where's a good vacuum pump for AC? how much CFM do you really need?

Well, my AC is busted, so I need to replace the condensor. But I hesitate to use one of those loaner tools at the auto parts stores, because they are abused and they only get like 2-3 CFM. I've read you need at least 5 CFM for a proper job. So, I'm wondering where to get a 5 CFM vacuum pump? The harbor freight pump is a little too pricey for me, especially for a one use tool. Maybe I might do an AC job years from now, IDK. But still.

main breaker tripped, what could have caused this?

Like, I get that it was overloaded by the AC. But I don't understand why the AFCI breakers didn't trip first? Anyone theories welcome.

deskless mouse

Is there such a thing as a mouse that operates without the need for a flat surface? Like, you'd hold a trigger or button and it would manipulate the mouse cursor on screen.

How to adjust valve lash for performance/reliability?

5SFE engine is the one I'm doing right now, but the question is more general in nature.

Intake clearance is: .0007" to .0011" exhaust: .011" to .015"

Is optimal clearance in the direct middle like .0009"? Or is .0007" for performance and .0011" reliability? or what?

chutzpathetic

The only purpose or value they see in the United States of America is as a human resource pool to serve zionist interests. The US has treated Jews more favorable than any other nation in history, we saved them from all the alleged horrors they endured during WW2, and this is how they thank us.

is there a good manual about electrical systems/wiring?

There's HAYNES 10420 but that was written in 1990. I mean, I'm sure some of the stuff is everygreen, but I need something a little more up to date than that.

is it necessary to double coat stain?

The color is right, but I'm concerned about maintaining the surface color after taking severe abuse.

Also, is it necessary to sand between coats? Sometimes I find that it is, depending on the type of stain.

Mostly in the context of staining a floor.

All theories and recommendations welcome.

THOT patrolled

This should be a thing, subscribing onlyfans whores and asking this. Of course, the sick thing is that there are plenty who actually are that cucked.

which is better for engine wire harness repair: soldering or crimps?

I'm hearing crimps are better, but to me that only seems like a temporary fix if you're on the side of the road. The main thing people point to saying it's better than soldering, is that soldering can get moisture in and hold it in ruining the joint, but this won't happen if you properly heat shrink the wire.

The other thing people point to is the heat stiffens the wires making them more delicate. But again, with skill and a good iron it won't stiffen the wires.

Maybe it's just because I've only used the clamps they have on wire strippers? But I don't see how you'd get a better connection with ratcheting crimper?

rebuilding an EJ253

What would you do to it?

What types/brand of pistons/rods would you use?

Would you change the crank or cams?

Harmonic balancer?

3 angle valves?

What method of increasing the compression ratio would you use?

What type of clutch? flywheel?

What gaskets would you use?

Not really interested in putting a turbo on it, although I was toying with the idea of getting a 257 block, but I hear it doesn't quite work well with SOHC, even if it bolts on.

Freedom of speech is effectively dead

Yea, old news. It's been dead for a while now, I know, I get it. But some on here are either liars or in denial.
