Hi everyone. I have a friend who unfortunately is homeless. (No I cannot bring him into my home it is not an option unfortunately)

Anyways. He is out of food. Today's Sunday and a lot of places are closed. I'm trying to Google and call around, does anyone have a list of places that help with pantry food? Unfortunately he doesn't have anywhere to cook so it's very limited what he can use from food banks.

Literally any suggestions would be helpful right now.

Any recommendations for emergency help for dog kibble?

I definitely had enough, until Friday, however my daughter decided to dump water 😭😭 it was an accident but totally not cool right now.

Just need a small 14$ bag from Walmart but cannot afford it till Friday. Any recommendations of where to get help? Somewhere local to bowmanville?

My friends fridge and freezer broke over the weekend. They lost absolutely everything they had in it.

They got a new fridge/freezer thankfully. But they will not have enough food to last them the month. They have gone to food banks etc and still they have enough for maybe a week.

Will ODSP have anything they can help with? Like emergency funds for food?

I'm not sure where to start this.

Two days ago I had an appointment booked with the online platform TIA HEALTH. It was for my 8 year old daughter for an infection. I've used the platform multiple times with no issues.

This physician was ok in the beginning. He addressed my concerns with her infection, figured out the antibiotic needed etc.

I then had a couple of questions for the physician, my daughter was sitting beside me on the couch. She was out of frame during this period of time.

Once I finished asking the questions the doctor asked if my daughter (WHOS 8) is sexually active, birth control etc. I thought it was a misunderstanding at first so I clarified she was 8 years old.

The physician then makes 3 crude remarks about me (I will save the details) and proceeds to expose his genitalia on camera.

At this point I turned the phone away from my daughter (who's still sitting beside me, just out of frame on the video call) and hung up the call.

I have filed a complaint with the college of physicians, and have emailed TIA health, I have also filed a police report, however they seemed less than interested in investigating this 🥴

I'm not sure what else to do here. Is there anything else I'm missing that I can take action on?

I am travelling 4 hours away to finally face my abuser in court. (That's where court is held. Can't do anything about it).

The government covers a portion of my hotel, free breakfast, 7$ for lunch* and 11$ for dinner.

I am OUT OF POCKET for anything over that.

I'm so friggen angry. I'm beyond retraumatized.

I didn't realize justice costs the victim this much

14 days. I have 14 days before I face my historic SA abuser in court during trial. He's facing 35 different charges. We are going to superior court of justice in Ontario. I finished court prep. Yes I am in contact with VWAP but I wanted real responses not robotic answers they're trained to say to victims kinda thing. Hope this is okay.

What am I expecting during the trial?

What is it like to be cross examined?

Am I allowed to take breaks if I need?

How long does it take to get a judgement?

What does a day during trial look like?

Will I be judged for being emotional?
