Queer person living in Medina, looking to make new friends

Just moved to Medina from Buffalo. Lived in Rochester for 15 yrs before that. Doesn't seem like there's a big social scene of any kind out here. Reaching out to see if any lgbt+ friendly folk ever make it out this way and would like to occasionally meet up for coffee or sitting in the park on weekdays.

I found the organization Glow-Up, which is great. I was spoiled by all the social organizations that are in Buffalo. Figured id see if anyone ever makes it out this way on a regular basis

Best underwear for packers?

I'm on a tight budget. What underwear do you all recommend that do a good job of keeping packers in place? I love my packer, it's so nice. But it keeps shifting

Moves to practice while waiting for ACL to heal

Was going to get into BJJ, but tore my ACL in January. Had surgery in April. Still not cleared for wrestling or twisting motions, but wanted to know if there are moves i can start practicing that don't involve a lot of torque to the knees.

Every time some speeds on city and residential it's, doesn't use their blinker, makes our world a worse place to live

Edit: I meant sts, not it's. Thanks autocorrect while I have sunglasses on outside lol

Noticed Ppl driving worse about 10 years ago. Learned they can get away with it. Becomes worse and worse.

Something has to give. We can't have a safe community like this.

Just venting. I can't be the only one so tired of it

Any mutual aid groups around Batavia?

Might be moving to Medina next month. Wondering if there are any mutual aid groups I could get into contact with in the general area? I know Batavia isn't too far from Medina.

Anyone had any success changing town limitations on chickens?

Might be moving to a village that doesn't permit chickens within village limits.

Has anyone had any success overturning these kind of restrictions? If so, what did the process look like?

I already contacted the local zoning board and was told they would not budge, so contacting the county next to appeal.

Foot swollen, no sign of bumblefoot

Affected foot is blue due to antibiptic spray. No sign of staff infection, but clearly is a little swollen and causing her discomfort. No signs of external injury or abrasions.

Anyone with experience- is it time for vet? It's been like this for a few days.

Photos of unaffected foot for comparison. Sorry for the terrible lighting, it's the best I can manage at the moment

My orchaeocentrata has begun!!!!

I know it's not time to do anything yet. I'm just excited.

I am worried it's too dry in the bag. Is this anything to worry about at this stage?

Any erie county chicken keepers?

Got some chickens in the city. Excited for the eggs they'll be laying in a few months.

Looking to connect with other chicken owners, get any tips about how to deal with the eventual snow, ice, and blizzards.

Anyone used North Spore's shroomtek bag?

Company is selling an all in one bag for only $30, which seems like it would be just as cheap as getting all the materials needed with the uncle Ben method.

My budget is insanely tight so before I splurge, wanted to check here first.

Anyone have any luck with zoloft

Good news- I now have a team of doctors who believe me and can see by process of elimination that I indeed have ME/CFS. Should have official diagnosis by end of year after years of fighting with doctors.

However, my doctor does want me to try zoloft. I have always had very bad reactions to every other ssri or snri I've tried in the past.

I told her I was very reluctant to try it, but I'm willing to attempt the lowest dose if that means it'll help me get the diagnosis, even if it doesn't work.

Anyone been prescribed this?

First chicks!

I've raised budgies and cockatiels. First try at backyard chickens.

Have a sapphire gem, two rhode island reds, speckled Sussex, a rustic rock and a barred rock.

Had to return one for a prolapsed vent, exchanged for a healthy one.

Recommend chicken vets

Just got some chicks to keep in the city. Need recommendations for where you all bring your chickens for vet care. Would like to have them vaccinated for salmonella

Telling me my own resume must be wrong

I have been unemployed for almost a year. I have put 100+ applications. From office jobs that fit my prior skills as an office manager all the way down to server jobs and grocery stores. Multiple different resumes.

This is the latest fun feedback I received. The "hope this helps" kills me.

One of my favorite low effort, cheap snack cheats- fire roasted eggplant and veggies

Roasted eggplant is so flavorful, only 20 calories per 1/4 cup. Use it as a dip instead of baba ghanouj or hummus.

I have narcolepsy and CFS/ME coupled with the appetite of an elephant, so any low effort snacks are a huge lifesaver for me.
