Just ordered the A55 :D

I’m excited to get a Walkman as this’ll be my first mp3 player, I had a question about it also. How’s the sound for its age? I know it’s a bit counterintuitive as I already bought it but im still curious to others. Aside from downlong mrwalkman firmware what other hacks would you have for this model?

New GPU a faulty unit? or is it something else

I’ve been having a nightmare trying to figure out what is happening but basically I got a 9060XT 16GB & it’s a new amd card I got after years of being with nvidia because I always hear how “ great” this card was for its money and every time I had amd it was issue, when I got my card installed it, started having crashes with 2 of the main games I play, the finals & deadlock, & it’s annoying because I tried reinstalling windows , using ddu, installing only the drivers, everything & it seems like nothing fixes it & it’s so frustrating does anyone have a solution? I feel that the unit may be faulty

Also disabling MPO does nothing

Going back from glass to cloth

So I got the pulsar paracontrol XL mousepad because I always hear nothing but good things about cloth & I was on glass for a couple months, going to cloth again I’m not sure if it’s the skates but it feels rough as hell lmao but part of me is saying its me not used to cloth, I use wallhack universal skates that claim it’s for both glass & cloth, are cloth pads supposed to feel rough?

Explain your iem setup what made you stay with it!

Hey guys! I just wanted to ask what iems you have & what made you stay with your current setup or what are some slight caveats to your setup if there’s any.

I’m currently going through what I think many people go through in the iem hobby, & I’m struggling to find an iem I really like. Over the past 2 years I’ve bought so much but nothing has really left me feeling satisfied. I think because I want a nice looking iem that goes with my desk setup & also sounds great which trying to narrow it down is difficult because many iems can look great but sound like shit vice versa. Just trying to get some insight :)

I need help finding a dac that looks great & does what I need

Okay so I need a dac that has RCA out so I can connect it to my audio interface & id also love for it to have eq too, I’ve looked at the topping dx1 ii but idk if there’s better. My budget max is 200$ USD

I don’t really dabble with dacs I mainly just use my audio interface but I want to be able to eq & also experience better overall audio. Amazon is usually my go to incase I don’t like it & need to return it

Truthear earphones and Fifine mic arm order delivery went completely off the rails

Just wanted to vent about this absolute nightmare of a delivery today. I’ve ordered from Truthear and fifine ton of times and never had an issue, and I was excited to get my shit today. 😂

I get home and the package size looks completely wrong for a boom arm. I check the tracking number, and it matches the Amazon order perfectly. I open it, and instead of my earphones, instead I get two small heavy steel bars and a blackberry apple fruit bar.. what the actual fuck lmao

I am so incredibly annoyed. Because I live in a small town, it takes at least 4 days for things to ship out here. Now I’m stuck waiting on a refund just so I can buy the exact same item again and wait all over again. How does this even happen seriously.

Your IEMs aren’t giving you "wallhacks". it’s literally just the game’s audio engine.

I’m not even sure if I can talk about this inside this subreddit

Without sounding like a “ know it all” I feel like we need to stop gaslighting ourselves into thinking a pricier pair of IEMs is going to magically make us better at the game. I’ve been testing different sets and the "competitive advantage" is mostly just a myth at least for me it was, ive tested from popular 20$-50$ iems to 200$ iems, mostly the ones you can think of; cinear, kefine, moondrop, truthear, kiwi ears, meze alba.

1: You can’t "resolve" audio that isn't there lol
If a game's audio engine is inherently flawed like warzone with notorious occlusion issues, no amount of driver quality can fix that. If the software fails to prioritize a footstep cue during a gunfight, a $500 IEM isn't going to "extract" that sound. You’re just getting a high-fidelity playback of a missing signal

Most modern IEMs, even budget-tier ones, handle directional imaging perfectly fine. The idea that you need to spend hundreds to know if someone is "top-right" is a myth. The only hardware trait that actually changes the experience is soundstage (perceived space), but even that is ultimately capped by the game’s own spatial coding.

2: Beyond a certain price point, you aren't paying for "more info," you’re just paying for a different frequency response. As long as your gear has enough "air" and doesn't have bloated bass masking the mids, you’re hearing exactly what the pros hear. If you’re still getting snuck on, it’s the game’s logic that’s cooked, not your setup

TL;DR: Stop chasing "endgame" specs for a competitive advantage. If the audio engine is mid, your performance is going to be mid regardless of the price tag. Grab a comfortable set with solid tuning and call it a day.

By the way I am not trying to attack anyone nor say I “ know “ more than anyone & I do believe to a certain extent depending on the frequency response, better tuned iems can somewhat give you an advantage compared to really bad tuned iem but, at the end of the day you are obviously more than welcome to buy 1000$ iems, I also just feel like this is something that I’ve struggled with also” trying to find the best iem for gaming “ which I’ve concluded myself that there really isn’t.

Anyway have a great day everyone no hard feelings I just think this is the most interesting topic about gaming iems

So I really like the tekkusai singularity mousepad design & I wanted to get one but unfortunately it’s sold out & the cheapest I’ve seen it in 130 on eBay, is it worth paying that or are there other better mousepads out there I typically like those anime inspired designs

Thank you
