Question to the singles who bought property.

I’m planning to move back to Hyderabad from North America and most likely won’t be working after I move back.

I’m single, don’t have kids, and prefer living alone. So I don’t really care about being close to offices, schools, nightlife, etc. I’m mainly looking for a place that is quiet, secure, not insanely crowded, has decent water/air quality, and preferably has a good gym nearby.

A lot of the newer gated communities in Kokapet, Narsingi, Tellapur etc. look nice, but some have 1,000–3,000+ flats and feel way too crowded/family-oriented for me.

For singles in Hyderabad, especially people in their 30s/40s who live alone:

Any smaller gated communities you’d recommend that aren’t packed with thousands of families?
If you returned from the US/Canada, where did you eventually settle?

Would you sell a paid-off independent house and move to an apartment?

Have a paid-off 170 sq yard independent house in Chanda nagar, Ramachandrapuram.
I’m single, work remotely.
Reason I am thinking of selling is privacy.
It’s a proper family colony. Everyone knows everyone, neighbours notice who comes and goes, relatives nearby etc. As a single guy I sometimes feel an apartment in Kondapur/Madhapur/Gachibowli side or somewhere similar would give me more privacy.

But selling a paid-off independent house + land just to buy an apartment also feels stupid, especially long term.
Would you guys sell and move, or just keep the house?
Anyone here moved from an independent house to an apartment mainly for privacy/lifestyle? Did you regret it later?

Question for singles in their 30s/40s, do you have roommates? Curious about your experience

I’m planning to retire to Hyderabad from North America as a single person and had thought about renting my own apartment, but I later realized it’s not worth it since I plan to travel for 3–4 months out of an year.

since it’s not out of necessity but more of a convenience, maintaining a base and traveling when needed, instead of buying a house or renting an entire apartment, which has its own hassles too (paperwork, bachelors being restricted, etc.).

So I’m really curious, does anyone in their 30s/40s have roommates?

Anyone else just accepted they'll be single for life?

36m here. Haven’t really dated in years, mostly avoided it. Recently opened a dating app again and got a like from someone and when I checked her profile it was all clubs, concerts, partying. and I just sat there like... yeah this is never happening. we'd have nothing in common and also the whole wedding thing infront of lot of people, I couldn't do that even if I wanted to.
lately the growing old alone part has been sitting in my head and I don't have an answer for it.

anyone here actually single for life? what's your plan for getting old?

Looking for a guitar coach for improv, phrasing, and solo building

I’m looking for a guitar t u t o r who can help me with lead guitar, improvisation, phrasing, and melodic shred style playing.

I want to be able to improvise over songs/backing tracks and create my own lead lines that actually sound musical.

My current level:
I can play basic chords and barre chords
I know some pentatonic shapes
I can play parts of songs like Hotel California, but my soloing is not where I want it to be
When I practice alone I get lost and end up not practicing consistently

I’m mainly looking for someone who can teach:

How to improvise, phrasing, bends, vibrato, timing
Connecting pentatonic/scale shapes across the neck
Building solos instead of just playing random notes
Adding speed/shred in a musical way

Any recommendations for tutors?

Anyone here single for life?

I am 36, single, never married, no relationship. I have social anxiety and childhood emotional neglect stuff. I don’t think I can handle marriage or family life. I don’t even know how to console someone or deal with emotional situations properly.

I also avoid crowds, functions, marriages, restaurants when too many people are there, events etc. So it’s not like I am some social person who can just go out and build a life.

Are there people here who are single long term and living alone? How do you manage life? What do you do with your time? How do you deal with loneliness, boredom, aging, no family structure, no partner, no kids?

Not looking for just go out and meet people advice. I am asking what realistic life looks like when the normal path doesn’t fit you.
