Were the Jedi fully unaware that the Grand Army of the Republic had 150 Contingency Orders in place and if they did not one Jedi took the time to study them and find it odd that the 66th order specifically authorized the execution of all Jedi?
I know the official explanation is that Order 66 was one of 150 contingency orders for the Grand Army of the Republic, but were the Jedi actually aware of the details behind these orders?
If they knew Order 66 specifically allowed the clones to execute all Jedi for “treason,” why did nobody in the Jedi Order seriously investigate it or question how dangerous that could become? Was the information classified from the Jedi, buried in Republic military bureaucracy, or did the Jedi simply trust the Republic too much by that point?
I know The Clone Wars touched on the inhibitor chips and Fives discovering the conspiracy, but I’m wondering if any canon or Legends media fully explains how much the Jedi actually knew about the contingency orders before Revenge of the Sith.
