I've been volunteer teaching 7th graders for a year now and my appreciation for school teachers has done nothing but grow exponentially. If you come across a great teacher in your adult life or came across one when you were a kid, just understand that these people are literally some of the most patient, understanding, kind and resilient people you will meet ever. More than most jobholders you will meet in your life.
Kids, I'm not going to lie, are brats. It's not even their fault. They're kids being forced to do boring work. The work time schedule is so fucked up, there's so much after hours work. Planning your lessons is such boring work, marking as well. It is also incredibly demotivating when you see the kids not really be positively affected by anything you're doing, especially because of factors outside your control. Let's be honest, most good students come from educated families who actively support in their learning journey and are accompanied by a healthy and loving family back home. Kids aren't like a coworker who you can reason with, and there's nobody to go complain to. Most families are very nonchalant about their children's growth, and just expect school to do everything for them. Pay for me hasn't been an issue since I'm volunteering, but if I was getting paid a shite wage for this shit, I would've lost my marbles such a long time ago. If I had to pay for stuff like stationary out of my own pocket on top, I don't even want to think about how mad I would've been.
It's also very human to exert some of your anger off your job onto somebody, whether through neglect or fights. So when you see a teacher not caring about their students, or even shouting at them, it's so understandable in most cases. We put them in such frustrating positions and expect so much out of them. The real issue is these kids grow up in families who should be the primary care in their education, or least they should create and instill the optimal mindset that these kids should be coming to school with. My own family did that for me, I'm honestly privileged to say I grew up in a family like that, and now that I'm teaching these kids, it pisses me off so much being expected by society to be only person driving their educative journeys and better their futures. It's simply not possible. I finish in a few weeks and I can't wait. I only spend time for like 6 hours a week, teaching plus preparing. Imagine doing this full time. Like for fuck's sake.
I might be speaking out of my ass, please don't downvote me to oblivion, but how much of it say is a label issue he had no control over and if he was to come out and tell his about it, his label could sue for defamation or something like that? Which could be the reason why he never like tried telling us.
Again, I have no idea in any of this but maybe if he was to fulfill the remaining orders, it'd mean paying out of his own pocket since the money might've gone to the labels who are the real culprits. Is he really that big a scammer?
Like dude, the game is great, i started playing today but the player career mode has no infinite money. Only the team career mode. This is such a niche issue but ts bugging me tf out. Can someone please do something about this? Sad.

I have this happen with me a lot for music. Michael Jackson + Drake for pedophilia, a bunch of artists like Playboi Carti or Xxxtentacion for domestic abuse and so many more. Not only can I separate art from the artist in a contextual sense because what Drake makes is a byproduct of the person he is, his tastes, his interests and his vices by which i mean his pedophilic tendencies.
Also, the more say I listen to Michael Jackson's music, the more I keep on supporting him and his estate, legitimizing his pedophilic behavior. The same for carti and xxx, we legitimize and push under the carpet their domestic abuse past by streaming their music. We also normalize these crimes the more we stream these artists, I feel like.
I post it here because I hear the argument of separating art from the artist a lot and I just can't look past these points of mine. How would you justify it? I am open to changing my mind, of course. A guilty part of me kind of wants to because I like some of their music, the above artists I have mentioned.

I was a straight A student starting out, 4.0. Now in my third year and I've no idea why I keep trying. My grades have fallen. Like, I still love programming but I have no clue on what to make. I don't just want to build some stupid fucking website or some software, I want to make purposeful things. Things that bring a bit more positivity into this world, things that truly help other people. Also things I want to be making but I've no idea what that is.
I know this is a stupid perspective to have in such a competitive job market, that I need something to drive my passion, like surviving isn't good enough. But I really do have no idea what I can work on, like I don't just wanna be some kind of a programmer. I want to make things I want to make. Idk what that is yet but I like music, I like games, I like bringing better education and opportunities to people who can't afford it. I want to make things like that, things that help people in some way. I need to find something I care about making on which I can use my programming skills. At this point, I have no clue what that is.
People who have been in my position, please, please help me. Give me some sort of guidance. I don't even care about the job anymore, I just want to understand what I want to make. Hopefully, a career will come out through that, or at least I hope it will. Thank you.
Firstly, it's not that big a trend. I absolutely get that. But it is a growing pattern.
Secondly, its not like all Western-Southeast Asian relationships have some kind of a wealth dynamic to it, some of these people are just genuinely in love and I'm not talking about them.
To start, I am a "shyguy" myself. I have trouble getting romantically involved with women as well. I say this because I have an easier time understanding where these men are coming from. That being said, a lot these men, who have trouble talking to western women, are going to southeast asia and these women from lower economic classes within their country, who would like any chance to make their life better, are seeing these romantically desperate men and giving them attention that they might have never received before. And these gullible loner men are getting female attention at this scale for the first time in probably a long time, they are being easily swayed. They don't or either don't want to understand that these women don't necessarily care about the people they are, but the western level of wealth these men carry with them and these women would like to secure a great financial future for them and their families back home. I mean, I'm from the third world myself, to get an opportunity like this to just move to a first world country and be financially loaded like this at least relative to the world, it must be a dream come true for anyone that financially desperate. Especially considering marrying these desperate men means they get to send western cash back to their southeast asian families and get their lives better as well.
All I want to say is that this just looks incredibly sad and miserable to the rest of the world. Like in no way are these men anywhere considered healthy or not embarrassing, ofc you shouldn't judge a group by the actions of few but honestly, this is bringing the west's reputation down as well. Brah honestly, like this shit is so sad like chud behavior. Also the bigger issue, as I mentioned in the title, is that these men just cannot connect well with western women. Of course, by the way, western women should never change, female autonomy is absolutely essential and they shouldn't change just because some men feel like they can't approach them. But we have to ask, what is driving this big seperation between the malesphere and the femalesphere to the point where a guy might feel scared to go up to a girl? Like how are these worlds getting so detached from each other? And is this is a good thing, is there a way to still bridge between both worlds so that more men can feel more connected with female hobbies or spheres and vice versa for women? But again, female autonomy is of the absolute essence and cannot be squandered. I repeat it because there are guys out there who genuinely think its the women's fault that they should be the ones to change.
Lastly, I would just like to say that this problem is kind of happening everywhere. That's why I feel like I get these men. It's just that they are on a global level, wealthy enough due to their nationality to be able to attract desperate poor women from other parts of the world to overlook the romantic and interconnecting aspects of a relationship and be more lenient towards these men. I kinda don't want to call them gold diggers, but they are, but it wouldn't be fair to not mention that these women are that poor or middle class, like third world middle class at best and that kind of money would change their lives and their bloodline's. So you have to get where they're coming from as well. Still, so sad and a haphazard solution that isn't addressing the real problem underneath.
I've dumped both my copies in these different formats, cough cough, and I've seen that one runs way better than the other. I mean, you don't notice it when you're playing at the regular 25 fps speed but when I unlock the framerate, the USA WBFS gives me much more fps and makes the game faster overall. Why is that? Should I only dump the US versions of all games from now on, cough cough? Sorry guys, sore throat.
I've been very socially awkward throughout my life, now in my early 20s and practically, I have no friends. I feel like I'm ready to go out and meet new people in Dhaka to socialize with, start some friendships to get myself out of this isolation. Almost in my 4th year if college and I've royally fucked up engaging with my classmates, just being anxious has caused me to not find a friend group in college and I fear it's too late. Where else can I find people to meet who'd possibly be interested in forming new friendships? Thank you!
After going into a few shops, plugging it in, somehow the internal file structure of the pendrive got completely rearranged and I had to go through these randomly generated folders to find the print files back again. On top of that, I came back, plugged it into my PC, it's been a week and my computer's been slowing down like crazy. I had to completely re-install windows. Last but not least, the pendrive doesn't work as good anymore. I presume maybe like a voltage spike that caused some damage. But yeah, like it should be obvious but I was an idiot. 32 gigs of storage gone and who knows what private data stolen.
If you got data on a phone, much better to just send the files to each shop or better yet, store the files in a cloud storage folder and share the link if you want to use less data.
I don't want to go download steam or some other platform. Just fun games you've come across on the GNOME software center. Anything you like, please throw them at me!
Just a system wide auto-correct that corrects by itself, not just show suggestions. On Fedora workstation 44. Would be great it it also had a shortcut to switch it on/off whenever needed. Thank you!!
I have trouble continuing conversations after initiating them and it is having a very negative effect on my ability to socialize. I would like to learn how other people have conversations so that I can pick up on some of the cues or just general directions. Thank you.
