Question for the bee community?

I have native plants everywhere. But I grow these orange cosmos as well. Now that the weather is cooling at night, the bees seem to absolutely love sleeping in these cosmos. They tuck themselves in between the petals until the sun warms and then they go on their way.

Does this happen with other plants. I wonder why specifically. They love these cosmos so much

My 7 year old daughter helped me clear a road after a tornado for some neighbors. Here's her report on our work folks

I start off with saying , she's amazing. It was her idea to go out and " rescue people" because dad always has a chainsaw in the truck and she loves helping people.

She helped drag one branch in a gentle mist 20.ft to the roadside Then comes the gold.

"Dad is this really what you do everyday"

Me : yeah most days

" Dad I love you because this sucks"

Well kid that's why dad sounds like bubble wrap and grunts when he gets out of bed

What is the most budget-friendly option for a larger snare for my alesis nitro mesh?

Fairly new to e-drums. I have a nitro mesh kit but I can't stand this baby snare anymore. I want to make sure whatever I get though if it's another brand is compatible. Any recommendations for larger snares and a second bass drum pad for double bass would be much appreciated

We just had a Hills go to Japan moment at our hotel.

For the last 5 days my wife daughter and I have been in a hotel room with a small kitchen. To save money we have been eating out of the room. The cabinets only had 2 glasses and 2 plates. Neither of us thought the lower cabinet was a dishwasher and as we are cleaning to check out we find an entire kitchen set worth of clean dishes in the dishwasher 😂😂😂

Adults over 30 who went from long term stimulants to guanfacine, what did you notice

I'm a 40 year old dad who has been on long-term stimulant medication for 10 years. Vyvanse was great for a long time but I feel like when the shortages happened the companies changed formulation or method or something but it just ended up giving me tons of anxiety and it felt like I was always a squirrel panicking to get ready for winter. I've been off Vyvanse for a month and I'm a few days in to non-stim medication. I'm just wondering things that I can notice to see if the drug is kicking in since it doesn't have the same activator tendency as Vyvanse. Please and thank you and seriously nobody under 30. I love you young people but it's not the same when you have all the energy in the world that comes with youth

Just had my biggest are you serious moment after a storm coming home with my kid .

I saw a big limb dangling from a huge locust tree. An extenilsion ladder up in the tree and my neighbors outside with rope.

I pull up and say hey. I just got out of work. I have my chainsaw. Do you need any help.

This is what he tells me

" The limb came down but was apparently cabled before they bought the house and they didn't know it. (The cabling held in two separate places top and bottom, essentially making some kind of Vietnamese battering ram trap) He was worried about his kids and rightfully so with a Widowmaker dangling like that. He said he wrapped a rope around it and tried to break the cabling torquing it with his truck.

I pulled him to the side as gently as I could and described to him the amount of kinetic energy stored in those cables with 900 lb of log pulling down on it. I as calmly and as gently as I could told him that in 900 lb log on a snapped cable going at mach fuck through the windshield of his truck in front of his wife and child would probably leave some pretty bad family memories.

I used his rope, used the base of the tree to pull it back in towards the main structure and put a couple knots in it that I knew would be frustrating for him to pull out. But honestly I'm trying to protect the man at this point.

I don't know why I felt the need to narrate and share this one, but it gave me the heebie-jeebies
