From pervert glasses to Portuguese non-smart glasses

I did have smart raybans but got sick of the way the privacy features were being knocked off and screw meta anyway. Picked these up on holidays instead and they are lovely. Brolls - handmade in Portugal.

Editing of Live Shows before selling

Maybe this is to be expected but I was a little disappointed to buy the I show and find they've edited one The Day That Never Comes to remove Kirks mistake at the start. Leaving me wondering what else was changed or fixed or even how they edited it?

Do they take an intro from another show and edit it in? The whole beauty of live is things like this happen. I was ready to laugh again and had to go to YouTube to get it.

Toll in Rental with Tag

Howdy

I drove from Lisbon to Coimbra yesterday. The first toll snuck up on me so I went into a manual lane by mistake and got a slip of paper despite having a tag on the car for fast lane.

I went through the fast lane on my next toll and it flashed up €7.10.

Little worried that I've broken the usual flow here. Anything to worry about?

Flammkuchen Bitte!

Hallo zusammen!

Danke schon mal!

Food Review Club at Romayos. Obviously an Ad.

I know this will come as absolutely no surprise to anybody but the latest food review club video where they go to Romeo's is so obviously an ad. The guy they have working at the counter is obviously selling products. You can tell he's been prepped. It's not organic at all. He's got a list he keeps looking down at. He's talking about the protein content of their chicken. He has a script and he's being prompted by the guy who does these reviews. I just don't understand how the ASAI isn't getting involved here because there's no sign of an ad or anything on this. It's clearly been paid for surely.

Dusseldorf

Legitimately. One of the best live shows I've ever witnessed. I've watched YouTube videos of system live. Always thought they had great albums and not to expect much live. For want of better comparison - like Blink182.

But holy shit.

They were amazing. Setlist stunning. Quality and energy second to none. Went in a fan. Came out stunned.

Was Rob hired, genuinely, as part of the St. Anger auditions?

Or do you think that was more for the documentary? I mean - I guess it's unlikely the band wouldn't want to bring in all these big name bassists and waste their time for a doc, but I was shocked how a few of them came across so badly on the doc too. Rob was obviously amazing and the perfect fit.

But the whole thing always sat a little weird - almost as if purely story telling?

People who've adopted brick

I have a brick and haven't really started using it yet. I have a mix of work from home and work from the office and I also run my own media brand, which means I can't give up social media completely. It's part of my work but I know I use it way too much.

Strategically I'm thinking the hour before I get out of bed and the hour before bedtime in the evening to watch a movie without having social media. What ways are people using brick where it's helping? I understand there are alternatives to brick but I actually have this so I wanna use it.

Stuck to my guns and bought just one poster from Dublin no repeats

Delighted with it though. And donated blood today, by chance grabbed two picks - one for each night. Along with the fan cards it's a nice memento to have from the weekend in Dublin.

Finally starting the book...

Interested to know...

How many people only have history with the game, and not the book? I got a slap of nostalgia recently and chucked it on my ereader.

I swear the barman here could be Ratz too.

Any insights?

I picked this up in a good will store in Dublin. It's litho #5 26/55 by Arthur Solin called "Mr Donnelles Delight". I bought it because I really liked it. Gives me Otto Dix lithography vibes. Paid €190 for it. Probably over the odds but honestly this wasn't a investment purchase and it was a charity shop.

My read on the piece is that we're in the new objectivity style, judging a brothel scene. The man on the right has is finger in a bottle while being presented with a working girl by the brothels madam.

But open to plenty more interpretation.

Can someone help me work out this name? I have many ideas but haven't matched to a person so hoping that I'm just wrong

it's a signature on a painting I bought. I haven't been able to match it to a known artist - which of course means they may not be known - but still.

Edit: thanks hive mind! It is indeed Arthur Solin! Never would have said that was an "S"

Bought in Dublin Ireland

interested in the history and discussion of topic. It appears to be a litho print from a series (this being 5) called Mr Donnelles Delight. It has an artist name like Artur Kolin? And April 26/55 (which I assume to be number of prints created. I'd wager it was someone that worked near a press in Dublin and was enjoying the art. Before it eventually got into an old frame.

My read on the word itself is that it's very Dix inspired (which drew me to it). Seedy brothel with plenty of sexual imagery like that finger in the bottle.

Developer Questionnaire for Job Interview

Howdy folks - long time lurker, first time poster (I think). I'm a failed developer that works in an dev/tech adjacent role. Please take pity on me as I am trying to get through an interview process and want to wow with primary research at short notice. Apologies if this isn't allowed, but if you have 5 mins to fill this in - you'd be making an old man very happy (or what ever the usual line is)
