this is my insane hair regrowth journey! i also don't know how it happened. i thought all my hopes were over and i basically was going to have to do a hair transplant but. it worked out wonderfully actually. i still remember getting a lot of pain in my scalp after starting hrt, it was like the hair was trying to poke out through my skin. im obviously not the common result most people dont actually get this insane amount of regrowth but, im still insanely happy.

disclaimer: i still have more shedding around the temple area compared to the rest of my hair. Also that area grows a loooot slower than the rest of my hair. it actually barely grows compared to the rest of my hair, so my hairdresser doesn't even touch those areas since any inches cut off will take actual months to grow back. im happy they're back though, even if they take so much to grow compared to the rest of my hair. I do a little hack as you can see there and style my front parts merging with the rest of my hair, which makes them look like the same length ehe.

Hair doesn't get volume without frizz.

So, i've had a problem with my hair. specifically it ends up like you see in the pictures. Frizzy and poofy. It also seems to take over a day to air-dry, and about an hour to diffuse.

Currently i use salon line's curly line, i use their shampoo, conditioner, cream and gel. i usually apply it with praying hands and then brush through it with my regular brush, while completely soaked.

In the picture it's been diffused, and then fluffed up, because if i just scrunch it i end up looking like only a few massive curl clumps splitting my scalp, which is annoying. it also shrivels up and looks very thin. So i kinda have to split the curls into more curls to look natural but that causes frizz!

Yes, i sleep with a satin bonnet.

I'm looking to figure out what i'm doing wrong, and why it takes SOOOO long to dry. I'm not kidding, when i try to air dry it, i end up going to bed with it still wet. Diffusing takes almost an hour. I never end up getting a gel cast, no matter what i try because of that. When i break apart the cast the inside is still mushy and wet. It's like my hair traps ALL the possible moisture.

I think i could be using too much cream or gel? I have no clue. I just want to not need to fluff up my hair for it to get any volume or look dry, because even when it gets as dry as i can, still looks weirdly wet.

my routine is already described
