Sleeping with his eyes open and using his own foot as a pillow
He's weird. Roast him❤️
It's been 1 week and I am already having panic attacks?
Is this....normal? Apparently I started at an extremely chaotic time. A lot of angry patients. It is a small medical practice. It sounds like my predecessor quit because of overwork and low pay ($17/hr). I don't work with anyone other than my boss, basically. I have no coworkers to ask questions.
I was trained for like 3 days, and now I am being completely left alone. My boss is leaving the country tomorrow for an entire 2 weeks and leaving me without help. The patients are unbelievably mean, and I've already gotten serious threats over things that I had nothing to do with. When I told my manager, she just laughed. I should be used to this because I worked retail for years and got all sorts of threats every day, so idk why I am so shaken up.
But my biggest problem is I feel like nobody is telling me how I am actually supposed to do my job, and now every time I ask a question, I get attitude, and the answer is always vague or doesnt apply to whatever context applies. I am afraid to ask questions at this point even though I NEED to because I am not fucking around with people's medical care. She knows this is my first medical office job.
I hyperventilated and cried for my whole lunch break yesterday in my car after a bunch of namecalling/harassment/threats from a patient, and getting snapped at and then cold-shouldered by my boss all day.
Is this a normal first-week experience? Am I too sensitive? I don't think I've ever had a job where they expected me to know everything after a single week, but hey, maybe the patients are right and I am actually a dumb bitch. 🙃

US lesbians: would you recommend being "out" at work if not absolutely necessary?
Sorry if this is a weird/stupid thing to ask about. I'm 32, and only accepted being a lesbian a year or two ago. My philosophy on coming out has been "if you ask, I'll tell you, but otherwise it's none of your business". Kind of a chapstick lesbian as far as looks go, sometimes lean more fem or masc depending on my mood.
I just got a job as a medical receptionist, after 3 years of unemployment (not gonna get into why). I am trying to build a legitimate career, so I need to avoid drama & getting on people's bad sides like the plague.
I live in a blue state in the US, so we have legal protections in the workplace. But it's also an "employment at-will" state in an *aggressively* red county.
I don't want to have to deal with discrimination, even if there are technically ways to deal with it. I know firsthand that harassment can often be subtle or vague, and it often just ends up making you look "difficult" if you end up reporting it. Don't necessarily want to add more reasons to end up on HR's shit-list.
But at the same time, I suck at lying. I don't know if I could stomach pretending to be straight. Especially since I'm fairly reserved, and in the past, have regularly attracted the attention of outgoing straight female coworkers who try to "help" by setting me up with male coworkers who have shown interest in me. It's always really awkward to deal with that.
Idk, i'm just weighing the pros and cons before I start the job so I don't accidentally blurt out "i'm a lesbian" when pressed for info, and later come to regret it. I think it would help to hear how other late-blooming lesbians are dealing with this.
I'm sorry I put qtips on you😭
I am a monster..... he barely noticed until I rearranged them, and then he 😾✈️ so I took them away... (he has forgiven me)

Trying so hard to not let my trauma make the world a dark and terrifying place
(Please be gentle, I already feel terrible enough) (also sorry for the formatting, i'm on mobile)
32F, autistic, have been very sick & have not worked or socialized much for the past 10 years. Got surgery last month that seems to have improved my condition, and am now trying to get my life back little by little.
I've always kinda been afraid of men because of a ton of bad experiences (assault, harassment, etc.) starting at age 11 or 12. When I was 28, I suffered a severe trauma which made the problem even worse. And I am aware this makes me hypervigilant when I go anywhere alone.
That's why I hate going places alone. I avoid it. I think I'm slightly agoraphobic, actually. But I know I need to work on that, because I need my independence back more than anything. So I have been trying to get out more on my own, to practice. The idea is I will have a variety of experiences, good and bad and neutral, and will learn to recalibrate my sense of danger to match reality. It is going badly, I think.
Last week I went to the park to enjoy the nice day and get some exercise. Of course a pushy older man talked my ear off while I was sitting on a bench, exhausted after walking 5 miles in the heat, and it turns out he was working his way up to hitting on me. When it was clear I was rejecting him, he continued to try and pressure me to the point where I didn't feel comfortable staying at the park anymore.
Today, I had to go grocery shopping and ran into 3 men in the parking lot who made aggressive and creepy remarks towards me. I wanted to leave, but I said to myself "why should I have to leave? theyre the ones who suck" and stayed. Dissociated the whole time I was in the store. Cried a little. Felt pathetic.
Trying to remember all the interactions that did not make me feel unsafe. It's hard, despite there being arguably more of them. I want to focus on the normal and good stuff so I don't get completely consumed by my triggers. I just don't know how to keep going without destroying myself when my fears keep being reaffirmed every time I go out alone.
Pride festival parking?
Hi everyone, happy pride month. 🏳️🌈
This might be a stupid question, but I haven't personally driven in the city a lot. The website says it's at the inner harbor, but I can't find anything about parking. Is there an actual parking lot? Will I have to park on the street? How much will it cost?
I plan on going by myself, and it will be my first time in over a decade, which is already getting my anxiety up lol. I just want to be prepared!
Why am I having so much trouble selling my houses?
It seems like 80% of the time, whenever I sell a house, no one wants it at the price it is valued - only lower, sometimes much lower. Perfect condition, maxed out amenities. Usually theyre at least 20+ years old. Is it expected to sell them for less than theyre worth? ☹️ I don't remember it being this difficult to sell houses 5ish years ago, last time I played
Bringing these from out-of-state for me and my roommate
For some reason we can't find these locally (except cream carbonara like 3 months ago and then they were gone) so I'm excited to share when I get home. Wish I could find more cream carbonara since that's his favorite, but they were out of stock when I went back a second time.
Just used jojoba oil before taking these pics. I've been kinda sporadic with oiling them, so there is room for improvement. But this is a *huge* deal to me, since I used to compulsively bite my nails whenever they grew the tiniest bit longer than my fingertips. I originally wanted a rounder shape, but one of my thumbnails broke on the side and it kinda naturally formed this pointy shape, so I thought I might as well make them match lol
