The Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB), through its Hearing and Adjudication Committee, convened a hearing with the representatives and legal counsels of “It’s Showtime,” ABS-CBN Corporation, GMA Network Inc., Zoe Broadcasting Network, Inc., and ALLTV regarding issues arising from the noontime show’s July 24, 2026 episode.

During the hearing, the parties were given the opportunity to present their respective explanations as part of due process. The Board likewise reiterated its mandate under Presidential Decree No. 1986 and its Implementing Rules and Regulations (IRR) to ensure that television programming remains compliant with established broadcast standards.

The Committee directed the respondents to file a verified Joint Position Paper within seven (7) calendar days and submit a Joint Undertaking outlining concrete measures to strengthen compliance with MTRCB standards, particularly in relation to live, improvised, and comedy segments. The respondents were likewise instructed to designate an On-Air Compliance Officer authorized to monitor live broadcasts and immediately intervene, when necessary, to help prevent potential violations of MTRCB rules and regulations.
