[Offline] [DND] [5e] [5.5e] [2024] [2014] Hosting a homemade campaign in Mechanicsville, Southern Maryland. Looking for people around my age to play.

Far off the Sword Coast lies the Moonshae Isles. A place where the Sea of Swords gave into the Trackless Sea, and the Isles themselves have a deep connection to Feywild, the place where fey came to be, and where the first elves arrived in Faerun. The two factions, the Ffolk and the Northlanders, have been bitter enemies for centuries, but were eventually united under one banner, known as the United Moonshae Isles from the capital city of Caer Callidyrr on Alaron. By late 15th century DR, House Kendrick was the dominant ruler over the Moonshaes, but had lost many of its footing over the rest of the isles. To the southeast, lies the isle of Snowdown, controlled by the vampire Lady Erliza Daressin, loyal only to Amn. To the south, is the Isle of Gwynneth, controlled by the kingdom of Sarifal, ruled by High Lady Ordalf, an archfey. In the centre, the Oman’s Isle has come under the control of a tribe of Fomorians who crossed from Feywild into the Moonshaes, ruled by Queen Connomae. And to the west, the Isle of Moray, ruled under the de facto control of the Black Blood tribe, a group of Malarite Lycanthropes. Our journey however, starts on Alaron, in the capital city of Caer Callidyrr, ruled by House Kendrick. Invitations have been sent to adventures around all lands of Faerun. They must come to the capital in hopes for them to be picked to be for a team of 5, The Hearthunters, in hopes of helping the ruler, Monothrum Kendrick. Their task? Hunt down the Feyheart, a magical artifact that can grant 6 wishes, but never one to the same living being twice. Upon their return, each member will be granted 1 singular wish, along with the fame and glory of helping the House of Kendrick return their land to its former glory. They however won’t be the only ones looking. Each region of the isles has also received word of the Feyheart, with each of them looking for it themselves. With tensions high, and stakes even higher, and rewards beyond your wildest dreams, welcome adventures, to the Hunt for the Feywild Heart.

Anyone looking to join a DND campaign? Hosting in Mechanicsville, age range 18-22

Im looking for 5 adventures, new or experienced, who would like to participate in a homemade campaign I have been working on. Miniatures and dice can be provided, as well as snacks! Here is a small summery of what the campaign will be about: Far off the Sword Coast lies the Moonshae Isles. Are infect/poison decks really that bad to go against? (EDH)

I am a bit newer to MTG and I recently had a game at my LGS where I used my infect/poison deck in the pod. We were all running bracket 4 decks and I did as if everyone was okay with me using a poison deck and they said yes. I was able to win the game (not even with my poison counters) and one of the people I was playing with who was using an Ur Dragon deck started throwing a huge tantrum, complaining about how poison counters are so unfair and how they should remove or remake the mechanic. At the end of the game the person who had the most poison counters was 6, while the other two had 3 and 2. Even with Atraxa out, I sometimes wouldn’t be able to proliferate as she was off the board before my end step. Is this mechanic REALLY that annoying? Or is it just something people have huge grudges on that they can never let go?

Advice on buying the festival in a box 2026

I’m really looking forward to the new box but I’ve never done an order through secret lair before. How does it work and what are my chances of acting being able to get the box before they sell out?

PSA: Please stop trying to LF raid bosses

This is a PSA to everyone who keeps trying to LF a raid boss or a hyperdimensional CO-OP boss. Please stop. I am trying to get my rewards quick and easy. Once their shield is down, rising rush with me. Don’t fail it. Don’t whittle their health down bit by bit so you can LF them and I have to watch a 30 second cutscene. It’s as simple as getting his shield down and double rushing him. If you want to try out an LF PLEASE do it anywhere else.

Was I playing sigma wrong?

Recently I had a comp game on Dorado. The entire game a mercy pocketed soldier basically ran the whole lobby. I asked my DPS multiple times to swap to a dive to be able to put some pressure on him (they were basically bastion and soj all match) but they said it’s my job and I have to keep my shield on him. Mind you I also had to deal with a Mauga the entire time as well. Was he right that I’m playing sig wrong?

New Necron player, curious on how the army works

Hello all!

I am a Blood Angels player and I have been in the hobby for a good 3 years now. I’ve played mainly 1K and 2K point games with them as they are my favorite in lore, however Necrons are a close second and they are my favor Xenos faction. My girlfriend and I just had our anniversary and she got me a Lokhust Heavy Destoryer and a Hexmark Destroyer so I decided to make another army that being Necrons! I am used to having a melee heavy army so how do Necrons work? Are they mainly ranged or a mix of melee and range? And what models look the coolest and have cool rules? (I mainly go for rule of cool over meta) Any advice is welcome!

Hour cuts should I be worried?

I’m 19 and a college student and I’ve been working mainly Friday-Sunday only all 9 hour shifts. Recently they have cut my hours down to only two 9 hours and a 7 hour shift each weekend, and the week of the 20th I have a family thing going on, but they haven’t scheduled me for the 21st or the 26th at all. Should I be worried and let my ASM know? Or is it common and nothing to worry about?

I think I’m addicted to my girlfriend

I am being as serious as I can be when I say that I think I am addicted to my girlfriend. Throughout my whole day if I’m at work or just relaxing at home I’m always thinking “I wish my girlfriend was here” and stuff along those lines. Sometimes I’ll randomly think about us doing sexual things and I get extremely horny because of it. When I see her in person I just get stuck staring at her face and completely forget the world around me. Hugs, kisses, even her hand on my thigh is enough to give me butterflies in my stomach and an extreme boner. She has this face she does where she will wink at me and stick her tongue out and it makes me want to conquer a small nation for her. Is this normal or am I addicted to her?

EDIT: I wanted to give some more context to mine and my girlfriend’s relationship as I didn’t much in the original post. We have been together for 2 years I’m 24 she’s 23. She has been with me through dead end jobs and my college career. She has gotten into my (very expensive) hobbies like MTG, Warhammer and DND just to be able to play with me. She has watched every single piece of Star Wars media in order to be able to talk about the lore with me. She has helped me with my disability (I have had a deformed pointer finger since birth). We have never had breaks, break ups, huge arguments, no hitting or abuse, no silent treatment from either one of us. I have learned to crochet for our anniversary and how to draw so I could draw our dnd characters together. No matter what we do we always do it together in some way or another

Calling out a day before?

Currently I’m at work right now and I don’t feel good at all, my shift is almost over so I don’t wanna ask to go home early. I want to call out tomorrow but I open at 5:30 in the morning, how would I call out? Can I call the store a bit after I leave and say I’m calling out tomorrow or should I call at 3am and let them know?
