My car died on me and I have been without one for about a year which is fine since I work from home and I use my girlfriends car when she comes home from work. Got a jury summons and the court house is 45 miles away. Already got this postponed once. How do I go about this?

I don't want to be in contempt of court and potentially get jailed, but I have legitimately no transportation to get to the court house for that distance. None of the buses go that far and an uber up there and back would be like $100 a day. Not sure what to do.

What's the legitimate solution to the homeless problem in some of our more dense cities like LA? It doesn't seem like current policy or funding is working and it's a huge talking point against us as a party by right wingers.

I genuinely don't know how to fix the issue. It seems like an issue that may need federal guidance on so that we have national solutions on this matter, but I genuinely have no clue how places like LA still have this issue after the mountains of money has been poured into fixing this issue there. It does seem like besides the mishandling of crime legislation that this is one of the spot on criticisms on policy mismanagement and tax mismanagement.

A common thing I see in this sub reddit and in most democrat subs is this war between moderates and democratic socialists/progressives. Here's the thing all of this is just labels. At the end of the day what I think we will see in mid terms is people want someone who addresses their problems.

I don't think whether someone is a moderate who takes corporate money or a far leftist who hates billionaires the people in America struggling at their core want someone to address housing, inflation, groceries, gas, income inequality, etc. That should be the core message regardless of who the politician is running. I think what moderates and progressives have to do is simply cut the labels and let the policy and the actions speak. Because once you start getting into labels like democratic socialist or progressive it gives people ammo on you without even hearing your policy prescriptions.

The thing people keep missing with bringing up Boots got rocked is that in order to rock him you have to eat vicious combinations first and catch him while he's finishing them. Not many guys at 54 are eating the combos or body shots Zayas ate last night.

I keep seeing people talk about Fundora or Ortiz's power, but I don't see either of those guys in the pocket handling that hand speed and power before catching Boots. This reminds me of when Crawford got caught by Gamboa and everyone thought punchers would be able to get him out of there. Boots imo also knows the danger of those exchanges and likely won't switch to southpaw as much where he gets caught a lot.

I saw a post on the Elonmusk subreddit where Elon is now backing up white replacement theory nonsense among other crazy stuff. I'm looking at these influencers like Marques Brownlee among other minority influencers who make Tesla content and shake my head. This is the guy you're doing content for?

Listen I get Tesla reviews and content brings in views, but as a black man I cannot support this dudes businesses anymore. When you start getting into white supremacist rhetoric whether he means to or not or even knows wtf he's insinuating I just can't do it. That's me as a nobody. Multi millionaire content creators can take a bigger stand and just not make Tesla content and buy other EV's.

Are you shocked Never Gone got the mixed to negative reviews it did for its time? Listening to the record even today I think it's probably their best album they've ever done. So many great b tracks on there and this is probably the best vocally they've ever sounded.

I can see at the time watching a boy band go from poppy records to more up tempo guitar led pop rock songs can be jarring, but I think the production is done so well and the records they did choose lended itself to the pop records that were getting produced at that time. I think besides DNA which captured the sound of modern pop sound 7 years ago, that record is really their last record that you can say captured the modern pop sound when it was relevant. I just think it's their most mature work as a band and there's so many songs on there that I truly love. Incomplete, Crawling Back to You, Poster Girl, Lose it All, Climbing the Walls, I still, Siberia, and personally the song I want to walk my bride down the aisle with, Safest Place to Hide. I just think that album deserves some retrospect from critics.

If you're looking for an outstanding mini series then I can't recommend Escape at Dannemora enough. Outstanding direction from Ben Stiller and powerhouse performances from Patricia Arquette, Paul Dano and Benecio Del Toro.

Finished my second watch of this masterpiece and man from beginning to end this show had me hooked just like the first time. The characters are what make this show so good. Each one is super complex and the two inmates are heartbreaking characters. Richard Matt in a different life would be a great artist or graphic designer instead of a ruthless murderer. David Sweat could've been a brilliant engineer or if he applied himself, a great academic. I love how they showcased both sides of the coin and how much they manipulated a clearly mentally unwell woman so you get Patricia Arquette's perspective on why she did what she did.

Also Ben Stiller proves with this show and later with Severance that he might be one of the best cereal directors in Hollywood. There's so many breathtaking sequences in this show and the last act is the cherry on top.

Recently a few months ago lost my pup and best friend and after doing some research saw that Cavaliers are some of the easiest to train dogs and loyal dogs. Seems like the only downside is the heart conditions they come with. How have you guys dealt with this and is it expensive to upkeep?

After months of depression on losing my little fella I feel like I can muster up the will to get another little buddy. Been really drawn to the Cavaliers both due to how playful and loyal they seem to be and how easy they are to train from videos and meeting owners in real life. My question is how easy is it to keep them healthy with regards to their heart issues? I have pet insurance and enough money in case of emergencies so I'm not too worried about the costs just don't want to buy into a breed where they suffer too much after watching my little fella suffer the last few years of his life.

I don't rate Jurassic World: Rebirth that highly, but the fact Gareth Edwards storyboarded, shot, handled the post production on that movie all in under a year is astonishing to me that it looks that good. Does anyone know how they were able to pull that off?

Say what you want about the movie's quality as a movie, but I'm stunned the movie looks that epic in scope and the CGI is that good for a movie that basically was shot, edited, and mixed in under a year from the time the cameras rolled. How were they able to do this do you think? Did they have basically the entire movie pre-vised and the storyboards laid out and they basically hired Gareth Edwards in name only to ghost direct the movie or is he just that good? Does anyone have interviews with Edwards stating how he was able to accomplish this?

Bull Durham is not only the best baseball movie ever made, but it's one of the more heartbreaking movies of all time. Crash loves baseball more than anything in the world but in the end he keeps finding out the game doesn't love him back.

As a die hard baseball fan the thing I love most about this movie is that the Kevin Costner character is so full of shit with his philosophies about baseball and his cup of coffee in the show, but he genuinely loves the game. He goes city to city taking shitty paying gigs for the hope he can break into the show again. But he's in his early to mid 30s and he's not talented at all. The value he brings to the game is through wisdom and knowledge.

He leads and guides Nuke to harnessing his talent and in the end it eats at him. He gets jealous because Nuke doesn't love or respect the game like he does, but him helping Nuke harness his talent is getting him to the show and now that's gonna get him cut and looking for another minor league gig. It's a harsh movie about the lows of being a journeyman minor league baseball player in the 70s and 80s.

This Iran situation either shows US voters are incredibly stupid or incredibly uneducated. The deal Trump has cut should absolutely make democrats, independents, and die hard conservatives incensed but nothing will change with the status quo.

There's no concrete agreement for non nuclearation, it russseructs the Iranian economy, they get $300 billion to rebuild their infrastructure, they get billions more unfrozen assets, the same regime exists there now, and it didn't weaken Iran in any of the proxy wars with our allies. Trump literally strengthens the Iranian regime's power there and all he did for months was allow oil prices to go haywire and the American people paid oiutt the butt for this BS and we've entered in an even worse than the one Obama cut.

Republicans from the the very top at Fox New and elected officials to the most loyal right winger should be appalled by this. But they won't Mid terms won't change how these people vote, then in 2028 they'll continue voting right wing.

Why are people pretending stay at home moms have this back breaking job? I don't see what LeBron said that was that crazy. Multi millionaires despite what redpill niggas and trash female podcasters want young men and women to believe don't want women who leech off of them or do nothing.

I get there's stay at home moms who cook, clean, take care of kids, etc. But if we're gonna keep it stack how many of us have a homeboy with a wife. at home that's hanging out with her friends while the kids are at school or watching her soap operas and streaming until the kids are ready to be picked up? Cooking, cleaning, etc aint a full time job. I give them 100 percent credit when the child is a baby to a around 5 or 6, but once that kid goes to school life gets 110 percent easier for the stay at home parent not just mom cause there's stay at home dads as well.

If money wasn't an issue what's one spot in FL you'd live in? For me it would be Jupiter or Palm Beach Gardens. You're right next to beaches, amazing activities, the turnpike, A1A, 95, close to 3 airports, various downtowns, great food options, etc.

Watching through Mo Betta Blues and man Hollywood really underutilized Wesley Snipes in his prime. This is the only guy I've ever seen on screen go bar for bar with Denzel and outshines him in every scene in terms of acting and charisma.

Wesley obviously got major roles and some great leading man chances, but man I truly believe if he was pushed in more drama he would've been remembered as one of the best actors ever. It's a shame he had hid tax problems and had to do a bunch of straight to DVD stuff after blade 3. His work with Spike Lee and the early to mid 90s proves he was a Denzel level talent.

Emanny and people that agree with him on the Down syndrome abortion thing are wrong. When you're taking care of a special needs child that's a life long commitment. There's people in their 70s and 80s still taking care of 50 year old grown men and women.

I'm 110 percent for these type of abortions if the parent know they cannot handle raising these kids. It's a full time job and you have to know what you're doing and you have to dedicate your entire life to it. Before my cousin died who was mentally impaired my uncle dedicated most of his adult life to taking care of her. Feeding her, making sure to turn her in bed so she didn't get bed sores, changing her if she had accidents, etc. When she passed away in her 40s my uncle and aunt after her funeral were devastated but at the same time in their 70s that was the first time they had a full nights sleep in 45 years.

If Spencer Pratt becomes mayor in LA is that the breaking point where the core leadership in the Democratic Party smartens up and realizes that they need to start breeding younger, ambitious political minds to take over? Some of the stuff this dude is saying sounds utterly disastrous for LA.

The sad part about what's happening in LA is that you can't really dispute the issues they're bringing up. Crime is an issue, homelessness is an issue, unaffordability, rising costs, traffic, etc is an issue. But man for it to get to a point where even life long dems are \thinking about voting for a dude who blew $10 million like it was nothing and has zero political background or logical plans should be a wake up call.

I keep seeing colleges claim NIL and the portal is hurting not just football but college athletics in general. But I never see them say paying coaches and staffs 10s of millions of dollars and athletic directors millions and paying out $60+ million buyouts are bad for college athletics. Why?

The coaches, universities, and the NCAA literally could've solved this issue 10+ years ago by allowing the players across the board to get a piece of the revenue that comes into the NCAA and that would've given players a stipend. The courts rightfully ruled the current situation in the NCAA was unconstitutional and the NCAA screwed themselves and they have this mess now. They have to lay in it and if coaches can leave schools with $70 million buy outs and have them and their staff making close to $15+ million a a year at the high end then I don't see how the kids making what they make in NIL is any worse than that.

I'm playing 007 at the moment, which btw is awesome, and the comparisons people have done with RDR got me curious so I fired it back up. It's astonishing how advanced RDR is even today.

Like the facial animations, physics, gameplay, open world, etc is literally better done than 98 percent of games today. Outside of a few games like 007, I really feel like there hasn't been many AAA games even in this next generation that's on par with that game even now. Idk if it's because Rockstar has like a thousand devs at a time working on these games but they're unmatched.

Just want to give some advice, never, ever buy from any door to door sales people, especially solar sales people. My aunt nearly got duped into a 25 year solar loan and when I researched the company nothing but horrific things came up. If you're going solar contact your energy company or research.

I have no clue if Solar is legit or not, but door to door sales guys are the scummiest and least ethicl people you're going to meet, especially solar sales people. Often times they're not really working in solar, but are working to unload a $40k+ loan onto you that just so happens to vessels through solar. The supposed company that was " pitching" their solar panels to my aunt has class action lawsuits, news segments about them, etc.
