Finally starting the book...

How many people only have history with the game, and not the book? I got a slap of nostalgia recently and chucked it on my ereader.
I swear the barman here could be Ratz too.

I picked this up in a good will store in Dublin. It's litho #5 26/55 by Arthur Solin called "Mr Donnelles Delight". I bought it because I really liked it. Gives me Otto Dix lithography vibes. Paid €190 for it. Probably over the odds but honestly this wasn't a investment purchase and it was a charity shop.
My read on the piece is that we're in the new objectivity style, judging a brothel scene. The man on the right has is finger in a bottle while being presented with a working girl by the brothels madam.
But open to plenty more interpretation.
it's a signature on a painting I bought. I haven't been able to match it to a known artist - which of course means they may not be known - but still.
Edit: thanks hive mind! It is indeed Arthur Solin! Never would have said that was an "S"
interested in the history and discussion of topic. It appears to be a litho print from a series (this being 5) called Mr Donnelles Delight. It has an artist name like Artur Kolin? And April 26/55 (which I assume to be number of prints created. I'd wager it was someone that worked near a press in Dublin and was enjoying the art. Before it eventually got into an old frame.
My read on the word itself is that it's very Dix inspired (which drew me to it). Seedy brothel with plenty of sexual imagery like that finger in the bottle.
Howdy folks - long time lurker, first time poster (I think). I'm a failed developer that works in an dev/tech adjacent role. Please take pity on me as I am trying to get through an interview process and want to wow with primary research at short notice. Apologies if this isn't allowed, but if you have 5 mins to fill this in - you'd be making an old man very happy (or what ever the usual line is)
Have been after a proper knife for so long. Took the plunge once and for all and now have "a knife guy"
