Are tan tap shoes “lame”?

I’m a beginner adult and I’ve only seen people wear black. But there are some tan shoes in my size for a good price on Poshmark I’m tempted to purchase. I’d definitely prefer black, and I don’t want to look like a grandma or something.

Is this part of tap culture in any way?

Does a bra like this exist? Looking for nipple coverage but NO cups.

I hate underwire and bra cups. I especially hate removable bra cups. I also dislike padding in general. Because I am not used to it, even a little padding feels like a lot to me.

I only wear bralettes with the pads removed. The problem is, my nipples poke through.

Is there any magical bra out there with no cups or padding but with material thick enough to cover nipples?

Thank you!!

TMS techs should be sensitive as to why we are there

Today I arrived for my 5th session and filled out the intake form as usual. The tech took it and said, “10 hours of sleep and you are still tired? I’m jealous!”

I mumbled something like “oh yeah, I over slept.” But really I wanted to say, “why do you think I’m here?! I’m trying to answer these forms honestly so I can see if my depression improves. Please don’t shame me into lying on the forms”

That was one example. Another tech always asks me about my weekend and tells me what I “should” do. I know she means well. But she said I should cook for my dad who was in town or get out and go on a hike in the nice weather. I want to do all those things so bad. But I’m stuck in bed 90% of the time. I can barely feed myself. It’s a miracle I show up to appointments.

Anyway, I guess this is a rant. For a mental health workers, I just don’t feel like my techs are very understanding of depression.

I love polyester and don’t understand the hate

All of my favorite articles of clothing are polyester. A dress from Athleta. Tops from Uniqlo. I love fabric that doesn’t wrinkle and doesn’t show sweat stains. And that I can throw in the wash. Polyester does all this for me and last forever. Also, it’s not scratchy like some natural fabrics can be.

When an expensive dress is polyester and everyone is disappointed, I’m just confused.

I will have the money to pay rent as soon as the state gives it to me. I’m back to work starting today, so future paychecks are coming. I was really hoping that I’d get the direct deposit before tomorrow, but here we are.

I can’t even pay half the rent. My credit isn’t great, and I’m trying to improve it. I don’t know anyone who can lend that much to me.

Should I take out a loan, and if so, any loan in particular? I’ll do my due diligence.

Should I ask my landlord for an extension instead? My landlord is a corporation. I’m not sure if I’ll reach anyone with a heart. Is it worth trying? Is there any risk in disclosing my situation?

I need the money ($2k) fast too, rent is due tomorrow. Any advice is greatly appreciated!
