Best and cheap air monitor to check rubber gym flooring in my bedroom are safe? What parameter should it check?

As I said, I live in a small home and the only place where I can put my small gym is inside my bedroom.

For this reason, I need to make sure that the rubber gym flooring I am going to add is safe.

I asked ChatGPT which parameters I should check in this situation and it suggested getting an air quality monitor that can measure VOCs and formaldehyde. It also said that I should look for a monitor using a PID sensor rather than MOX sensors, since PID sensors are supposed to be more accurate for measuring VOCs.

In the end, ChatGPT suggested the Temtop M10 or the Govee Air Quality Monitor.

Are those actually good suggestions for what I need?

If my budget is around 50€/100€, which air quality monitor would you recommend for my case?

I want to DIY a TLCD monitor. How can I make a frame or stand for the LCD panel?

I am on a budget and I want to make my own TLCD display from an old monitor.

I have watched various videos showing how to separate the LCD panel from the rest of the monitor and that part seems easy.

The problem I am facing is that the LCD panel is very thin and fragile. How can I make a frame or stand to keep it upright while also protecting it from breaking?

Any easy (and possibly good-looking) solutions? I have no 3d printer and I wouldn't know how to design such a thing.
If you don't know what I am talking about, these are example of what I would like to achieve:

How much electricity power does a Wahoo Kickr Core consume? My country is one of the countries with the highest electricity costs.

Before buying one I would like to know that the running costs are sustainable.
In case it consumes a lot, are there similiar devices that consume less electricity?
Thank you

Is it really necessary at least 50 cm of clearance on either side for the dock?

I have just bought my first cleaning vacuum, which is a Roborock Q10 S5.

I have a small home with few plugs, so I would like to position the dock under furniture with 15 cm of clearance on either side (see image).

But I read on the instructions that I should keep at least 50 cm of clearance on either side.

Is it really necessary that much clearance or does it not matter?

Thank you very much.

Small spring fell out of Canon MAXIFY GX7050 paper cassette. Where does it go?

Hi all,
I pulled out the paper cassette on my Canon MAXIFY GX7050 to clean it and a small copper extension spring fell out (see attached photos).

The printer still works but I would like to know to which part of the printer this spring belongs to, so that I can put it back.
Thank you for any help.

Difference between Secure Boot and TPM?

I have difficulties understanding what is the difference between Secure Boot and TPM, since it seems to me that they both check if the boot process has been altered.

Can the Dell Latitude 5420 work without battery?

I want to use my Dell Latitude 5420 as a desktop and for this reason I will keep it permanently plugged to the AC charger.

Since it would be useless to keep the battery inside it, I want to use the laptop without the battery.

So, I tried to use the laptop without the battery but it doesn't even start. The only thing it does is, the moment I attach the AC charger, the power-status light becomes white for 1 second and then disappears.

My question is: can the Dell Latitude 5420 work without battery? Do I have to change some settings? Can I use an AC charger that it is not a Dell one (right now I am using a 65W Lenovo charger)?

What is Windows Boot Manager in my Latitude BIOS Boot Configuration?

I just have a NVME in which there is the OS, inside my Latitude laptop. Why is there a thing called "Windows boot manager" that boots before the NVME in Bios "Boot Configuration"?

Can I delete it?

Can I just install BIOS and drivers automatically through Windows Update? What is the benefit to use Dell SupportAssist or Dell Command Update?

I am a computer noob.

I just bought a Dell Latitude and I tried to install Dell Command Update but I got an error during installation (missing Microsoft.NET Desktop Runtime).

So, I went to Windows Update and I saw that the Dell drivers and BIOS update were in queue.

So, I am considering not installing nor Dell SupportAssist or Dell Command Update and just use the Windows Update that happens in automatic.

My questions are:

  1. Are there any drawbacks in just using Windows Update?

  2. In the case I would install Dell SupportAssist or Dell Command Update, wouldn't they just go in conflict with Windows Update, since they both install Dell drivers and I don't think that I can tell to Windows Update to stop update the drivers since there is already another program that does that.

Any help is appreciated.

How to check if the laptop I bought on secondhand market has Absolute/CompuTrace/Lojack active?

As per title, I would like to know if it is always possible to know if Absolute/CompuTrace/Lojack is active. I think it is enough to go in BIOS security settings to find it out?

I am asking because I have read that sometimes you are not able to find it out, even if you check in the BIOS settings.

A friend of mine asked me to buy and setup him a cheap laptop to use for archiving photos, any help is appreciated

My friend has not much understanding of computers and for this reason he asked me to buy and setup him a cheap secondhand laptop that he wants to use for productivity but also for storing photos (max budget 250$).

Regarding storing photos, my idea would be to buy him x2 1TB HDDs that it would connect to the PC simultaneously through a double docking station (like this) only when he needs to load or view the photos.
To let you better understand, my idea is that the first time he will copy all the images he has on the phone to the two HDDs and then whenever he will want to add more images from his phone, he will have to check the last month he already added to the HDDs in order to move from the phone only the photos he has not already copied.
What do you think of this solution?

But I am not sure this is a good solution for him since I think he expects an easier solution but that would mean to get him a 1TB NVMe, so that the storage device can stay directly inside the laptop but that would exceed his budget.

What would you do?

Thank you

How is it possible that comparing these 2 Intel CPUs of same generation, they have same performance but one has 15W TDP and the other 28W TDP?

How is it possible that "Intel Core i5-1135G7 @ 2.40GHz" and the "Intel Core i5-1145G7 @ 2.60GHz" have almost the same performance but the TPD is double for the "Intel Core i5-1145G7 @ 2.60GHz"?

This is the Passmark link with the comparison: https://www.cpubenchmark.net/compare/3830vs3922/Intel-i5-1135G7-vs-Intel-i5-1145G7

I am new to pcs and I don't understand if I am missing something. Thank you.

Can a website trigger a Windows Defender Trojan warning even if I didn’t download or run anything on that website?

I was browsing a website "with girls" videos and my Windows Defender showed a popup about blocking a Trojan. I did not manually download a file or run anything.

What that Trojan blocked popup mean?

  1. Was the Trojan file trying to run?
  2. Was the Trojan file being downloaded to my PC storage?
  3. Was the Trojan file trying to be downloaded?

I am trying to understand how it is possible that a Trojan was blocked if I didn’t download or run anything.

Suggestions for a cheap mini PC that can ran Windows 11 and multiple browser tabs?

I’m new to the mini PC world, and it seems to me that, for the same performance, a second-hand laptop offers better value than a second-hand mini PC. But I may be wrong, so I’d like some recommendations.

I need a mini PC that can run Windows 11 smoothly and handle multiple browser tabs without slowing down. The cheaper, the better.

Need a windows mini PC to run AI locally under 600€

My requirements are the following:

  • Cheap (around 600€ max)
  • Low energy cost (since my country is the country with the highest electricity cost)
  • Hardware specialized for running AI locally
  • OS: Windows

Any help is very appreciated, thanks.

EDIT: I know 600€ won't run massive LLMs at high speeds. I just want a machine with a great price-to-performance ratio and dedicated hardware for AI. Basically, I'm looking for an M4 Mac mini but for Windows.
