is the eurostep bourgeois decadence ?
in my opinion being in favor of an armed revolution against oppression and being offended by the principle of the eurostep is a 100% consistent position. Thoughts on this?
tf was up with those DPRK kidnappings in the 80s (question)
never really learned about these until now is this propaganda or not since the DPRK did apologise for it but these claims were also pushed by far right nationalists like Shinzo Abe.
Does anyone have some more clarity on this?
Outlawing the worship of a man who genocided your people (Elder Scrolls)
How justifiable is it for the Altmer to demand the outlaw of Talos worship since he also genocided their people with a giant machine. Especially since some altmer are old enough to remember it happening.
What is the ML position to take during the Skyrim civil war?
Basketball is the working man’s sport
The NBA is a perfect example of the basic marxist principle that labor creates value
The players are the ones who train day and night, compete, risk injury, and generate billions in revenue. They put their bodies on the line every night while team owners profit from ownership.
A player can spend YEARS building a franchise only to just be traded across the country overnight with little say in the matter because in the end the ownership controls the workplace.
People get distracted by the fact that NBA players are highly paid, but a worker is still a worker if they must sell their labor power to survive. The contradiction still remains that labor produces ownership profits.
Something that’s interesting about NBA players is that they have one of the strongest unions in the united. Many of their gains like higher salaries, benefits, revenue sharing and workplace protections came through collective struggle from one of the largest unions in the US (NBPA) not through the generosity of the owners.
And when a player’s body breaks down many are quickly replaced by younger cheaper labor profiting of off their labour.
Ticket prices are another thing. The working class creates the spectacle and the working class fills the arenas and supports the organisation yet many ordinary fans are increasingly priced out of attending games.
A product created by labor becomes a luxury commodity sold back to the people at higher prices this is something you can see with most peoples hobbies these days think of a logan paul increasing the price of peoples hobbies like pokemon.
Anyways this all so owners can maximize profit making NBA games a modern day colosseum for the rich where they can watch the labourers compete and put their bodies on the line.

“Civilize the mind and make savage the body” go to the gym.
One thing I’ve always found funny is how many people love talking about discipline, sacrifice, struggle, and changing society yet they completely neglect their own physical condition.
A lot of revolutionaries would agree with me here.
Mao wrote extensively about physical training and self-discipline (read “a study of physical education).
Lenin supported physical culture and sport. Ho Chi Minh said that every citizen that is weak makes the whole country weak.
The point isn’t to be mr olympia the point is that developing capable, resilient human beings is ideal for our cause.
You don’t have to be an olympic athlete. But if you spend hours discussing online talking about a revolution while getting winded climbing a flight of stairs there’s an obvious contradiction there.
Reading theory is good. So is political education. But self improvement shouldn’t stop there.
If you can dedicate time to arguing online, you can dedicate time to lifting, swimming, or doing something that improves your health and strengthens your body.
A healthy body, self-discipline, and the ability to push yourself through discomfort are qualities worth developing regardless of your politics and unfortunately i think in the "culture war" aspect the right has won that.
Strong mind and a strong body these things will make a optimal revolutionair.
(also hope i dont have to mention this but im not talking about people who are physically incapable of doing so).
Worrying development of fascism in the UK as Hasan Piker has had his visa revoked after concerns from Pro-Israel organisations.
How many of you support accelerationism in the US? (lowkey wall of text)
Not from the US, but I follow its political development pretty closely (or decline as you could call it) as i find it very interesting.
I’ve noticed a lot of people in this sub seem opposed to even modest reforms like policies that would actually improve people’s material conditions under capitalism. The argument I keep seeing is that things need to get significantly worse before any real revolutionary moment becomes possible and that supporting socdems or reformist candidates just “props up” the system and delays that.
Genuinely trying to understand this; how many people here actually hold an accelerationist view where worsening conditions are seen as necessary or even desirable for a socialist revolution?
The way i see it Lenin in The state and revolution argues that reforms under capitalism don’t remove exploitation or change the class nature of the state (which is true), but they can still produce real improvements in workers lives. His criticism is aimed at treating reforms as the final goal and not at the idea that fighting for reforms is pointless.
This also cuts against an accelerationist reading.
Lenin does not argue that worsening conditions are something communists should seek out or passively wait for.
In What is to be done he talks about active political work and flat out rejects the idea that socialist consciousness emerges automatically from hardship.
“The history of all countries shows that the working class, exclusively by its own effort, is able to develop only trade union consciousness.”
The point being is that suffering alone does not generate revolutionary politics organisation and theory are required for that
Lenin also distinguishes between crises of capitalism and revolutionary situations.
In Left wing communism an infantiledisorder he stresses that even severe crises do not automatically produce successful revolutions unless political organisation and leadership exist and as we (at least i assume) all hold Marxist Leninist thought here why is it that a lot of people here hold such views that can only really be viewed as accelerationist?
such an amazing kit my first real grade, kinda upset that they don’t have waterslides apparently but it is what it is. other than that 10/10 kit it’s dope.
