Nemesis Legacy Kickstarter is Up - Any guess on the “Secret Add-on?”

I’m a bit torn between the the 269 Euro and the 129 Euro versions.

The Secret Add-on is priced at 35 Euro ($40). I mean if I’m lucky, someone here saw a podcast or something that has a hint of what it is.

My best guess is that it’s something cosmetic. If it were new playable characters / new alien enemies then they would have just told us or something to sell more.

Personally I’m probably leaning towards the 129 Euro backing ($144). Legacy games are HECKA long, I’m guessing base Legacy has 12+ playthroughs minimum. and it’ll take my group more than 1-3 years to play. We’re still finihsing Clank Legacy 1 and I’ve owned Clank Legacy 2 for like 2-3 years.

I love our “sorry, not real” meme pic, we need one for “it’s real”

Hope this is alright by mods,

If you were to pick an image to represent “it’s real” for a reply on this forum, what would you use? The “sorry, not real” meme gives the subreddit such character 👍.

I wish they never mentioned turns in the Bracket system, it’s so widely misunderstood by so many people

Older competitive players know back in the day turns was an introduce concept to 60 card formats. Legacy was a 1-2 turn format, Modern 3-4, Standard was a 4+.

Most Legacy players know that your average Legacy can end quickly but MOST the time goes wayyy further than that. Modern/Standard players also know that there have absolutely been turn 1-2 wins in magical Christmas land.

Now we have the same shenanigans happening in EDH with daily posts on here claiming something is busted or not strong enough.

One important factor is that the turns system takes PLAYER INTERACTION into account.

Too many newer players complaining decks are busted when they lose by Turn 7 whilst they have little to no interaction at all. Lotta CEDH-wannabes saying that if your deck can’t win by T2 it doesn’t belong in CEDH or B4.

Anyone who’s been in a CEDH tournament knows most games go to Time. Personally I think your average Tuned B3 deck can definitely take players out by T7 if they have the right 7 cards and also zero interaction to stop them.

The Bracket system was built to have an objective standard for players to agree upon to set expectations.

The Turn system is highly subjective. A B3 game can end on turn 4-6, and a B5 game can end on turn 20, doesn’t mean anyone is misrepresenting anything at all.

Been anxious because my 24 month kiddo is behind milestones and it’s making me think she may be autistic (vent)

TLDR: My kid is behind milestones and it’s making me freak out a bit.

So my wife (I’m dad) took her to doctor appointment and said that my second daughter (24 months) is behind on talking. According to my wife, our doctor referred her to speach therapy which we’re going for an assessment on Wednesday. As far as I know, autism was NOT mentionted (I wasn’t there). On a side note, my close friend just said his two year old was diagnosed as autistic very recently as well and now it’s on the brain.

For background I’m an RN and do home-health for special needs kids. Of course now I have to do a lot of home-research to see what signs and symptoms are. She was premature born by about 5 weeks. She did awesome in NICU though. They thought she’d been in there for 4 weeks but after 1-2 days, they took her of oxygen, and then she was out within 5 more days with great vitals.

- She was meeting 1-year milestones quite well, she walked a bit late but by 18 months she was climbing everything.
- She doesn’t talk much at all, she got the first 5-6 words down pretty good but after that she just stopped repeating a lot of words she says. She can repeat some words after us but tends not to.
- She doesnt’ seem to point very much at all, I do see her point at things at books now and again. When she wants something on a counter, she just climbs up and grabs it or pushes a chair to reach it.
- She doesn’t really answer her name.
- Also she doesn’t seem to hold prolonged eye-contact. She’ll hold it for 1-3 seconds but then she’ll get absorbed by something else she sees.
- I don’t think I’ve seen her do any amount of stimming. She’ll spin in a cirlce once in a LONG while but nothing of waving her hands or rocking back and forth.
- She doesn’t seem upset by loud noises or by groups of people.
- Her playing does mimic some things she sees. She’ll grab a toy cell phone and hold it to her ear and I have seen her pretend to put her toys to bed once which was adorable.
- She’s completely fine playing by herself but I’ve seen her play with her older 4-yo sister on occaision. They’ll run and chase eachother a bit or do a bit of peek-a-boo and she’ll laugh and play with her sister for a good 15-20 minutes or so.
- She has about zero routines that she’s incredibly attached to. Nothing that makes her incredibly upset.

I’m definitely a thinker-type person, I can tend to get into my head a bit. I feel like no one can 100% with confidence say YES or NO that there isn’t an issue. I’m generally afraid that my kid is autistic and all the things I see with my pediatric patients at work is just going to be my life for the next 30 years.

Thank YOU for anyone who got this far! If you have any encouraging words of advice or nice thoughts to talk me off the ledge, everything is appreciated : )

Currently first time playing Dead Space 3, holy crap what happened to this series??

I had beaten DS1 and DS2 a LONG time ago, like high school years. Decided to take a trip down memory lane and went back.

Played DS1 Remake for the fist time 3 weeks ago, DAMN amazing, they seemingly made Isaac a ginger but he’s got a voice now, great stuff.

DS2 played last week, absolute cinema. That game holds up INCREDIBLY well. Like damn, they knew what they were doing. The jumpscares, the alien arena battles, the story. I honestly forgot about 90% of the game and didn’t realize they had a whole Cabin in the Woods scene in the last act.

Now DS3 which is my first playthough ever. Damn what a crap show. I know people are liking it it really just did so many things wrong.

- Craft system: yah alright, kinda neat but you can literally craft the ultimate weaopn by chapter 4-5 with 8 damage chips in it and never change weaopns again.
- Ammo system: all ammo fits every weapon?
- Surval system: let’s be real…it’s not a survival anymore. The game is literally showering me with 20 extra health vials it’s rediculous how many I sell and still store 10 in hand and 10 in storage.
- Weapon system: how is it I only get access to 3-4 weapons for the first 5 hours of the game?
- Story: story’s crap, holy hell no one cares about Isaac’s love triangle. I’ve seen deeper storylines in my kid’s Paw Patrol movies.

I’m 1000% for remaking DS2 but if it does well, we’re definitely scrapping DS3, it’s not cannon as far as I’m concerned.

Thoughts on a no-shuffle Battle of Wits EDH deck? How are you building your deck?

So if you haven’t heard, [[Whtz, The Bibliophile]] is now a thing with a free [[Yorion]] side commander.

So I play all ranges of EDH from B2 to Competitive, money and everything aren’t really a consideration.

I just need someone to talk me off a ledge if it sounds dumb. It’s not TOO bad shuffling a 250 card deck but I mean If I’m shoving every fetch land / evolving wilds / terramorphic expanse into the deck, Shuffling 250 cards every single turn sounds like a pain in the ass right?

So my idea is to go hard on draw/value theme and just go hard on every value/draw card as I can think of and draw into Battle of Wits or whatever my win cons are going to be.

The deck would be a low to mid B3. I’ll probably include a few game changers just because screw it why not? Probably Rhystic / Cyclonic Rift / The One Ring. Something Draw/value heavy.

I’m also thinking [[Sting, The Glinting Dagger]] with commander + [[Reed Richards, Smartest Man]]. If I over-draw then I can [[Elixir of Immortality]] + [[Battle of Wits]] for a cheap win or go with the usual draw-theme wins [[Psychosis Crawler]].

What are your plans with Battle of Wits?

So am Millenial, so I’ve listened to them forever. How good is their live concert? Good stuff?

Considering seeing them in Vegas with The Happy Fits as their opener.

Write an EDH haiku for fun

I was hanging out with buds kitchen-table EDH style. My bud borrowed a deck and I thought it was funny to give him a deck primer in Haiku form (five-seven-five syllables).

Then I wrote on [[The Earth King]]:

- One Drop then Three Drop
- Play King Ramp Many Forests
- Do Green Stuff and Win

So now I’m bored at work, write a primer or love letter of your favorite or commander or even a sorrow or hate letter to your friends most annoying commander.

I have friends going to EDC for 1 day, can they transfer the tickets on the other days to me and my sister?

Two friends of mine are only able to attend EDC next year for 1 day, can we buy the tickets/wristbands or whatever off them to attend EDC for the other days?

How to resolve Dr. Eggman in multiplayer?

[[Dr. Eggman]]

- option 1: villainous choice, opponent A picks a choice then that player A discards or I put a permanent into play (robot vehicle construct). Move to opponent B, they make villainous choice…
- option 2: in turn order, each opponent makes their villainous choice first, after choices picked, resolve them in order.

[[Pentad Prism]]

I feel like it definitely deserves a bit more play? Obviously nothing’s stopping me from playing it and currently I do play it in my Etali.

- Positives:

- If you get 2x colors on T1, preferrably Mox Diamond, Gemstone Caverns, Chrome Mox, you can essentially hold 2x mana for T2 which is better than most rituals outside of black.

- Also Turns on Mox Opal as an extra artifact inclusion.

- Negatives:

- Useless on an Etali flip.

- Doesn’t add an extra Rionya activation.

That said, even outside Etali I feel like holding 2 mana from T1 to T2 could be beneficial for a lot of decks. If you can drop it T1, that’s basically a T2 Kefka.
