Reminder to insure your stuff-especially a $7000 guitar

Bought it from eBay and I’ve never seen this level of damage before on a guitar. It must’ve been pierced by a forklift or a sorting machine got to it. The box and case are destroyed. Case is somewhat hard to fix. And the finish got dinged but no other major damage.

I learned that he didn’t insure it…the case alone is like $500 and the finish restoration is at least that amount too.

  • 16" m3 pro macbook pro space black with base specs. 18gb ram and 512 gb ssd. In great condition with some minor scratches near one of the foots and two very small nicks on the top lid. It's a bit fingerprinty but is in fantastic shape. No marks on the screen and has 100% battery health which is rare. $1350 + shipping
  • 12.9" ipad pro m1 in space grey. 128gb ssd. 86% batt health. Screen has always had a protector on and is in great shape. Does have a bit of damage on the camera lens, doesn't affect the camera whatsoever and hasn't propogated in years. Damage is only over the flash. Also has a dent around the charging port. $450 + shipping
  • 12.9" magic keyboard case is in like new condition. Keys still feel new. $75 + shipping

Last Tuesday, I saw a great deal on a Private Stock PRS guitar and I wanted to get some points on it, so I explored what cards gave instant numbers. I quickly settled on the Bilt card as I also have a nearly $1M mortgage on a less than 1000 sqft home–thank you San Francisco!

After I got approved, I tried to buy the guitar and immediately got blocked. Soon after I got an email from Cardless asking me to send a pic of my face while holding my DL, which I responded to immediately. This was over a week ago now, after multiple requests for responses on my end, and finally receiving the card in the mail too on Saturday, I still haven't heard anything.

How long should I expect to hear from Cardless? How do you guys escalate your cases? If this is the status quo, can I cancel this card and get the af back still?
