Cancel UA flight to receive UA Travel Credit?

I had success a few years ago using my travel credit to book a Jetblue flight on the C1 portal, waiting 24 hours, then cancelling it to receive JB travel credits. Can I do the same with UA?

I see 3 fare types:

  1. Economy: Non-refundable

  2. Economy: Cancel for credit

  3. Economy Fully Refundable: Fully refundable ticket

I'm assuming I should select option #2.

I'm also using my spouses' C1 account and will enter my name and UA # for the booking.

Switching from Verizon Fios to Spectrum Internet

I am currently paying $49.99 per month (taxes and discounts included) for 300 Mbps with Verizon. Although it's not the best speed, it has met our needs. We only use streaming apps and use social media apps during the evenings at weekends. Sometimes I play my Nintendo Switch, but it's never against online players.

What are your thoughts on Spectrum Internet? I see a 500 Mbps 1 year plan for $40. What would that cost after all taxes/fees and router? How is Spectrum's router? I have my own and don't know if I should use theirs. Is it easy to cancel after a year?

WA Orlando Best Room Selection

Which rooms and floors give the best view? I’m able to select a room (Nature Preserve, Golf View, Disney/Pool View) anywhere from the 11th to the 15th floor. I’m leaning towards the highest floor facing Disney to hopefully get a good view of the fireworks.

Hawksmoor NYC - What menu items do you recommend for lunch?

Planning to come here for lunch since we have a $150 gift card (don't mind spending $50-$100 more). We are 2 adults and 1 young child who doesn't eat much.

What are some must have foods you recommend, especially steak that won't break the bank? For the steaks without prices on the menu, how much does each ounce cost?

So far we have the following:

Sides:

  1. Beef fat fries

  2. Mac and cheese

  3. She Wolf sourdough bread (unless they gave complimentary bread)

Main:

  1. $25 burger from the lunch special

  2. Steak but don't know which to get. I read that the rump steak is too tough.

Dessert:

  1. sticky toffee pudding

  2. ______

As for drinks, we rarely drink alcohol, but don't mind getting recommendations if something is really good.

Besides Chinatown and 8th ave, what other vans are there and where do they go?

I’ve seen people get in vans on Kissena and other streets and always wondered where they go.

Cake recommendations

Any good places that sell cake similar to Martha’s Country Bakery? Preferably someplace walking distance from Main St. I like Chinese cake but want something different for a celebration.

Do they now charge you for regular drip coffee? On my most recent sailing a month ago, I saw a price menu for regular coffee. I remember getting them for free on a different sailing 2 years ago.

Edit: regular coffee that you can get from the buffet. Not drip.
