We received reports that on 4/29, Metro Nashville Police Department ran cover for an ICE operation to remove a man from his home🚨👀
After responding to a call at the location, MNPD officers formed a perimeter around ICE agents. MNPD’s perimeter prevented community observers from documenting ICE activity and verifying the legality of the arrest.
Although MNPD claims they were only trying to keep the peace, the result was indistinguishable from helping ICE operate in our community. On May 9th, join a broad coalition of Nashvillians at the MNPD headquarters, where we will demand that our city government never make it easier for ICE, nor harder for community observers.

America is at an unprecedented crossroads. The MAGA regime is in the midst of trying to whitewash our past so they can whitewash our future. We can see this in their attempts to not just erase the history of enslavement and genocide, but roll back hard-won civil rights victories. We refuse to comply. While they plan a whitewashed celebration of the 250th, we’re inviting Americans of all stripes on June 27th to provide an affirmative, positive counternarrative and demand equality over erasure.
