Would anyone have personal experience with this particular shed? Would be used for tool and garden storage.

I was planning a build in a near exact style but I'm severely overwhelmed already with house projects and work in general. Also with Winter right around the corner I'd need this to be up in less than a month. Additionally I wouldn't be approved a building permit though my town due to setback issues so really would want a shed that can be dismantled if or when needed. It's common in my town for sheds and such to just be dismantled prior to sale due to permits not being pulled. My neighbour is fine with the build and I won't have issues though him which is the most important.

The shed would be build on a raised platform due to severely unlevelled and non removable rocky ground.

How would you finish this off this mistake.

Decided on 1x4 inch trim throughout the house. Finish the majority of the room and did this window last, realizing then that it overhangs the window stool. My first thought was to cut everything back and continue the trim straight down to the floor, but I’m going to have issues with the pipe work on the baseboard heating. Any suggestions?

First time ordering from Q36.5. Very pleased.

I always like to try out new companies when they archive sales. Took advantage to pick up a fall jersey and a light winter. Love the print designs! Arrived in a weeks time from order shipped from Italy to the States

Looking for flooring/pad ideas. I have 30+ year old Berber carpet in my basement. Was advised just to put two 4x6 rubber pads on top

I’m having the Hudson Steel Miami Super gym C5 delivered in a week. Was so focused on finding a rig that I didn’t plan flooring and honestly didn’t think I’d settle on a decision so soon. My wife doesn’t want to rip up the carpet (even for 30+ years old it’s in really good shape and clean) and I also don’t have time to get flooring fully installed prior to delivery. What’s the best option asI can’t see this machine being easy to move once constructed.

I’m an idiot, can anyone tell me what part I need? DT Swiss F232 ONE fork

Snapped off the tiny f**kin compression adjustment screw from my fork today with like zero force applied. Links to what ever I need would be a god send.

What's in your home gym? Limited space but looking for suggestions to fit in alongside my Wahoo Kickr. Looking to increase overall strength for personal KOM's

My space is limited, including a ceiling height of 85” but I’m considering adding a wall mounted cable based system such as the Torque Wall Mounted F9 (blue tape on floor marks width of F9). I’d love to add the Rep Altitude power rack with the Smith Machine and Cable attachment instead but concerned that my space is too limited for it. Anything wall mounted in the photos can moved but no further space options are available from what’s seen here. Considered the Tonal 1 due to space but not keen on the subscription fee of $60 monthly.

Considering that I have 3 kids, who are still young (6-11), but all play Lacrosse, MTB and Ski are interested in strength training to some extent but I'm assuming as they age this interest will increase, a wife who mainly does HiTT and plays pickleball and myself who wants leg gains and lean muscle gains overall what’s my best option here?

Budget overall I’d like to see capped around $3500 but can go up to $4k.

Help me build a travel setup please [$250]

I’m looking for an espresso/brew travel setup that will be used on 4x trips per year on average. Travel will include international but no camping. Ideally needs to be strong but also small enough to pack into luggage I’ll be looking to provide coffee for my wife and I. I typically will have an espresso, occasionally a long black and she drinks longs

Suggestions n new front door color?

The red is our current door color. It’s in need of repainting and I’m debating on what color we should go with. The house is a late 70’s contemporary with cedar siding and were surrounded by trees on an acre lot. I’m not looking for a splash of color but something happy and bright would be welcomed although I’m leaning towards subtle and sophisticated.

Open to suggestions and welcome any advice.

Side note: I’m color blind and tend to have problems picking up certain shades.

Grinder suggestions needed. Budget [$1500] height restriction of 16.75”

I’m looking to upgrade from my specialita mignon. I’d ideally like to stay with a hopper and was originally considering the Eureka Atom 65 w or the Mazzer Philos but with my morning routine a single dose would get old fast and the 65 W comes in .25” too tall for my space. I also need a machine that won’t wake the dead as my young kids are usually still asleep when I’m up and making my first cup.

I just came across the Eureka Atom Touch 65
but unsure if this would be a worthwhile upgrade or if there are any other suggestions?

2020 XC90 factory folding hitch removal. Has anyone diy’d this before?

I need to upgrade my tongue weight capacity so my much loved folding hitch has to go. My question though is regarding the wiring and programming.

My plan is to replace this with the Stealth hitch and their standard 4 pin harness. Any chance that I can use the current factory wiring that my folding hitch has already, which is programmed in already or does this all have to be removed?

Additionally if it all has to be removed and replaced will I need Volvo to deactivate any software or will the car just realize that it’s no longer installed?

Fell in deeper then anticipated on this job. Over my head skill set wise. Any advise?

This job was originally just supposed to just be vertical stone repair due to a few that had fallen off and a few that were loose. Once I got into it I found that a good amount of mortar had failed so I set about cleaning that up and resetting the stone work. That all went well.

The issue that I need help with is how do I cleanly replace the joint mortar? The existing mortar (client just asked for repair, not full replacement) is a very finely ground mix. Originally I went with an s type mortar mix but it looks far too gravelly compared to what’s in place. I then tried a non sanded and that was just wrong as well. The photo included is of the mix that I’m trying to match consistently wise as well as my attempt with the s type. I’m pretty confident you’ll be able to tell which is which.

Additionally, for love or money I cannot figure out how this curve was filled and perfected. Every attempt I made on the curves that needed filling, mortar fell out and would not hold in place. How in the world is this achieved? No amount on searching on YouTube is helping me out.

Did I over quote? Full Ipe deck referb down to bare wood.

Approximately 1300-1500sf total of decking, (double the length behind me). This isn’t my first full deck refurbishment but definitely the largest. Quote included stripping the Ipe down to bare wood, removing the 15 years of semi solid stain that’s not been touched in 6 years, stripping down the seating areas, wood repair on a few of the backs, 2 sets of 8’ stair treads and transitions with 8 steps each, joist stripping from upstairs balcony and repainting, full sanding of all banisters and railings and finally full refinish with Cutex Extreme oil finish and Ben Moore for the white woodwork.

Including materials and 40 - 50 hrs estimated just for sanding and 2-3 weeks total work, weather dependent, my quote came to $14,950.

Neighbors continue to drive like a**holes on our cul-de-sac

We moved into our cul-de-sac about five years ago and have had ongoing issues with one family from the start. There are only seven houses on the road. We tried multiple times to introduce ourselves when we first moved in, but they clearly wanted nothing to do with us despite us being friendly. The rest of the neighborhood has been great.

The main issue has always been speeding. Once our kids started using the bus stop regularly, we noticed the family driving aggressively and at excessive speeds past adults and children without slowing down or moving over. After several incidents, I politely introduced myself by ringing their doorbell and asked them to be more careful. Things improved briefly, then returned to normal.

The worst incident up to that point happened when the wife drove up the street at what I’d estimate was 40 mph and passed within a couple feet of my 3-year-old while we were walking to the bus stop. I had to physically pull him back to avoid him potentially being hit. I filed a police complaint, we’re in a small town and I was still trying to keep things pleasant so I asked that the police only speak with them informally.

A few months later, the husband sped around the corner past me and my child again at close range. I sent him a direct text telling him to slow down. He responded by pulling up outside my house yelling insults and threats in front of my children, including homophobic slurs. I caught most of it on Ring camera and phone video. At one point he told me that if I “knew what was best,” I’d keep my kids off the road. He realize his mistake at this point and went and snaked off inside of his house. His driving improved somewhat from that point forward, even though he still consistently drives a little bit too fast past us and stares at me as he does so.

Since then, the wife has mostly improved, the husband somewhat, but now the teenage son, daughter, and their friends frequently speed up and down the road as well. I recently had another near accident with one of their friends while pulling out of my driveway to where they almost hit me.

At this point it feels like the entire situation has become a joke to them. We have seven young children on this road, including my three, and I’m trying to figure out the best way to handle this without becoming the neighbor constantly calling the police. I’ve documented incidents where possible, but I’d appreciate advice on what I should realistically be doing at this stage regarding documentation, reporting, or other options to get this behavior to stop. The neighbors directly adjacent to them had years of issues with them prior to us moving in, including one instance where they almost hit their daughter who was eight years old at the time. They’ve just thrown their hands up and realized that this is a family that’s unwilling to change.

Additionally this isn’t a situation where the police can continuously monitor the road, the road layout as well wouldn’t give them anywhere to park and “hide”.

It was one of the few books that I’ve been so engrossed with that I easily read 50 or more pages in one go. The context was enthralling and the writing style and character depiction was very easy to follow as well.

As a comparison I had finished Half Blood Blues by Esi Edugyan prior and found the story very interesting but the dialect and slang in which it some of the characters spoke incorrectly hard to follow easily.

Any other suggestions that would fit the flow of Ishmelle?
