Hey all. I have an old CD player with a dinky set of built-in stereo speakers. There's a port at the bottom of the player that lets you plug in aux cables, but it's only for playing music out the dinky built-in speakers from a different device. I would like to plug in a good set of speakers into this and get the full quality from my discs.

I've done some research, and people have said it's impossible. Though, is it impossible because of the aux in port processing chips, or just the aux in port itself? I know how to solder and could easily hook up an aux out port if possible.

The stock red color is ugly in my opinion. Wondering if there's any way to get the sock in different colors, including DIY if need be. Thanks in advance
