OEM parts were $403 from the Toyota dealer. I installed them myself, took about two hours. 2012 RX350.

No mods. I love the accuracy and reliability. Still my favorite pistol.

My steering suddenly felt very clunky and notchy. Checked the fluid and it was low. I inspected the power steering lines and noticed that the pressure switch was leaking.

It’s a known issue but easy to resolve. It took less than an hour to diagnose, get the part and install it myself. All you need is an 18mm wrench for the switch and a pair of lock jaw pliers for the line side. No more leaks and the steering feels normal again.

When I changed my PCV valve last week with a new OEM part I noticed that the hose has seen better days. It was dry rotted and cracked. It wouldn’t be long before there was a vacuum leak.

I replaced the hose with an OEM part and included the part number for your reference. The hose was $30. This was on a 2012 RX350.

I do all of my own fluid changes. This was the first oil change on the 2012 RX350 that we bought a month ago.

PCV valve change was easy. No issues. But I’m probably gonna change the PCV hose soon as it had a small crack in it on the end that I was able to cut out.

Oil change turned into a mini adventure. When tightening up the lid for the oil filter housing, the threads cracked in half. I wasn’t even close to having it tightened all the way.

I was able to get the broken part out of the filter housing. I called the Toyota dealer and they wanted 62$ for a new housing. But, they had the lid for 9$. which was all I needed. Oil change is complete with no leaks.

I included the part #s in case you need the OEM lid or PCV valve.

The door opens and closes much more smoothly now. Simple 10 minute DIY job. Shocks can be found on Amazon for $20.

The hinge on the original part was broken. I tried to crazy glue it back on and that failed. Found an OEM used replacement ashtray on eBay. The used part is in excellent condition. Easy job, it just snaps right in.

I inspected the leveler when I replaced my bags for the air suspension a few days ago. The arm was stiff and notchy, not very inspiring.

So I decided to replace it. Simple job. Two 13mm bolts and one electrical connector. You can find the part on Amazon for about $33.

188k miles. It’s in great shape. I think I got a good deal.

I’m finally caught up on my suspension restoration. About a month ago a shop handed me a $1300 estimate for new front stabilizer links, air bags and rear shocks. They also wanted to convert the air bags to coils.

I don’t think so. I took my time doing one job per weekend. Total cost of parts was under $200. Huge difference in the ride. Way more stable and grounded.
