what should i put here?

hey all, i'm a broke highschooler building an arcade out of some spare pieces of tech i have lying around. this is my mockup for how it will look when i'm finished. theoretically, everything (monitor, speakers, buttons, joysticks, mini pc, keyboard & mouse drawer) should be able to fit in the bartop arrangement shown, making the bottom part of the cabinet pretty much useless. is there anything that can go here? must be at least 3 feet tall.

Today I beat Star Fox 64 for the first time!

my dad got me an n64 for my birthday, this is the first game i've bought for myself for the system. it's really great for its time, so many different paths and unique voices. and today i beat it! the last half was way easier than i expected, but still lots of fun.

CD visualization on my TV?

Hey all. I recently got a DVD player for my TV and mainly play my CDs through it as well. Today I was watching some of those old audio visualizers on my PC and had the brilliant idea to do that with my TV. Is this possible? I own a flash drive, and my TV is newer so it has USB. The player connects via HDMI.

why does youtube give nsfw suggestions when it cant find what you're searching for?

i feel like half the time i search for a completely normal thing, after a bit of scrolling there's either some stupid gooner animation or something that alludes to gore/violence. why is this?

Bluetooth Keyboard Compatibility?

Apologies for the simple nature of this question. The other day, while at my local Goodwill, I found a nice looking cheap wireless keyboard and purchased it. I didn't look at the packaging, and it turns out the keyboard was part of a combo set with a mouse. There was no mouse in the package. Now, I wouldn't care about this since I have many spare mice, but the problem is that the mouse stored the USB receiver inside of it. This receiver takes the input of both the keyboard and mouse, meaning without it, I've got a big pretty paperweight.

BUT! I recently looked on eBay and found the mouse from the combo set being sold as a single item! If I purchase the mouse, would the receiver in it "know" its compatible keyboard is nearby? OR, is every receiver "calibrated" to each keyboard it's put with in a combo set? Again, sorry if this is a stupid or confusing question. I just want to use my keyboard.

looking to purchase boyhood cassette

i like this album (and liam's work in general) too much to bootleg it. i only found 2 listings for it on cassette, one being far too expensive since it was "rare out of 20, first run" and the other not shipping to the US where i live.

if anyone knows a different way to get this album or would like to sell me their copy, i'm open.

i hate guitar "relic'ing"

i find it comical that these companies sell these guitars at such absurd prices because they're confident in how close they've gotten to making the guitar look authentically terrible. but it's not authentic. what is the point, even? to make people think you're careless with your instruments? shit looks like mold. and you just know the people that are buying these probably don't even play them, considering they were too lazy to wear out a normal guitar in the first place.

My first ever guitar build!

Began back in January. Taught tons about wiring and guitar building in general, would love to work on another kit like this.

Audio In - Audio Out conversion? Is it possible?

Hey all. I have an old CD player with a dinky set of built-in stereo speakers. There's a port at the bottom of the player that lets you plug in aux cables, but it's only for playing music out the dinky built-in speakers from a different device. I would like to plug in a good set of speakers into this and get the full quality from my discs.

I've done some research, and people have said it's impossible. Though, is it impossible because of the aux in port processing chips, or just the aux in port itself? I know how to solder and could easily hook up an aux out port if possible.

The stock red color is ugly in my opinion. Wondering if there's any way to get the sock in different colors, including DIY if need be. Thanks in advance
