)graphics and the 9070XT. Works fine with Nvidia cards.
My old z820 works great with Nvidia cards and I cannot play certain games with a 9070XT.
