Redditors outside the United States: Do conservatives in your countries struggle to be funny, or is this unique to the United States?

Research points to natural reasons for our political ideologies. Diversity in neurological structures cluster so that some people have brains that respond to novel stimuli with fear, loathing, and anger and others that respond to novel stimuli with attention and curiosity. The former seem to favor conservative politics, and the latter seem to favor liberal politics.

So we should expect to see this across populations. People with more emotional brains are conservative. People with more rational brains are liberal.

This neurological basis for political affinity does not, however, explain why American Republicans struggle with humor. Irony and satire are difficult for them to understand and even more difficult for them to produce. Conservative "comedians" are largely unfunny and work with "humor" that tends to be very basic and reinforcing of existing beliefs.

Is this true outside of the US?

Lunae Minx was a Twi'lek with an unusual purple color. This is because she was played by nepo baby Katie Lucas, George's adopted daughter, who got to play two other roles in the prequel trilogy and also write the scripts for some of the worst story arcs in the Clone Wars show.

Don't put algae in your reflecting pool and lie about your ozone nanobubblers just to get a Trump no-bid contract. That can be very dangerous. Almost as dangerous as having five of these beautiful hand-rolled Macanudo Cigars.

It almost goes without saying that the guy who owns one of the companies that got a no-bid contract to turn the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool into slime is a big Republican donor and a neighbor to Trump's Mar-a-Lago.

It's also not surprising that the same guy was convicted for bribing Ohio congresscrook James Traficant.

It's probably not fair to make fun of his physical appearance, even though he looks like a human-pig hybrid in a bad rug.

It is deliciously funny, though, to learn that his company's name is "Greenwater Services."

Green. Water.

Here he is, John J. Cafaro, in all his glory, at a Mar-a-Lago event.

When your jokes about watching World Cup matches for 90 minutes only for them to end in a tie don't land with your European and Latin American friends

How many cops will be laid off as Flock continues to expand?

Do local police departments not understand that the endgame of Flock is to "defund the police" and to replace law enforcement officers with a national surveillance system? Some of them will continue to be required to respond to emergencies and document crimes, but Flock fundamentally is an effort to downsize police forces and zero out retirement budgets by making these public employees redundant.

Anakin built a protocol droid instead of an ASP-series labor droid that he could have exchanged with Watto for his mother's freedom. This is because Anakin was an idiot.
