Can Verizon really charge for WhatsApp calls to another country?

I’m trying to understand something Verizon told me, because it doesn’t sound right.

I live in the US and have Verizon. I made a voice call inside the WhatsApp app to a friend in Spain. I didn’t use the iPhone Phone app or dial their phone number—I simply opened WhatsApp and tapped the call button on their WhatsApp profile.

Verizon is claiming that calls like this can still be billed as international calls.
That doesn’t make sense to me, since I thought WhatsApp-to-WhatsApp calls use only an internet connection (Wi-Fi or mobile data) and don’t go through the cellular voice network.

Am I missing something?
Has anyone here ever been charged by Verizon for a WhatsApp-to-WhatsApp international call? Or is it possible the representative confused WhatsApp with Verizon’s Wi-Fi Calling feature?

I’d appreciate any clarification or real-world experiences.

Noise underneath the car Yukon/2023/SLT

Hello friends,

I have a question about a noise I’ve been experiencing after driving for 30-40 minutes. When I stop the car and close the doors, I hear a strange noise that seems to be related to the AC (I think so, but I’m not entirely sure).

Is anyone familiar with this issue?
Is it normal?
Should I take the car to GMC for a checkup?

Wie kwam daar vroeger altijd vóór de Ajax‑wedstrijden?
En wat is jullie mooiste herinnering van die plek?

Ik ben daar honderden keren geweest in zoveel herinneringen van zoveel thuiswedstrijden.

Voor mij waren het vooral de Klassiekers en de marsen vóór de wedstrijden. Dat is één van de plekken die me het meest doen denken aan het klassieke Ajax van de jaren ’90.

Move the Play/Pause button already

Still can’t believe in 2026 the huge Play/Pause icon pops up directly in the center of the video and blocks the content.
Why is this still a thing? Move it lower or make it smaller already.
