It finally happened to me

Now I’m not here to shame anybody because believe me I am also not the smallest. But just had a flight on a Dash 8 sitting next to a gentlemen that was quite large and occupied half my seat (aisle).

There was obviously some serious signs of discomfort from both of us before the cabin door was closed and the flight attendants just turn a blind eye to me sitting half out on the aisle, even bumping me when the inflight snacks where being handed out and not offer another seat which there was plenty to choose from.

Yes I could have asked to move but how do I go about it without causing a scene or any embarrassment or discomfort for any other passengers?

Once again I am not shaming this gentleman. I just want to know how to handle it without too much issue.

Poor performance in BF6?

https://preview.redd.it/31j70rrqky9h1.png?width=731&format=png&auto=webp&s=a4b3d5a22a1313dc3cb69b4b9ddbe51fc95af687

*Please ignore the NVIDIA on screen display*

PC Specs: 9950X3D2, 7900XTX, (5080), 64GB ram (2 sticks), 1200W PSU, ASUS ROG X870E Hero PCIE LANES ARE BIFURICATED FOR DUEL GPU X8 speeds and my resolution is 4K 144hz.

I upgraded my CPU from 7800X3D to 9950X3D2, updatded BIOS and chipset, did a fresh install of windows 11 and got Adrenline drivers (26.6.2) and something weird is going on. The above screen shot is just one example of BF6 (left) and MSFS 2024 (right). What is strange is the power, core clock and utilisation in BF6.

Another strange thing is I can do 3D mark Steel nomad and Timespy Extreme and both have no issue with getting respectable and normal scores with the correct GPU/CPU usages. But when I do a stress test in adrenlin it almost instantly crashes the program, i open it again and it tells me it failed (duh).

I am at my wits end on this, its not the end of the world becuase I can use the 5080 to render the game and it just works normally but this is bothering me.... It wasnt an issue until i performed the CPU upgrade and windows and bios etc.

Lock screen and island not working?

These screen shots are whilst I’m listening to Spotify on my iPhone 16 pro. For some reason Spotify has stopped showing up on the lock screen and island. Ignore the Spotify app widget. I thought that would fix it. I’m talking about the window/widget that lets you change songs without unlocking your phone.

I haven’t changed any settings and it’s just disappeared. Phone is running latest iOS and Spotify

1000w for 5080 and 7900xtx

Got a great deal on a 5080 and I am going replace my 5060ti and use it as my render gpu. I’ll keep the 7900xtx for lossless and other tasks. I’m just questioning my PSU is 1000w. I haven’t had a close look at it to see if it even has enough pcie plugs. I am happy to upgrade my psu if needed. Just looking for further opinions

Any sims/games with this style of racing?

If the link doesn’t work it’s basically a figure 8 circuit racing beat up old buses and cars and caravans and the last man standing wins.

Not looking to use BOTH GPUs whilst streaming.

My set up

5800X3D

7900XT (render)

5060TI 16GB (display/lossless)

64GB ram

Pc runs great at 4K and uses both cards without an issue. PCIE lanes are x8 bifurcated through CPU lanes but when I want to stream to my red magic Astra the controls feel heavy. What’s a decent decoding time for 120hz?
