taylor farms lettuce delivery made it into our walk in yesterday. first time since the cyclospora pestilence of summer 2026. where is the line of food safety and my brain? taylor farms equals boars head now in my mind. i also dont feel there was any resolution, outside of "dont pay attention to the man behind the curtain." how do we cook in Guilded Era 2.0?

my partner and i have moved in with her aging parents, one with dementia. we are at the finances stage of wrapping our head around all this. we are in purcell, so norman is our best resource location. we will set an appt with our bank's advisor, but there are credit card notices coming in for forgotten about accounts, for example. we need to settle debts, but also legal help. what life and learned knowledge we have is not on the legal/financial consolidation side of life. any suggestions or offerings, experiences, anything at all, i appreciate

being that forever chemicals are man-made, should there not be an ability to man-make a chemical that breaks the carbon chains? or instead of breaking down, transform (like a conservation of energy kind of thing where tweaking something changes the energy of...something(s)?

this will be about all the stingers, but partner and i have moved in with the in laws for caretaking the last years. mil has a beautiful backyard with gardens galore and all the beautiful stingers and more who eat from this buffet. she also has what i would describe as an emporium of pestiherbifucknaturecides. ive made great progress in reducing chemicals, but this buffet is bountiful. right now a mud dauber (i am guessing. not a wasp, not a yellow jacket, they are a plenty, but a black brown stinger building a mud adobe by the patio door. i will knock this down when it is empty, but is there a nature friendly way i can manage the stingers away from our perimeter treated areas? if she sees, she will spray. im in oklahoma and it is wind season. maybe i havent made progress with her usage, i just keep heading off her efforts. there is nothing flowery on the patio, just shade and a window unit. she wont mess with them in the yard. these are our boundaries. drift issue is very very serious

this shouldnt be a 10th dentist opinion/action. nevertheless, taking your eyes off the road is insane. you lose your lane integrity, you decrease your speed, you are not aware of obstscles and obstacle drivers around you. you are now an obstacle on the road. you think it doesnt affect your driving, but it does. it is unsafe. why the fuuuuuck is eye contact while doing another task a thing? you are no different than a person scrolling insta while driving. exact same behaviors exhibited.

most restaurants are open, if not all. i cant speak for any of the others, but cheddars is open. we didnt lose power. i just popped off a bunch of batch scratch cooking to feed yall. the cleveland county health department is busy assuring your community restaurants are in compliance. if you have any concerns over food safety, just keep a good mental note, or log of times you ate and where, so you can accurately report to the health department. we are locked and loaded, ready to feed yall. if you order something and it is not right, i promise we want to know in the kitchen. it matters to us to make it right, to make it good, and to make you satisfied.

for those who have perishable concerns for target (our neighbor in parking lot) i watched them fill a giant roll off dumpster yesterday and getting to work was fighting through a thickness of semi's replenishing.

there is nothing more convenient about dropping a pod in the soap trap vs pouring a powder into the same trap. the pods leave a residue in the washer, an unecessary chemical fragrance on the dishes, and worst of all, it completely gunks up your dishwashers filter (clean your filter if you havent ever done it, especially if you are a pod user. there should be an opaque film over the screens if not the entire filter housing, along with food bits)

with powder detergent, i can fill the trap and drop an oopsie amount outside the trap for the pre wash. who wants to clean their dishes before cleaning their dishes? i stopped having to pre wash my dishes when i switched to powder. pro tip is priming your hot water first before running so your prewash is hot. fuck gel detegents and above all else, fuck them pods. great value dish detergeny is $5, lasts longer than the pod packs you can afford to buy and doesnt harm your appliance with gunky residue and build up. if that film was on your filter, what does it look like further into your plumbing for the gunk that did pass thru.

i recently had to put down my best friend/cat. my backyard is full of mushrooms and i try to care for nature as it prefers. i picked a couple of the fruiting bodies to take with her, hoping the spores and mycelium will transform her in my hummingbird garden. she has been memorialized on top with sunflower seeds. there were many earthworms and other inverts i put back in where i dug them.

i didnt realize i shouldnt have wrapped her bc of the chemicals in her body. will the mushrooms help? have i poisoned the earth? do i need to collect spores for remediation? i just wanted to see her again and i wasnt thinking clearly at that time.
