Why do ppl say she's bad? I have maintained a 65-72% wr with her.

Like, all the pieces just ain't welding together true. They say she's bad but I keep winning games with her?

New ability that came to me in a dream

So as a predominantly tank player I've always hated Elsa's trap, but I like everything else. She's really fun but the trap is miserable to play into because it has no counter play and it's the reason why you get banned half the time. So I started thinking if an ability were to replace the trap, what would it be? I couldn't really come up with an answer so I just went to sleep.

And then it came to me in a dream. An ability that makes sense and isn't too broken. Here it is

She gets a block that is like iron fist block, that if you hit him while he has it up he gets bonus HP. But if you hit her she gets damage resistance instead, and it caps at 30%. Like this she is harder to kill. With the damage resistance it would be as if she had 325 HP which is pretty good and it's damage that the healers can build their ults off of.

But instead of getting to punch really fast like iron fist after you block you get to use both guns... BUT AT THE SAME TIME. And while you can fire both guns you can fire without reloading. Now, since the elephant rifle doesn't actually have a reload there would be a 0.3 second delay between shots. It would last as long as mags Wanda team up. For simplicities sake.

That's it. Is it good? Is it bad? I don't know, I don't have enough hours and Elsa to fully dictate that. If it's good thanks. And if it's bad, yeah I know. I know I'm a dumbass, I already knew this was going to be a silly idea. bye 👋

Widow's rework was the best thing for the character but it still needs touch ups

I want to start this by saying that the rework was a good idea. I don't care how you feel about it she was objectively bad for 8 fucking seasons. To illustrate how bad it was I'm going to use my own experience as example.

The only reason I downloaded rivals was because my brother wanted to play it and his Xbox couldn't support it. I let him play at once, and then I decided to just go through the heroes and see what was up and I saw a widow. And she was hot, and I already like widow because of the marvel movies and she's hot there too. Shallow reasons I know but that's the only reason I started playing this game.

I played her and ranked and made it to Plat and that's when I began to see the issues, because at that point people's brain cells started rubbing together and they started thinking about what was happening. So what would happen is that the second I would headshot anyone they would go behind a corner and get healed, and having a mantis on my team usually wasn't enough help because 1: people would not capitalize on the elims I would get and 2: most mantis players in that rank don't even know how to heal properly or dmg boost so 8/10 having a mantis was more a detriment than a benefit. And that's the problem with widow, in low ranks she is too hard to get family with especially when characters like Wanda and squirrel girl exist. And in high ranks people are smart enough to know how to deal with her.

And when I reached celestial anytime there would be a good widow I would switch specifically to counter with her, as did most of my team. This mostly came from the fact that me, and the rest of the player base for that matter viewed widow as F-tier doodoo garbage who you can't lose to. And if you do it says more about you than it does about her. And furthermore what made this problem even worse was that she did not have the versatility to play well into her counters.

Like Daredevil, that motherfucker has diversity to deal with everything. CC immunity: he has it. Deflect: he has it. Mobility: he has it. Sustain: he has it. That is a character who plays well into his counters. He doesn't play perfectly into his counters but he plays well into them and that is something widow couldn't do.

Now, post rework she is actually viable. There's still a few things missing, but overall, she's a lot better. She is so much better now that she gets MVP consistently in games where she is in play, win or lose. She is in fact so good that I was able to pick her in a celestial two lobby getting MVP 57-7 being my stats. And I only have 4 hours on the character.

Now while the rework was good it's still not great, her hard scoping should not have been relegated to just her ult. I will admit it was not a good idea. Here is how I would fix it.

- 1: give her two forms. Sniper/DMR form and baton/melee for

- 2: remove edge dancer from sniper form and replace it with her ads. There is no reason for a sniper form to have such a strong melee ability.

- 3: if I hit lands on an enemy while in ads, each shot deals 85 damage and 170 on criticals. That way she can still two tap the most squishies without being able to two tap 350 HP heroes.

- 4: each shot in ads is going to consume 5 rounds. Meaning you only got four shots.

- 5: widows bite gauntlets become an actual ability that can only be proced if you pery an enemy attack. Like iron fist. Only that instead of getting bonus they should be you get the ability itself. Each attack deals 60 damage.

- 6: new passive. Whenever bite slam or edge dancer is used it applies a stack, it takes 2 stacks to proc and when proced it will deal 25 instant damage and 60 tick damage for 2 seconds

- 7: edge dancer follow up now stuns for 1.2 seconds

I didn't plan for my post to be this long but I saw people were still complaining about the rework so I figured I might as well mix the 2. Feel free to call me a dumbass, cuz I know y'all are not going to like it. The mods might even remove it. Bye 👋

They shadow nerfed gambit team up, use mag team up instead

Before I could dash right in front of the enemy team activate Gambit team up and pop my ult and that would give me enough damage to get at least two picks on squishies. I tried it just yesterday and the damage was so ass I exploded before my ult even ended. Use mage team up, it gives you more survivability and more damage on Southern brawl

Imma be honest, these new team-ups are absolutely based

Both team-ups or solutions to the biggest problems with Emma. Those being: lack of sustain, and lack of utility and diamond form. Assuming that you can still use the Crystal and diamond form together it makes you so much stronger in diamond form with mantis team up. You getting about 250 bonus HP with the 25% damage reduction will just make you an immovable object. This is good. Nice work NetEase

HOT TAKE: Rogue's bread and butter combo is mid at best, trash at worst.

I know everyone here loves the bread and butter combo, it looks good, it feels good, and people will often say it is good. But I am not entirely convinced that it is.

Here's why:

- it requires all of your cooldowns and leaves you out of position half the time.

- it is easily counterable because almost every hero has an escape or iframes to get out of it. Think invis jump, gambit dash, bucky dash, fist block, Star-Lord flip.

- it does too much CC (which I know sounds stupid but hear me out). By the time the combo is done you only have one more CC ability before tenacity is proced. Which means that the opponent is most likely not going to leave the position of where the combo ended. Let's assume you perform the bread and butter combo on an unsuspecting DPS who has no way to escape the combo seeing how most of the displacement is going to come from the dash towards the ground rather than fatal Attraction, he is going to be somewhere in between his tanks and your tanks. Which means any CC ability that you could have used to pull them deeper into your team will now get canceled out by tenacity.

I'm going to pull an alternate scenario. In this one, you just use Southern brawl and your launch up. When you dive down he is going to be in the exact same place as when you did the bread and butter combo but now a Bucky could hook him behind your second tank and he explode. But with the bread and butter combo applying so much CC it removes the possibility of him being pulled further away from his healers, ensuring his safety

That's it. I don't think there is any more I can say, if you want to call me an idiot go ahead. Bye 👋
