Any info on these cuties?

Seeking any info on this cute pair I thrifted, they look like Monchhichi but their arms are too short to suck their thumbs. According to Google Lens the sticker on the rocking chair says "Raku-chan" which brings back an entirely different anime.

Just curious if anyone has any info, they're so darling!

Any info/restringing question

Thrifted this absolutely gorgeous piece today, was curious if anyone has any information. I saw some very similar looking earrings online that were labeled Zuni.

Also, as you can see in the second and third photos, the wire it's string on is horribly kinked. I've made jewelry in the past and would like to restring it so it's wearable again, I'd of course take many photos and lay the beads out so they stayed in the correct placement, but before I gather the supplies I was curious if there's any recommended wire for NA jewelry like this, or any way it might be disrespectful to take it apart or restring.

Haunted AG dolls?

I know how this sounds to skeptics and nonbelievers, but all the women on my mom's side seem to attract spirits. I live in a haunted home and also collect American Girl.

I redressed my Julie for the first time tonight, into her birthday outfit (dress, necklace, and hat) and a pair of pale blue sandals that came shipped with her.

I stepped away for about 45 seconds and came back to this scene. Julie there dressed up but with her sandals ENTIRELY removed from her feet and very far from her body. They wrap around the ankle and the Velcro was still intact, they could not have slipped off without some force and not possibly ended up where they did by chance.

Not sure if it's one of the ghosts in my home (there's definitely a small child and also a teenage girl) or Julie has her own spirit attached, but I said it was ok and I wouldn't try to put the shoes back on.

Not sure why I'm sharing exactly, I haven't had an experience this clear in YEARS in my home, I guess I just wanna know if anyone else got an AG doll with a bonus guest.

I'm not scared, I love kids and have worked in childcare for many years and understand sometimes they're not ready to move on, and I can be a safe place for them. I hope Julie's friend feels welcome here knowing they have other playmates 💕

More of El Chupatobillo

I swear literally every still of this creature off a video is demonic, I wish videos were allowed in this sub so you could hear the accompanying noises 😂

How do you store clothes and accessories?

Have a few PC dolls and have amassed quite a few outfits for each, looking for a storage solution that's a step or two above my current system of "everything in a box trying my best to keep outfits and accessories together" in my closet.

I'd love to see how others organize whole outfits and/or clothes and accessories neatly, pictures are greatly appreciated as I'm very visual!

(Photo for attention of my childhood Kirsten on the right having girl talk and a sleepover with a Kirsten I bought in a lot of clothes and accessories, she ended up belonging to the seller and I promised I'd take good care of her! Not big on duplicates but I can never sell her bc Kirsten is/was my best gal, too! Got the Hill House modern outfit so she can be her great great granddaughter, Kristy 🥰)

My little rescue dog came from a bad home and is still nervous of strangers, she clung to my leg like a little kid at the dog park today when a woman said hi to her

Marketplace haul

Scored this amazing haul of PC Felicity clothing, plus some AGoT shoes and professionally made off-brand clothing (last pics), the princess dress I could take or leave, adorable as it is (I collect the historical dolls, but I might save it for future kids lol) but the blue one is just darling and the most amazing quality. That entire skirt is all cartridge pleated with the tiniest little pleats you've ever seen, and the fabric is THICK! As a professional seamstress I admire the skill and immense patience of the maker!

It all came in that MASSIVE Collector's Lane trunk with murphy bed and vanity that pops up on here occasionally, which is also GORGEOUS. Damn, they just don't make stuff like this anymore!

Took my chi mixes to a SniffSpot yesterday and it was so cute to see them in full dog mode

It was supposed to have a pond (they love wading and I want to see if they'd swim) but I didn't realize it was seasonal and the owner still has it drained bc they're doing testing on the well water to ensure it's safe. They still had a blast!

Heishi necklace with missing piece

Hey all, I thrifted this gorgeous necklace a while back I instantly recognized as NA. It's absolutely beautiful but the main pendant is missing a shell piece as pictured.

Would it be worth it to try and re-string a similar, loose pendant, repair with a shell piece, or is this part of the charm and story of the necklace now?

I will happily wear as-is but I also want to be respectful of the piece and what is the best thing to do. I have tools and would possibly be able to carefully shape down a similar piece of shell if I were to find it, I've worked with abalone mother of pearl before and have the correct PPE and materials.

Any possible identification or more information anyone could provide is most welcome as well! There are no hallmarks or any identifying information.

Any help identifying these earrings

Found these today at the thrift and thought they were just stunning! My mom and grandmother both loved and collected Native American and especially turquoise jewelry when I was a kid and it reminded me of them both.

There's no hallmark stamps on the back or any other indication, I'm pretty sure the metal is silver because it polishes up exactly like sterling, but may be a lower percentage mix/other metal. The hooks look like they were replaced as they're a different color/metal and not tarnished at all.

Google Lens has been no help, as nothing remotely similar has come up. I'm wondering if anyone knows anything about this design. I just love them regardless 🥰

I had a pocket watch with this image on it, I think Romantic period, maybe Waterhouse, that I cannot find for the life of me

Drew it from memory in the confines of the pocket watch because it may be a small part of a larger painting. The pocket watch was stolen from me and I have never been able to find one similar, really hoping identifying the painting will help.

Proportions were as pictured, I am no artist. Features a very fair nude woman with waist length wavy reddish hair (may be considered strawberry blonde) either washing it or carrying/dumping out an earthenware pitcher. There is a waterfall behind her but she is not in it, and a pool of water at her feet and possibly a rocky shore before her, she is to the right within the bounds of the pocket watch and to the left is various forest plant life in blacks and greens.

It has that classic John William Waterhouse look of a very fair skinned woman against a dark background but again, I have done many searches and not found this image, it's so silly but I was very fond of this watch and the painting on it and would love to at least have a print of her for my home if anyone can identify this painting from my shitty drawing.

Sudden loss of taste only (not smell) 26 months post-exposure???

Hi, this is a weird one.

I experienced *some* loss of taste and smell with acute Covid infection, that improved drastically as the illness improved and was mostly resolved even before I was testing negative on home tests.

My second/most recent exposure was May 2024 and I've been dealing with common long Covid symptoms since (hypersomnia, PEM, elevated heart rate, etc), but loss of taste and smell has not been one of them.

I've been on a slow but steady improvement for the past few months but have suddenly lost my ability to taste salt. I noticed about a week ago that even super salty foods I eat sparingly (I have high blood pressure and eat a low sodium diet) tasted extraordinarily bland, and tonight it was especially apparent as I had some sushi with soy sauce and the soy sauce tasted like water, even when I tried a sip of it.

Being curious, I went to my kitchen and tried some pure salt, and then pure MSG. I could sort of taste the salt in the back of my throat, and definitely taste the MSG, but they had no sensation on my tongue at all. I tried sugar and lemon juice next and I could taste them on my tongue just fine.

Dedicated to the study, I took the bottle of Bitter Apple Spray I used when my dogs were puppies and sprayed some on a spoon and tasted it. If you have dogs you KNOW how wretched this stuff is, even the tiniest amount is gag-worthy and I didn't even taste it in the SLIGHTEST.

Had a very low grade (99-100) fever last Friday and Saturday and took a home Covid test then and tonight and both were negative.

Just wondering if this symptom can suddenly appear like this so many months after exposure.

I had a dream I confronted my long-time sleep paralysis demon, and he told me his name was Kevin Spaghetti

When I was a teen I first started experiencing sleep paralysis. I thought I was being haunted at first until internet research brought me to realize it was sleep paralysis. More often than anything, I saw the classic shadowy male figure with red glowing eyes. Sometimes standing over me, sometimes choking me or holding me down in bed. More terrifying than anything else.

As an adult I get SP a lot less, but I have been having very vivid dreams due to a medication change. I had one last night I was dozing in bed with my eyes closed and a man (I live alone) climbed into bed and began spooning me. I was frozen in terror but finally glanced at his hand and it was gray and shadowy and I just KNEW it was my SP demon.

I finally asked him what his name was and he said Kevin Spaghetti, and I began laughing and was like "Kevin Spaghetti, get the FUCK out of my house!"

Anyway, I just wanted to share, I know this guy is a common hallucination and I hope knowing his name makes him a lot less scary to other people, too 😂

Bought a pair of purple jade earrings and got these

I thrifted a GORGEOUS single hoop in purple jade and sterling and went searching for a mate online. Opted instead to buy a similar pair off Poshmark and got these in the mail instead. Heartbreak 😭
