This is my first time applying lighting into a miniature.
I'm asking for any tips I should know to make future models better (disclaimer: I didn't originally intend to have the model glow, I added it after it was technically done)
Every time I talk to mutuals and they start talking about their interests, I want to bring up comics so badly but I know deep down they won't care or engage as enthusiastically as I do.
I feel similarly to when I discuss writing and storytelling to other people and leaving the conversation disappointed when they aren't as interested in certain aspects of the topic.
Even worse when I'm around whilst they discuss something popular or mainstream and it just feels like I belong less and less.
I've tried to seek out more just like me but I just can't seem to find them where I live so I may just accept the fact I'll be on my own on this one.

Using some spray can caps covered by tissue for the ground they stand on with the background being my laptop.

I'm an ork player dipping my toes into space marines
I started a white scars army specifically to hunt my greentide, the lore I've made is that they were "hired" by an inquisitor to retrieve escaped ork labrats
I think to tie this army all together is some imperial agents, either as rivals who want the paycheck and glory, or covert operatives
She's a lot more skilled and accomplished than I can ever hope to be, she's surrounded by more friends than I've ever had, and I'm starting to feel like I'm lagging behind in all senses.
Normally I wouldn't care, but i don't think I can hold up the act anymore, I love her but I do wish I could be even half as great as her.

I've never hated myself even more
I pushed my oldest friends away for reasons that would have been totally avoidable if I just believed people cared
Now I'm just very lost on what to do
At first I wanted to be a better person and had that drive to get back up but as time went on it feels more hopeless
So what if they forgave me for pushing them away, I still shouldn't deserve to be friends with them again and it kinda pushed me into this cycle of self hate that just gets stronger the more I try to climb out
I am my own worse enemy and that the more I try to fight myself I just fuel my own hate for myself
