Although I use this phrase and understand its meaning, I could not find the etymology of the word "talo."

For example, in an episode of Imbestigador from way back, the NBI and PNP were caught in a crossfire, and one of them said, "Hindi tayo talo, brad," meaning that they were on the same team.

I know that "talo" means "to lose" and is the antonym of "panalo," but what does "talo" mean when it is used to say that we are on the same side? Could we also use the phrase similar to the expression "preaching to the choir"?

I'm still on Season 1, but one thing I've noticed that sets this show apart from House M.D. is how much Patrick Jane's team trusts him. They may not always like his methods or the way he crosses boundaries, but they usually believe he knows what he's doing and that he's onto something.

In House, on the other hand, it feels like even by Season 8, his team still doubts him despite everything he's accomplished.

Would the CBI distrust Jane in the further seasons?

Although Kinley's body roamed for several days, the fact that his life was ended in Linda's place makes me wonder if she would find out off screen. And there were no professional clean up crew so a trace of blood would be there, right.

I was thinking about how many major cash windfalls the Gallaghers got throughout Shameless, only to lose them through greed, theft, addiction, or terrible decisions.

Here's what I came up with:

• Lip losing the developer's offer for the Gallagher house: $200,000
• Frank blowing his injury settlement: $100,000
• Monica's meth inheritance being squandered: ~$70,000
• Fiona leaving the family $50,000, which Debbie mismanaged.
• Lip giving Xan's mom: $10,000
• Monica stealing the Squirrel Fund: $10,000

Total: ~$440,000.

I didn't include things like Fiona's business losses or Carl walking away from drug money because those feel like different categories (business risks or choosing to leave a criminal life). I'm mainly counting major lump sums the family actually had (or realistically had in hand) and then lost.

Am I missing any other major windfalls or financial losses that fit this category?

I just watched Episode 1 of Season 11. Tami mentions that she had COVID (implied), and I wonder if she got it because of Lip.

There’s a scene where Lip casually grap a coffee cup from someone else's without knowing who used it. Considering how careless he was throughout that period, it seems possible that he could have brought the virus home and passed it on to Tami.
