Should I repurpose an old account, or start fresh?

I’m looking to start a TikTok and IG account for anime/gaming/travel. I already have old accounts that I used for investing/finance education that have a few followers but little interaction because I stopped using them a good while ago.

Should I just rename these account so I start with at least a tiny following, even though the content is different? Or is it better to start from scratch?

Help deciding between Osaka hotels

I have narrowed down 1 trillion great hotels to 4… but now I’m stuck lol.

It will be 2 people per room. We would like a hotel that’s very close in walking distance to not only the train but also a short trip to bars, restaurants, shops, etc… basically near the liveliness. Room size matters in a sense, but as long as it’s not a literal closet size, I’ll be okay.

The final 4 hotels feel very similar to me, even within price so if anyone could share personal experiences or opinions that would be super helpful so I can finally book 🙂
- Bridge Hotel Shinsaibashi
- Fairfield by Marriott Osaka Namba
- Hotel the Flag Shinsaibashi
- Dotonbori Crystal Exe Hotel

Also… separate, but kind of related? Any recommendations for restaurants in/near Namba or Shinsaibashi that actually take reservations lol?

Calm lowkey bottomless brunch?

I love bottomless brunch, but sometimes I’m not in the mood for loud music, dancing, and party vibes. Sometimes I just wanna drink and eat alot while having a conversation where I don’t have to yell. Im more than fine with music, just not at a deafening level or in a party atmosphere lol.
So Any recommendations for places like that in/near Hyattsville?

What color lips for a formal wedding?

I’m wearing this dress to a formal wedding next weekend which is dark blue with sliver / light blue shimmery trimmings throughout. I’m doing silver/white gold jewelry as well as some with baby blue stones. My heels are a satin light blue.

I don’t wear makeup but I do wear lipstick and never shy from a bright color. I’m really struggling with what color lips to do with this though.

Navy blue? Might be too dark as it’s a summer daytime wedding.
Baby blue? Might not look good on my lips
Neutral? Dark or light? Kinda boring but maybe a dark blue lip lined? Idk.
Something else I didn’t think of?

I recently posted my Tokyo itinerary in r/japantravel and got some helpful feedback that took me back to the drawing board a bit. So before I finalize that and get started on the Osaka part of my trip, I wanted to ask some question to help me out a bit.

  • If we're planning to spend the nights out drinking and at clubs, would it be better to do dinner while still out from the day then go to the hotels to change and go out for the night? Or does it make more sense to go back to the hotel after being done with the day to get ready to go out for dinner and nightlife at once?
    • Do most places required reservations for dinner?
    • What is the typical attire for dinner at restaurants and out at clubs/bars?
    • Since we're gonna TRY to go out mostly every night while we're there, I've been thinking Shibuya or Shinjuku would be the best areas for a hotel, any specific recommendations?
  • As far as just regular everyday attire while sightseeing, are casual anime t-shirts and gym shorts (knee length) fine? I've heard modesty is big there but I also know how hot it is in August so I'm hoping shorts are fine.
  • Any particular landmarks (shrines, tourist spots, or even areas, etc) that are better at night vs the daytime?
  • Any whisky, sake, or wine tasting tours/experiences anyone could recommend?
  • Any official half day (or less) tours or excursions anyone’s done that they strongly recommend?
  • Any areas or stores I should check out for handmade arts/paintings? Looking to add to my walls.
  • I love a high skyline view so I have a ton (probably too many) of options in my itinerary, any help narrowing down which ones I should go to vs those I can cut out?
  • Is Mt Takao doable as just a half day visit from Tokyo? Does it make more sense to book an actual tour/excursion or is it pretty easy to just get a train there and walk around and get some views/fresh air?
  • I'm planning to book a sunset cruise that leaves from Hineda Pier. Is there anything in that area to do (sightseeing, shopping, eating/drinks, fun activities) before or after or cruise to pass time?

Oops this ended up being more questions than I anticipated lol, but even just answering one would helpful. So thanks in advance!

Cinco de mayo

Any recommendations for places to get some strong drinks and at least pretty good tacos on Tuesday? It doesn’t have to be in hyattsville persay, but at least not too far a drive or train ride.

I’m doing this trip with my boyfriend (early 30s) and we’ve both been dying to come to Japan forever since we’re huge anime and gaming fans. I also really love to eat and shop. There’s just SO much here I want to do as you can maybe see by how kinda packed this itinerary is lol. I was initially planning an even 5/5 day split between Tokyo and Osaka, but as I started working on this, I took away one Osaka day and added it to Tokyo lol.

Wednesday August 5^(th)

  • Flight departs at 12:50pm

August 6^(th)

  • Arrival HND at 3:55pm
    • FOOD and exploring near hotel
  • Evening
    • Dinner somewhere in this area
    • Drinks at RIDE (rooftop) or TY Harbor (rooftop)
    • Round 1

August 7^(th)

  • Day
    • Walk around Akihabara
    • Eat at Gyukatsu Motomura
    • Shop at Ameyoko Market
    • Drinks at Game Bar A Button
  • Evening
    • Dinner at ramen Zundou (food) or Ichiran Nishi (food)
    • Reggae/dub club or One Love

August 8^(th)

  • Day
    • Breakfast at Rainbow pancakes or Eggs n Things
    • Shibuya Crossing
    • Yoyogi Park
    • Square Enix
    • 10tow thrifting?
    • Sunset (and food?) at Shibuya Sky or Mag’s Rooftop
  • Evening
    • Walk around/shop at Takeshita Street Square
    • Dinner at Bebu-Ya (all you can eat wagyu) or Tsukada Nojo or Pizza Muramo

    • Dinner if no food on boatride

August 10^(th)

  • Day
    • Mount Takao
  • Evening
    • Activity?
    • Dinner at Soul Food House
    • Bar Centifolia (nightlife) or Ibex Tokyo (club)

August 11^(th)??

  • Day
    • Shinjuku Golen Gai, Shinjuku national garden , Meiji Jingu
    • Tokyo metropolitan building (views)
    • Eat and shop at Le Café V
    • Shopping at Casanova vintage Ginza, Ginza pedestrian paradise, Ginza 6, Uniqlo?
    • Drinks and food Yakitori Alley
  • Evening
    • Dinner and drinks near the hotel

I’m looking for general suggestions on improving my itinerary. Activities or areas that are essentially duplicates I can get rid of? Days that are too packed or days that can maybe fit something else? Day layouts that just don’t make sense? Things I’m missing that I should try to fit in?

And some itinerary specific questions I have:

  • Recommendations on hotels / areas to stay based on this itinerary? Was leaning towards Shibuya/Shinjuku/Harajuku?
  • Any whisky, sake, or wine tasting tours/experiences anyone could recommend? And where I could fit it in?
  • Do I have too many stops at high rise buildings for views? If so, recommendations on which can stay or go? I do really like a nice rooftop view though lol
  • How/when can I fit the following in my itinerary (or if I even should)?
    • TeamLab Planets, Tokyo Joypolis, Nakano Broadway, Bandai Namco store
  • Any official half day (or less) tours or excursions anyone’s done that they recommend?

Thanks for any and all advice/criticism in advance.
