i want to be able to draw using the pen tool and turn my curved likes into straight lines that visually imply a curve in illustrator.

The first image is a piece that I did using the polygon lasso tool in PS and i want to be able to work faster and more efficiently using illustrator.

the second image is an example of what effect I’m looking for.

I know someone posted something similar a while back and they were suggested to use the simply tool but that didn’t create as accurate effect as I was looking for.

tldr: I had a reaction to the plaster adhesive I used to cover my day old back dermals and now I have a really bad swollen rash and I’m worried the skin is healing over the jewelry. It is absolutely not my piercers fault, it was plasters I bought and used, unaware that it would cause me a reaction.

I got my back dermals pierced on wednesday the 5th. I had a conversation with my piercer about how they commonly reject and such, however I am yet to have an issue with any of piercings and all have healed fine.

Alongside the conversation of these generally being “temporary piercings”, we also discussed aftercare such as wearing plasters for at least 3 days.

Unfortunately, when changing my plasters, I had a really bad reaction to the adhesive used and now both piercing sites are incredibly swollen, rashy and were quite painful yesterday, but not so much today.

One of my piercings seems to generally be fine but I think the amount of swelling around the other site has caused the skin to start healing over the jewelry.

I have messaged the piercing boutique who responded with this:

“Hiya, thanks for messaging us, It does look swollen, icing the area and taking ibuprofen will help reduce this swelling, it does appear to be a reaction to patches, I would wash the area with a mild antibacterial soap to keep it clean and icing the area should calm this down for you. I would leave the plasters off the area. Keep us updated, if you are worried you can pop in!”

I also spoke to a pharmacist who recommended me allergen friendly plasters and to continue using piercing spray until it calms down.

After the rash didn’t calm down (it seemed to stay the same or possibly get worse), I spoke to my mum who is a healthcare assistant who recommended putting sudocrem around the site but not actually on the piercing. Along with taking ibuprofen to reduce inflammation and icing the piercing to reduce swelling and inflammation.

I intend to go to the piercing boutique tomorrow and get it checked, I would have done it today or yesterday but unfortunately I had work and it shuts early.

What should I do? I’m mostly scared about the jewelry being healed over or getting an infection from trying too many things at once to make it go down as I know the inflammation will eventually go down. Additionally I’d rather not take the piercing out if possible but I do understand if it’s necessary, especially since I can’t really take it out myself.

it’s quite young and i assume can’t fly. should i leave it alone ? call an animal rescue ? online says to leave it but that seems to be for typically adolescent seagulls not babies.
