Trying to find ways to be better connected to local politics
My city and county are being held back by restrictive zoning in regards to where businesses are allowed to be. I know many, many people that would love to have a bakery or coffee shop or small hardware store down the street from their house.
Because of the age of the neighborhoods, this could be easily possible, similar to what is seen in neighborhoods in Tokyo or Seoul.
Has anyone in the US or Canada successfully changed the zoning in their town so people can put businesses in the bottom floor of their property?
