4 actual things worth doing in the next 72 hours before the Sun-Uranus conjunction at 1°30' Gemini peaks

The Sun conjuncts Uranus at 1°30' Gemini on May 22. That is 48 hours from now. Before that peak hits and the energy gets louder and harder to direct, there is a usable window tonight and tomorrow where the Gemini frequency is sharpest and clearest. Here are four specific things worth doing before that conjunction is exact.

1. Have the conversation you have been editing.

Gemini and Uranus together create the most favorable conditions for communication that has been sitting in draft. Not because the timing is mystically perfect but because your mind is moving faster right now, the usual social friction feels lower, and what felt hard to say last week will feel more accessible in the next 48 hours. Send the message. Start the conversation. Say the thing you have been circling. Do not wait for the energy to clarify further. It is already clear enough.

2. Make the decision that has been waiting on more information.

Sun-Uranus conjunctions do not reward analysis paralysis. The information you have now is the information you are going to have. What Uranus does is accelerate whatever is already in motion, which means decisions that feel unresolved right now will not get more comfortable after May 22. They will get louder. Stake your position before the noise peaks. The clarity available in this pre-conjunction window is real and worth using.

3. Name what you want this 7-year Uranus cycle to build.

Uranus in Gemini runs through 2032. The Sun lighting up the conjunction point now is the first major invitation to consciously engage with that cycle. This is not about manifesting in the generic sense. It is about naming a direction clearly enough that the next 7 years of disruption and reconstruction have somewhere to aim. Write it down. One sentence. What is the thing you want to be fundamentally different about your communication, your thinking, or your connection to the world by 2032?

4. Do one physical, tangible thing to anchor what you are starting mentally.

Mars is in Taurus right now, and it is the steadying counterweight to all of this Gemini mental acceleration. Taurus rules the body, the physical world, the material. The risk of a Gemini-Uranus peak is that brilliant ideas stay in the head. Mars in Taurus asks you to make one thing real before the conjunction. Buy the domain. Write the outline on paper. Have the conversation in person instead of over text. Send the proposal. Make something exist in the physical world that right now only exists in your mind.

The window before a conjunction is the planning window. After May 22, the energy shifts into integration. Use the next 48 hours to plant, not just to think about planting.

If all four actions feel loud, look at your energy calendar first. It can show whether today is built for saying the thing, writing it down, or waiting until the signal steadies.

Have you felt the Gemini energy? My mind got blown up this morning, not sure what would happen this evening.

The Taurus New Moon Just Started a 6-Month Cycle. Here's Your Sign's Energy

The Taurus new moon just opened a 6-month cycle that runs through the Taurus full moon in October. Here's the energy each sign is working with between now and then.

Aries: You've been running on adrenaline for months. The next six months ask you to build something that doesn't require constant output to stay alive.

Taurus: This is your reset. Everything that felt unstable gets examined. You'll find yourself making quieter decisions that end up being the most significant ones you've made in years.

Gemini: Mercury just moved into your sign today. You're entering a period where your words carry more weight than usual. Say what you actually mean.

Cancer: The next six months are about your private world. What you build behind the scenes, how you rest, what you're doing when no one is watching.

Leo: Your social circle is changing. Some connections will naturally fall away and new ones will arrive that feel more aligned with who you're becoming.

Virgo: Career is the main theme. Not hustle, but direction. The question isn't how to work harder, it's whether you're working toward the right thing.

Libra: You're expanding. Something you've been afraid of trying is going to feel suddenly more possible. The six months ahead reward curiosity.

Scorpio: Shared resources, intimacy, what you owe and what you owe. A slow but complete reorganization of your closest bonds.

Sagittarius: Relationships. The people you choose to keep close with will say a lot about who you're becoming. Quality over comfort.

Capricorn: Your body and daily life are asking for restructuring. Not a dramatic overhaul, just a slower, more honest relationship with how you actually spend your time.

Aquarius: Creativity and self-expression. If you've been suppressing something, it's going to want out. Let it.

Pisces: Home, roots, family, foundation. Something in your private life needs tending. The next six months reward the person who finally deals with it.

Your energy doesn't move in a flat line and neither does your year. Timing shows you your personal energy curve across these six months, so you know which weeks are for building and which are for waiting.

What's your sign and what's the one area of life you most want to shift before October?

I want to be left alone, but I also want someone to notice I’m gone

We want total isolation with no plans, but we also want someone to psychically know we're MIA and text a low-pressure "thinking of you." It’s completely unrealistic to expect mind reading, but the craving is stubborn. We spend the whole day ghosting people, then check our phones every hour just to see if someone noticed. It’s an annoying, self-aware contradiction. Anyone else playing this exact mental game today?

Is emotional detachment supposed to come with this much mental noise?

Our feelings are completely offline, but our minds are overclocked at 2 AM solving theoretical global crises. We've taken in so much data and social noise that our nervous system just routed everything to cold logic. It’s a classic defensive setting, but spectating our own lives from a distance is getting ridiculous. Let's close the tabs and do one boring, physical chore today to anchor back to reality. Who else is operating as just a giant brain in a jar right now?

Why your kitchen counter matters more than your manifestation journal tomorrow.

Tomorrow is the Taurus New Moon . Your environment matters more than your manifestation journal. Here is the breakdown.

Clean these 4 spaces before the 2 PM to 6 PM peak window tomorrow.

  • Bedroom. Strip the bed. Wash the sheets. This is where your nervous system recovers. If your bed feels heavy or stale, your sleep quality drops, and your recovery phase gets interrupted.
  • Kitchen. Clear the counter. Wash the dishes that have been sitting there. Taurus rules nourishment. If your kitchen feels chaotic, your relationship with food and comfort is probably chaotic too. Clean it and notice if you eat differently tomorrow.
  • Workspace. Remove three things you do not use. Your workspace holds the energy of every unfinished task you have started at. .
  • Bathroom. Scrub it. The bathroom is where you release. A clean bathroom signals to your body that release is safe and complete.

Avoid this 1 space: your phone. During the 2 PM to 6 PM window, social media is other people's energy entering your reset. Mute notifications. The quality of your reset depends on the quality of your attention.

Slow transits like this act like the external 'weather' we're all walking through, but it’s hard to actually feel the shift until you change your immediate physical reality. That’s why grounding rituals are so much more effective right now than just writing in a journal.

If you need more practical ways to map your rhythm to this window, I put together a full step-by-step guide and energy tracker on the Timing website.

Be honest with me in the comments, which room are you dreading cleaning the most? For me, it's 100% the kitchen.

What to eat before, during, and after tomorrow's taurus new moon peak window

You can journal all you want, but if you eat like garbage during the taurus new moon, your inner energy will not cooperate.

Before the peak (12 PM to 2 PM): Eat something warm and grounding. For example, root vegetable soup, or some brown rice with roasted vegetables. oatmeal with honey. This is your fuel for the low energy phase that hits right before Taurus new moon peak.

During the peak (2 PM to 6 PM): Sip herbal tea. Warm water with lemon. A piece of dark chocolate if you need something solid. Your body is processing the reset. Digestion takes energy away from that process. Keep it minimal.

After the peak (6 PM onward): Nourish deeply. A meal that feels like a hug. Something you genuinely enjoy eating. Share it with someone if you can. Taurus rules pleasure.

I think people underestimate how physical these transits actually are. Sometimes the reset starts in the body first.

What is your new moon comfort meal?

Anyone else suddenly seeing their home way too clearly today?

Today, Mercury is conjunct the Sun in Taurus, right in Aquarius’s 4th house, the area that governs “home” and “foundations.” I actually managed to have a rare phone call with my mom today, and surprisingly, we didn’t argue or talk past each other. It was purely like two rational adults troubleshooting a living situation. The efficiency of that conversation was truly touching.

After hanging up, I scanned the room and suddenly realized with a sense of clarity: half the furniture here needs to go. It was a clear, sober assessment. These things no longer serve the person I am today. Though I don’t plan to move out today, this sense of clarity from “decluttering” feels truly refreshing.

Do any of you feel this way? While this energy is still flowing, why not take a moment to make a list and see which old items in your home are draining your mental bandwidth? What signals is your home sending you today?

Why do I suddenly want to disappear today?

Our ruling planet, Mercury, has gone Cazimi and it’s happening right in Taurus, which corresponds to the depths of our subconscious in the 12th house. I thought we’d be buzzing with energy, but instead, I just want to block the whole world.

I canceled all my plans and locked myself in my room to write in my journal. My mind is racing, but it’s all inward-focused. Those “trivia” facts we usually mask with busyness like how a certain behavior stems from childhood insecurity, or some subconscious fear are all quietly surfacing today.

My usual chatty self seems to have gone for a nap, and a philosopher has taken over.

Any sisters here who can relate? Since our energy is so inward-focused right now, why not skip forcing ourselves to socialize today? Grab a piece of paper and reflect on those recent puzzling patterns you just can’t figure out—opportunities to “look inward” like this don’t come around often.

Cazimi day isn't really for big decisions. it's for hearing what you've been talking yourself out of for months.

Every astrology post today is saying “this is the clearest day of the year, make the decision now.” and every year people do exactly that. then three weeks later they're back wondering why it collapsed.

Because mercury Cazimi is not really a decision window. it's a listening window.

The clarity people get during Cazimi is usually real. the problem is they immediately turn the sentence into action before they actually sit with it.

And honestly, if the realization arrives with urgency, panic, or “I NEED to do this right now,” that's usually not the clarity. that's fear grabbing onto the clarity and sprinting with it.

Real Cazimi clarity feels quieter than that. more like recognition. like something you've already known for months finally stopped fighting its way through static.

Usually the sentence itself is simple:

“I already know this relationship is over.”

“I miss this person.”

“I need to stop delaying this.”

“I don't actually want this anymore.”

That's why i think today is less about deciding and more about admitting.

Write the sentence down. let it sit for a few days. see what still feels true by the weekend.

Did anyone else have one specific thought keep repeating all day today?

Two cazimis in 48 hours. Here is a breakdown of every phase from now through Sunday.

We are inside a rare window with two Cazimi events back to back. Here is how each phase actually runs.

Thursday May 14, now through 3 PM EDT: Mercury Cazimi peak. Mental clarity. Decisions. Conversations. Journaling. This is the thinking window and the sharpest part of the week.

Thursday 3 PM to 10:30 PM EDT: Mercury Cazimi winds down. The moon is still in Aries. Energy is active but scattered. Wrap up things you started. Don't launch new things tonight.

Thursday 10:31 PM EDT: Moon enters Taurus. The tone shifts from fast to grounded. Sleep may come easier tonight than it has all week. Have a nice dream 💜

Friday May 15, all day: Moon in Taurus moving toward the Sun. Friday is an Integration day. Rest more than usual. Eat something heavy and ground. Your body is preparing for Saturday. Flow with the energy

Saturday May 16, noon to 2 PM EDT: Ground yourself before the peak. Go outside if possible. Calm yourself down. Feel your inner rhythm and flow with it.

Saturday 2 PM to 6 PM EDT: Moon Cazimi and New Moon peak window. Exact at 4:01 PM EDT at 26 degrees Taurus. Set intentions, speak them aloud, let them land in your body.

Saturday 6 PM to 10:23 PM EDT: Post peak. Eat. Rest. Let the reset settle.

Saturday 10:23 PM EDT: Moon enters Gemini. Energy shifts outward. Sleep on what surfaces. Let it settle.

Sunday May 17, 6:26 AM EDT: Mercury enters Gemini. Now you talk about what you realized. Tell one person. Words flow easier than they have all week.

This is the collective rhythm of the next few days. but people are not going to feel these phases at the exact same intensity. I checked my own energy curve earlier and my pressure window landed way earlier than the general transit peak, which honestly explains a lot.

If you want, drop your birth date, birth time if you know it, gender, and birth location. even partial info is fine. I’ll reply to as many as i can with how mercury Cazimi and taurus new moon may hit your energy this rest of May.

Mercury Cazimi is exact right now. Here are important Timing windows that you do not want to miss.

Mercury cazimi in Taurus is exact at 10:34 AM EDT. Peak clarity runs from now through early evening. the period when Mercury is considered fully "in the heart of the sun" and its energy is most potent, roughly from 4:48 am to 4:00 pm DT. Here is how the day breaks down.

Now through noon EDT: Peak clarity window. Make the decision you have been sitting on. Salary, boundary, direction. Your judgment is cleaner right now than it will be for weeks.

Noon to 3 PM EDT: Conversation window. Mercury Cazimi means whatever you say lands with precision. Talk about money, the relationship check-in, or the feedback you have been receiving. Your words carry extra weight right now, so choose your words with intention.

3 PM to 6 PM EDT: Write. The ideas that surface this afternoon tend to stick. Capture them even if they are incomplete. Saturday's New Moon will give you more context for what appears today.

After 6 PM EDT: Wind down. The peak clarity fades. Eat something grounding. Go to bed early. Your mind worked hard today.

This is a general timetable for everyone. If you want to know your personal timing windows, check an energy calendar to map your personal energy curve. your sharpest window might land slightly earlier or later than universal timing. A plan works better when following your personal energy.

What's your peak clarity window today? Is there a specific hour where your mind suddenly feels sharper?

Anyone else feeling called out by tomorrow’s Mercury Cazimi?

Around 10:34 a.m. tomorrow, Mercury will dive into the Sun’s embrace, hitting our 4th house right on the mark and forming a square with our sign. It feels like we're about to launch a spaceship to Mars, only to find a leak at home. While this might sound a bit frustrating, this friction can actually bring our usually ethereal ideas back down to earth.

Since this energy is focused on home and foundations, let’s not get too caught up in dreaming about the stars and the vastness of space. If we're thinking about moving, rearranging our workspace, or setting clear social boundaries with family members, take advantage of that clear-headed energy tomorrow morning and just say it. Right now, speaking with a bit of Taurus’s down-to-earth practicality will work much better than our usual abstract logic.

The most actionable step: Don’t rush into future planning first thing tomorrow morning—start by tidying up our physical “nest.” Replace that lightbulb that’s been out for ages, or finalize a household chore schedule with our roommates that’s been in the works for the past two weeks. Once our home front is stable, our Aquarius system can run even more smoothly. After all, an Aquarius who can’t even handle life on Earth won’t be able to lead a future interstellar colonization mission.

Anyone else going offline for tomorrow’s Cazimi?

Since Mercury is going to “vanish” from our 12th house tomorrow, let’s go ahead and switch to offline mode too. Around 10:30 a.m. tomorrow, instead of chatting idly in group chats, find a quiet corner, put on our headphones, and block out all the outside noise.

If we feel like our brain isn’t working or we're at a loss for words, that’s perfectly normal—it just means our system is quietly updating in the background. Don’t force ourselves to explain those strange, unformed thoughts, and don’t rush to translate our intuition into logic. Just let those fragments of inspiration float around in our subconscious for a while.

The simplest approach: cancel unnecessary social engagements, turn off notifications, and give our brain some breathing room. All we need to do is observe the strange signals popping up in our minds as if watching a play, jotting them down in a memo as they come. Once this wave of inspiration passes, we can look back and see what interesting things are hidden in this “source code.”

Save this: the full cosmic timing for rest of the week (mercury Cazimi to moon Cazimi)

Wednesday May 13 (TODAY): Moon in Aries. Energy is restless. Wrap up loose ends. Do not start anything big.

Thursday May 14: Moon enters Taurus at 10:31 PM EDT. Mercury Cazimi exact around 10:34 AM EDT at 23°37' Taurus. Your best mental clarity window of the month. Make decisions. Have the hard conversation. Write the thing you have been avoiding. This clarity lasts into Friday.

Friday May 15: Moon in Taurus. Quiet day. Rest more than usual. Eat grounding food. This is the calm before the reset.

Saturday May 16: Taurus New Moon / Moon Cazimi at 4:01 PM EDT at 25°46' Taurus. Sun and Moon merge. The 4 hours around 4 PM are the strongest window. Set intentions. Release what is done. The Moon moves into Gemini at 10:23 PM EDT and energy shifts toward communication.

Sunday May 17: Mercury enters Gemini at 6:26 AM EDT. Time to talk about what you realized on Saturday. Mercury is home here. Words flow easier.

If you have any specific plans/events during these days, Timing tracks your personal energy cycles against cosmic timing, the curve will suggest your personal best energy window for particular tasks. Save this post and check back as it unfolds.

This is the clearest mental window of the month. If you're feeling stuck, what's the one decision you're making before the New Moon on Saturday?

Here’s a little tip for us Libras (with Ascendant as the main focus) to take it easy today: there’s really no need to force yourself to keep every creative project alive. Pluto’s retrograde is cutting straight into our 5th house, which is like giving our creativity and sense of joy a thorough energy audit. We sometimes confuse genuine enjoyment with putting on a show to save face. This astrological influence is asking us: Who are we creating for, and do these projects still bring us genuine joy? That project that had us so hooked six months ago might now feel like a total drain just to look at—those once-sparkling ideas have turned into meaningless checkmarks on a to-do list. Don’t feel the slightest bit of frustration—just treat this as incredibly useful feedback. Pluto in the 5th House is simply helping us practice minimalist decluttering, clearing out those zombie processes that have long since drained our energy. This month, let’s quietly take some practical action: pick a work project that’s stalled or a social engagement that’s more exhausting than a day job, and just mute it or put it on hiatus. There’s absolutely no need to issue a public announcement—just pull the plug behind the scenes. Observe your body’s genuine reaction: if you feel an instant sense of relief, that decision was spot-on. Even if you feel a little conflicted, that’s still a set of high-value test data. Pluto isn’t violent at all; it simply demands that we remain absolutely ruthless and honest about the people and things that should have been cut off long ago.

reddit.com
u/creative_overbooked — 15 days ago

Here’s the lowdown for us Geminis (with Ascendant as the primary focus and Sun as secondary): If you run into a problem you can’t figure out today, just force the progress bar to freeze right there. Right now, Pluto is in our 9th house, performing a major overhaul of our underlying logic—specifically targeting our beliefs, educational plans, and worldview. Our default setting as Geminis is to frantically gather data, jump to conclusions at the speed of light, and move on—but this time, Pluto has pulled the plug. It’s shattering the old beliefs we’ve grown accustomed to, and it’s not giving us permission to download the new updates just yet. Lately, we might be staring at that course we just paid for, that certification exam coming up, or those long-haul plane tickets we booked, our minds swirling with existential questions. Our instinctive reaction is definitely to cancel everything immediately and hunt for the next new target. But this time, we’re going to resist that impulse and take our hands off the “cancel course” and “refund ticket” buttons. We’ll just sit tight during this buggy period where the old system has crashed and the new one hasn’t been installed yet. A hardcore upgrade can only be completed during this blank period—it’s perfectly normal to feel uncomfortable. No matter how fast Mercury’s CPU spins, it still has to wait for Pluto’s sluggish server to sync up. For the next five months, let’s just put our brains in read-only mode—gathering information without jumping to conclusions. We’ll toss all that anxiety and doubt into the background to run slowly, and by the time the automatic update finishes in October, that final version of reality will definitely be worth the six months of lag.

The 5th house is supposed to be our playground for romance and creativity, but with Pluto in retrograde, the energy here is so dense it’s almost overwhelming. One moment we might be completely obsessed with a new creative project, and the next we’re conducting a forensic-level analysis of a text message from someone we’ve only gone on one date with. Suddenly, a right swipe on a dating app feels like some kind of fateful arrangement, while a painting that doesn’t meet our expectations feels like a total collapse of our self-image. We might even lose emotional control over an old song from 2019. Objectively speaking, this state is indeed full of dramatic tension, yet we maintain a clear-eyed observer’s perspective, fully aware of just how over-the-top we’re being right now.

The hardcore practical task Pluto is now assigning us is, in fact, a rigorous audit of our own energy flow. We need to calmly take stock and clarify exactly what brings us genuine, high-frequency joy, and what is merely an ineffective performance we put on to maintain a certain persona. We must assess whether we genuinely like the person across from us, or if we merely appreciate the visual appeal and social value they provide by standing beside us. We need to confirm whether we truly enjoy the creative process, or if we’re just addicted to the “creative person” label. If we happen to have children, this high-pressure energy will manifest as subtle daily power struggles, or make us acutely aware of the heavy responsibility that comes with creating life. The best solution at this stage is to coexist peacefully with these slightly painful questions. For now, we can treat this retrograde as a routine exercise in energy management, and then go back to comfortably overanalyzing that text message. Who else is brainstorming with me in this vortex of Pluto in the 5th house?

Are we starting to question the meaning of life yet again? Pluto’s retrograde in Aquarius has completely turned our 9th house upside down. As Geminis, we’re hardwired with a “Why?” mode from the factory—we can switch gears at the speed of light just by scrolling through a webpage. But this nuclear fission is way beyond the scope of our usual routine. Pluto is holding a magnifying glass right up to the source code of our lives, grilling us on whether we really want to keep running this program. Take me, for example: I signed up for a course in January with absolute conviction, but now I’m staring at the screen, wondering what on earth I was thinking when I chose this path. Most of us are probably staring blankly at the college applications, certification exams, or expiring long-haul plane tickets right in front of us. The plans we were so sure of back in January are now completely stuck and won’t run. Our first instinct when we encounter a system error is always to immediately start frantically typing away to fix it, but when faced with the slow-moving retrograde of Pluto, we actually need to put our hands back in our pockets. There’s no need to rush to drop out of school or cancel tickets before May 7th—just let these questions simmer in the background for now. While you’re at it, check your birth chart: if your Mercury happens to be between 3 and 6 degrees in a fixed sign—Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, or Aquarius—this mental shake-up is definitely front-row VIP material. What plans we once believed in wholeheartedly are we now eyeing with skepticism? Head to the comments section and share your thoughts.
